More then likely it is the wall paper associated with the current Sprint ID.

In your wallpaper chooser "ID wallpaper" means you choose one of sprint/virgin's downloaded wallpapers rather than the wallpapers you got from, say, Google Play store or your own picture library!! So just ignore that option, forever and ever. It is nothing more than a library of sucky pictures you will never use which came with your phone.
===============
BUT WHAT HAS YOUR "ID" TO DO WITH WALLPAPERS YOU MIGHT ASK? So "ID wallpapers" (this is so stupid) has nothing to do with actual "identifications"... it has to do with the name of Sprint/Virgin's bloatware that comes baked into their phones. Its name is "Modile ID Essentials" or just "Mobile ID" (not sure if they mean it to be pronounced like the psych term "id" as in "did").
"Mobile ID" is their theme/skin homescreen customizer but it turns your phone into THEIR version of android, with different icons and layouts. It does nothing better than any number of themers and/or homescreen launcher replacers you can find in the app store. But it is part of your default 'droid OS on your phone, like it or not; it is benign though (and all major phone makers do this type of modifying).
Back to topic, one of the things they tout is a selection of wallpapers (i've looked thru them, they are garbage). When you get wallpapers from them, they do not store in your normal picture libraries but in the "ID" library and do not show up in your photo gallery viewer.
Hope this clears things up!!!
=====================

Sprint ID is Sprints built in theming system... Imo it sucks, delete it.

Glossy Minimalism - theme port from ADP1.1h to haykuro's Rogers r2 for Magic. [WIP]

Hey all. My friend just got his Magic last week, and we thought we'd give themeing the Magic a shot. This port/theme is based on haykuro's Rogers rev2 ROM found here. It's just a half assed port, at best, meaning that you'll have to fix icons and the clock etc yourself, using a home alternative and/or BetterCut. This pretty muck only themes the statusbar, the statusbar notifications and the menus.
Screenshots.

And a snap of the phone itself, running the theme.
(excuse the poor quality, the camera sucks)
Just thought I'd post it here since Magic themes in this section are few and far apart. As of now it's not a proper theme as it's just a modification of the files in the complete Rogers ROM, including boot.img and all that.. which means the update file is roughly 55MB instead of the normal ~10MB for a theme.
Anyways, if anyone wants to try it out, here it is: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HVDX8XY6
I take no responsibility for it, it might brick your phone. Try at own risk.
Nice one The desktop could use some new icons imho

Yeah, it's by all means not a complete theme. Just a proof of concept, if you will. I wanted to try Magic themeing out.
It's unlikely I'll ever finish it.
what is this for a weather app? o.o
is it possible to make black clean themes and use simple clean icons like the iphones. i do have an iphone but im in love with android so im not an oh my god i love iphone , just that the UI is so clean....Androids is very good as well but id like to have it cleaner, no fancy nothin simple black grey and white. Throw some cool orange/yellow in there.
Thanks

LiveWallpaper?

Are there live wallpapers on the glaxy s because they would be smooth as with tht prosesor and tht screen
Additionally, the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S packs all the updates brought by Android 2.1, like several new widgets and Live wallpapers as seen on the Nexus One – so, no need to envy Nexus One users for the animated homescreens, but keep in mind that this puts a strain on the battery.

How can I set the Live Wallpaper on the program menu?
Thanks
Thanks good to know they are there
@DaRkMyk
I dont think they would display on the proggram menu they don't on the nexus either but i dont know for sure otherwise when the phone is rooted im sure its possible to make the menu transparent so that the live wallpaper is visible

Shapewriter for Galaxy S3

I recently upgraded to the Galaxy S3. I loaded on my favorite keyboard, Shapewriter, and was disappointed to see that it didn't fill the screen like it did on my other phones. Is there anyway to make it take up the whole bottom of the screen like all the other keyboards? Thanks for any help.

send a note to the developer... they might not be aware and just need to edit it for the larger screen...

It's no longer supported. I have a backup of the APK that I use to install it with. It's not even on the Play anymore as far as I know.

That's clearly not supported on 720p screen, never heard of the keyboard but if you find people that likes it a developer might be able to help

If I recall, Shapewriter was bought by Nuance and incorporated into the FlexT9 keyboard and now those features are incorporated into the latest Swype beta...
So maybe try that?
You can always lower your dpi

I downloaded the Swype Beta. It's going to take some getting used to, but overall I think it's better than the default Samsung keyboard.
I prefer shape writer over all the rest I've tested. The automatic addition of a space after a period (.),saves hitting the space bar more often than deleting the space. The ability to retroactively capitalizewith one key does not require retype. The selection of typed words with one touch,allows the original selection list to be recalled.
I can't believe they did this all two years ago. Nuance now owns shapewriter.

Calendar not displaying event colors

I have a nexus 7 and Xperia arc running jj hybrid Rom. They both sync my calendar events fine but the phone displays all events as blue while the nexus has the custom colours. I have tried the latest version on the market, anyone know the issue here?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I tried everything today , despite the screenshot showing colours (on another device) , different colours seems too hard to achieve on the piece of crap Arc I have as well
I really need to upgrade my phone, using the nexus really makes the arc seem laughably slow.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Right , I worked out how to get the different colours - the new update allows the use of multiple calendar , you add them on Google Calendar on the web and then you use the option on your phone of which to sync with - they all have different colours . I first thought multiple calendars was a bad idea , but if you dedicate one to work and one to family , one to concerts etc etc etc , they will all display on the master calendar as different colours and focus on just family stuff for example - changed my mind , its very good .
Just for reference , Im a grown man and believe asking for thanks is a kids game . If the above helps anyone - please just shout a random number at the person nearest you to freak them out and make them ask why haha . Seriously - don`t hit it (no reverse logic included) .
This is Glass Calendar showing the different colours events , its the same in the Calendar app columns .

Ok, Well, I was really bored today, and was tired of the boring PACman ROM bootscreen, so I decided to spruce my phone up a bit, and conjured this little piece up
NOTE!: I DID NOT CREATE THE VIDEO THAT THE BOOTANIMATION IS BASED OFF OF, THE CREATOR IS XANDERCOM FROM YOUTUBE, I WILL NOT BE TAKING CREDIT FOR THAT PORTION, JUST CONVERTING IT TO BOOTANIMATION FORM!
Ok, first things first, the splash screen, damn, this was a toughy, because half the image (the bottom) had to be hand created in photoshop using sample bits from the top half, and it was really a chore to get it to look half-decent, and then theres the bootanimation, this was completely created and brainstormed and rendered by XANDERCOM on YouTube, not me, i just trimmed the edges and then used a tool to convert it to a bootanimation, here it is, its timed to end in the same amount of time PACman ( and CM10.1/AOKP i assume) boot but without further a-do, i present the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Splash Screen and bootanimation :

Even though I SPECIFICALLY state both in the video description AND watermarked into the video itself that my work is not for redistribution or reupload, you go ahead and take it anyway, and to add insult to injury you crop out the watermark.
What did you not understand about that very simple request? Hundreds of hours of hard graft go into each animation sequence I produce, and I allow people to watch them on youtube for free.
There's always one or two who think it they are somehow exempt.
