Got any pics of the cases in use? How is the build quality? Was gonna order the E5 but the leather I wanted was out of stock. =(
Ill take some pics tomorrow, quality is top notch, I went with black napa hide and its really soft, you can tell it was made carefully the stitching is very narrow (lots of stitches)and pretty intricate around the part that holds the phone. It has a stylus holder between the credit cards and the phone. Just remember the A5 has a wallet so to use the camera you have to take the phone out. I kind of do wish I had gotten the A4 even though its cheaper. Unless you always carry cash, just get A4.
Yikes those are expensive...but then again they replace a wallet so I guess it makes sense. Does it make the phone huge? (like a woman's wallet).
Tempting since my wallet and phone are always on me. Would prefer a Vaja case if I'm going all in though.

I guess the word "expensive" is relative to your situation. It was hand made from Napa hide leather. I mean you get to choose from 30 leathers on both the outside and lining. They will even stamp your name, or whatever you want on it. You can choose from about 5 different strap styles for the outside. I'm not worried about running into someone with he same case I like to have originality. Ill post some pics soon. Waiting for breakfast ^^
They have 0 in stock.. because they custom make them so expect about a week for them to make it then another week to ship.
*** Sorry didn't have time today being New Years EVE and all! Happy New Years all and I'll be back with pics tomorrow
e4 and e5 look exactly the same except e5 has a wallet, e4 doesn't so you get holes in the back for camera and speaker. Any phone case with a wallet in the back will have the same problem unfortunately.
here is mine feels great.i carry in my back pack coz i used to carry my harley long one in past...ask me if you need more pic.
edit:- one thing i didn't like pen holder very hard to pull out.last time when i pull it came only head...lol. luckily i went to Samsung and said malfunction so they gave me new.

I had the same problem initially then I realised all you have to do is not put the silver part inside. It wont stickout the top and its very easy to get out. Don't jam it all the way down like you have it now. Hope that helps.
Added the pics to the OP so you wont have to search for them

dont worry lol. I changed my mind when i found a carbon fiber skin online.
If you have an airbrush you can do it, and make it look good.
I airbrushed a spare back cover for my Dinc, did it in a nice pearl metallic blue, was considering doing a pink camo one for my wife. An Airbrush, proper prepping, and patience will net you a nice result. You could also look in the ricer section of places like AutoZone and get carbon fiber wrap/decal/overlays and cut that out to your phone and cover it. Alot of options if you are crafty enough and take your time. I have been making phone docks for our work desks, nightstands/etc out of wood for our Dincs, and will be making a few prototypes for the X before it arrives some time next year You would think Motorola would produce the damn things.........
Do you have a blog or something it would be interesting to see what you've done
gold and red is TACKY. keep the dark gray and do some red accents.

No I dont have a blog, I just like to tinker, but here is a pic or two of the prototypes I have done for our Dinc's. This weekend I will probably do a full redesign and make 2 for my X with magnets embedded for the home dock Multimedia Mode.
I have made like 15 of these, moved on to hardwood and going to stain the first one, better sanding, etc, the 2 I made for my Mom look fantastic, also experimenting with different fabric, I got a sq yard of nice leather, wondering how much I should use, only on the back? the sides? so yeah, just tinkering.

lol, I actually made a mini Adriaondak chair for my moms Moto Droid. I only did one. Was a major pain as I had to cut so many small pieces, then glueing it together was another pain. Never again on that one.
Those are just blah prototypes. I moved onto better wood and now that I have the Dx, I am going to work on one that fits the phone, and fits the curve of the back and puts it into Desk Clock/Multimedia Mode. My work schedule keeps me limited to weekends, and it has been 105+ and I dont have AC in my woodshop. Was hoping to have a few 5-10 made by now and all the bugs worked out for the Dx model. Wifes Dx is coming around the end of the month so I still have a little time.
Looks cool!
Nice job!

