Hey team, I flashed the rom v2.3.1 and I can't locate the voicemail app anywhere. When I tried to use verizons visual vmail it states I need to use my phones app. If there isnt a fix... can someone send me the sdk?
Thanks
Hello, I was wondering if anyone else is missing the backup assistant on this ROM?
Also, the voicemail tab within the messaging app is gone and I can't figure out how to check it without manually dialing *86 every time... Help?
Also, when I dialed ##3282 and entered edit mode, there is a ton of Sprint garbage in there....I did download the Dinc ROM, so this is very strange to me... Any ideas why Sprint info and addresses are in there?
Thanks !
The VM tab in the messaging app was for Visual Voice mail and that is not in the ROM. You can dial voice mail in the dialer by pressing and holding the 1 . That is the speed dial for voice mail.
The sprint stuff is because the ROM came from a sprint based phone. All the important VZW stuff is changed. That is also why BA is not part of the ROM.
I recently flashed cyanogen mod and I love it. The only problem is I have no way of checking my voicemail. I installed google voice but it took over my text messages and was not that great. Then I decided to do the sense visual voicemail trick and it did not work (maybe because I was backing up from a sense 3.0 rom?).
tl;dr
What app does everyone use for voicemail?

I've rooted my phone about a couple months ago with AOKP 4.1 and never got visual voicemail to work. I just recently upgraded to AOKP 4.2.2, flashed the cache and davlik and still can't get it to work. I keep getting a "password not saved, try again" error with the AT&T visual voicemail app. I tried to download Youmail to see if that would work but that gives me a "call forwarding connection problem or invalid MMI code" error. Can't really find much support for this on Google but has anyone else ever experienced this after rooting? I had visual voicemail working before I rooted but can't seem to get it to work now...

Use Google Voice instead.
there has to a reason why this was working when I was on a stock rom as opposed to a rooted rom. I can't be the only one having this issue and if I am, then it has to be my phone or account.
can someone tell me what their voicemail number is in voicemail setup? Mine is "+14432803015". In my call forwarding, its "+14432803013"
ok..so I got google voice to work but I noticed it changed my call forwarding numbers...I want to use ATT visual voicemail app but I can't get that to work and I think it has to do with the call forwarding numbers...

There was a thread about this a couple weeks ago but I don't remember if the guy managed to use AT&T visual or if he just started using Google Voice but I suggest you do a little search.
I'm not on AT&T myself, therefor I can't test it.
has anyone gotten the native visual voicemail att app to work on a rooted galaxy s3?

I don't think being rooted is the problem. I believe it's from using AOSP.
You could probably flash a debloated pre-rooted AT&T stock ROM and it would work (wild guess).
BINGO!...got this to work by downloading and installing the att visual voicemail app located in this post #75 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1452330&page=8
DON'T UPDATE TO THE NEW VERSION as it doesn't not work....not sure why
Bought from T-Mobile. Seemingly being forced to use the T-Mobile visual voicemail app. Anyone aware of a way to root and re enable native voicemail? Looking at the applications list on the phone it's installed but disabled and greyed out. Thanks T-Mobile....
Visual voicemail doesn't work on the unlocked version either.
Is it totally disabled on the unlocked version? Does the icon even show up in the dialer?
Does wifi calling work on the unlocked version?
WiFi calling works fine. No sign of visual voicemail in dialer, Google Phone from play store, or settings of either app.
This is quite infuriating to me as well, I had visual voicemail in the dialer on my 8 Pro and even if I try to force it I still can't get it to sync with my voicemail on the razr...
