Im assuming it has to be included in the rom but is there any way to modify any of the great roms we have to include the "theme chooser"?

I assume we're talking about the T Mobile theme chooser from past CM builds? I thought that required you to be on an AOSP rom?
Though I guess you did say 'with a lot of work'.

I know newbie question but if I dont ask it how will I learn.
I have stock rom and just regular TW. Is there any way I could add themes without changing roms or changing home screens?

The search will provide you with awnsers.
You need to be on a deodexed rom and themes don't delete tw

I actaually did search but no answers to my specific question. plus i dont think i said anything about deleting the TW. lol
There is a themed version of GTG TouchWiz (androDENA Gass) but it's only compatible with Froyo. For any other theming you need to be deodexed.
lol , im such a newb ,Im researching deodexed and well its not in laymens terms but i think i understand , so basically with say tw i cant load any themes unless samsung makes it or sprint

There is a bunch of custom roms floating around that are deodexed. Your gonna have to root and install cwm to flash any theme
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
thanks for the advice and info, im not into changing roms(im not a tinkerer lol) ill just stick with my stock rom and plain ol TW
No deodexed rom needed just use the tutorial in my signature, If u flash the stock rom via clockwork after rooting, you can have stock rom with any theme on it along with mobile ap.
Get it while its hot (read ice cold)

I know im gonna be picking this to pieces.
The apps need deodexing but apparently its not possible without updated tools.
You should let us know if there is anything interesting you find in there..
also just a quick question.. if i try to build my own ROM. is there a app on the PC i can try it with to see if it will actually boot? rather than flashing my actual phone

Ill let you know what I find for sure. I'm not too sure about porting but I doubt you can do it through an emulator.

Ah ok. Damn. Well still good for themers to use.
Ok I'm gonna make this quick:
I have rooted, bl-unlocked, and re-flashed my Xperia Play with CM7.
I enjoy CM7 because it comes 100% bloat-free and comes with lots of customization options, etc. But I'd lose haptic feedback and much of the gamepad functonality... I've Supercharged it (it really flies!) and customized it TO THE MAX. Everything ICS themed, system, statusbar, apps, icons, go launcher ex, go widgets, hacker's keyboard, widget locker and so on.
But I'm starting to miss the gamepad functonality, but I'd lose every customization option I've done to it, and reverting to simple old stock.
Is there a way to deodex the Stock ROM (if it doesn't come odexed) put T-Mobile's Theme Chooser and other customizations, such as battery percentage, launch Multitasking Pro by long-pressing home button, native overclocking and other stuff? Or may be dualboot or something? Every Hybrid ROM I've have seen goes more to the CM7-side rather than SEMC-side. I would be quite happy if someone showed me some kind of "guide" on how to do just that.
I already have my complete Titanium Backup backups (synced to Dropbox ) and CWM backup. I use WotanServer to get stock ROMs and I already know how to use flashtool, fastboot and CWM so I am pretty much ready to do anything to it. Just please tell me if I can mod Stock ROM, how to, and if I could put Theme Chooser in it. Thanks!
UPDATE: I have just read that DarkForestMiX "contains the best of both worlds (cm and stock)" with functional touchpads but I can't confirm... Has anybody achieved working touchpads on all games with DarkForestMiX?
Touchpad work like they do in cm with darkforest mix so only a few games work.

Ok, I remove darkforestmix from my list. How may I put Theme Chooser into Stock then?
BONUS QUESTION: What's the most compatible FW number?

Thanks... Uh... I forgot to ask another question So much curiosity...
Why are some FWs more compatible with other mods and what are the pros/cons of not using the lastest build? I mean, if I put .62 instead of .42 or .5x in what do I lose? Because for an user who is not familiar with stock builds it looks like a minor inconvenience, unless I am wrong, of course.
EDIT: [BLEEP] this! I'm removing CM7 once for all and flashing .62 for ONCE!!!!1!1!one!1 Then I will see if I regret or I am confortable with stock.
EDIT2: Wait, NO! I must first get someone to tell me a fairly easy way to deodex stock rom so I won't worry about (furthermore) modding!

as i notice,,,our legendary developers arent updating their thread..fixing bugs and making improvement....if this is the case...maybe they could share their sources for us to update them..ofcourse it should not be publicly shared...

some working on the CM9 port and Kernel development, others working on their individual projects or MAYBE giving some time to their life outside XDA
P.S. Just yesterday a ROM got another update, chobitsdigitalis.
Not only their life is developing for android, just respect the developers and wait patiently!
Don't forget to hit thanks

New rom with ext4 file system only needs alot of fix it will be leaked very soon(M.U.R)
Kernel is underdevelopment thats why no update becouse they want present us new kernel with stable functions
About the source
The reason is he give the source soo we can watch they work progress

most of roms for sgy are customizable. you may customize your rom as you like but make sure you have the original dev's permission if you publish your work to public. it doesn't applied to creeds v2.5 since it has different framework thus make any modification is difficult.

Is the problem only with Creeds v2.5 or with all of its versions? I've even tried replacing the dialer in Repencis with a Creed's theme's dialer, made by Sgy.Creed. Doesn't work.
I don't have older version of creeds so I'm not really sure about this. theme for old creed's are exchangeable with other rom. thus, I think these kind of problem only exist in creeds v2.5.
I was wondering if there is a rom that is included this into it. It seems as it can only work on cm 10, but when I read about those roms at the dev section I can't see anyone mentioning it.
Is it because our device is missing something??

pdroid is a mod which goes deep into the framework, thats why stock roms doesnt have it ...
it creates a proxy just like a firewall which allows you to lock custom programms internet access, it can be hacked into the framework while u r building from source

but Pdroid was included on enhanced 236 previous updates which is also stock rom

Isn't it possible to add it to a custom rom, as I understand from that topic I shown its link to, it can work with cm 10.
Is it possible for a non developer to add it to its current custom rom?