I agree, It doesn't even protect the sides all the way...
I wouldn't buy it
Kinda cool how they integrated the kick stand, but I agree its kinda a bad wrap around the phone.
It does cover more then the T-Mo Clear case w/kickstand though and for $9 i think i may just get it to try it out.
On a side note.... i stopped by the Verizon store today to see if the sweet Fascinate Kickstand case would fit on my Vibrant. It did fit almost perfect except the speaker was block and the camera was half blocked. I think im going to order this korean one and then if that doesnt work i may just buy the fascinate one and modifiy it to work with my vibrant. It really felt and looked awesome... just wish it was 100% perfect match
*My previous post got deleted by accident w/all the other 24 hr data during yesterday's maintenance*
I think that seller was selling 3 diff colors; black, white, and pink(?). I bought the black one 3 wks ago and recieved it about a wk ago. Initially, I thought that it was going to be shiny hard plastic case but to my pleasant surprise, it wasn't. The exterior is covered in a thin layer of hard rubber, covering the black hard shiny plastic underneath, while the inside of it is slightly padded. It looks a lot better in person than in pics.
Is the kickstand serving its purpose? Hell yea, it is...it makes watching movies on my dope SAMOLED screen that much more awesome The hard rubber makes for a good grip so it won't easily slip out of your palms like it sometimes would w/out it and it gives the phone an overall slick/cool (IMO) look. The only downside so far is that I'm getting some very small worn out spots where the hard rubber has rubbed off but it's not a big deal though.
Pics or it didn't happen, you say? Well, check 'em out !

No prob...it's a great investment. The seller also threw in a surprise gift--an extra clear jelly case!

just wanted to bump this thread and want to say i absolutely love this case. its slim and doesn't add any heft to the phone. i also like how the company added some soft padding on the inside of the case so our phones won't get scratched up on the battery case.
only problem is with the extra jelly case they provided; while looking and feeling nice, it's hard to press power button with it on.
at any rate, excellent case.
I purchased one about a week ago. I havent received it yet, but i can wait.
It looks good I just placed an order. thanks for posting pictures.
My korean friend sent me this over from Korea since we both bought this phone practically on the same week. Me in London, him in Seoul.
Thinking of selling a ton of these as they are good screen wipers.
You guys like?

Yeah I was wondering where that hole was on my S2, considering most phones developed by Asia based companies have some sort of cell phone strap hole or hook. You open the back plate and loop the strap onto a bit of plastic inside the back compartment. I thought it was a mic or speaker hole at first and didn't look into it further.
Also found my T-DMB antenna on the other side, it's a good 22cm long. It's been just under two weeks now, I feel like an idiot.

Just a note to anyone if using a case with just a hole not a cutout(like the official sgs case) for the strap thread that 1st then the phone
Take the battery cover off
Get a needle ready. I have some fine twezzers I used
push the end of the robot cord up and grab with needle..then gentlyuse other end of needle to push it around the small plastic raised bit and make sure its secure and replace cover
I ve hung my phone over sofa and flicked it side and spun it and it doesnt come out or pull batter off
I had a scull skin on but after awhile i got tired of it.. So i got this new one from another company. Takes a little patients and had to use my wife blow dyer but i think it looks really great.
Anyone interested in the carbon fiber version I got it from http://phantomskinz.com/htcthunderboltchromatics.aspx
you can see what they have by clicking the drop down on the top right! I search google for the promo code.. dont quote me i think it was summertime2011 or something

Someone could get a clear case if the wanted and it will fit right over...
My 2 Cents
I think that looks sweet. Thinking about ordering one
That's extreme! Seems very portal-esc
If I was any good at applying these things I'd be down.
What area are you from??
very nice and clean!
i bet the texture is awesome.
I love the way it looks, how long has it been on? I'd like to know how well they hold up, they're kind of pricey and I've heard complaints about the corners peeling up. Keep us up to date on how it holds up.
I covered my KLR650 motorcycle in carbon print vinyl like this. It withstood six months of gnarly weather, dust and offroad.
Before I finally peeled it off, my bike looked like it was totalled. However, the paint underneath was flawless.
You can get a good result if you are slow and methodical. if not, it won't look so great.
Hmm, I ordered a roll of this stuff from Ebay and got it in. Looks really slick and I covered a few things to practice. But I think I need a good pattern for the Thunderbolt. Anyone have anything? Even another skin and a scanner?
Would greatly appreciate it and be willing to send someone a big enough piece for a couple of these if we can get a pattern going.
I can even send people chunks to make skins if they are willing to cover a couple bucks in shipping.
Do you think it offers much protection other than from surface scratches? Say from falls to the floor or concrete? Doesn't from the pictures and manufacturer's description.

it's just a sticker so I highly doubt it does anything other than prevent some scratches.
Does look cool. How charred up does it look then its removed? That's always my worry with them
It removed no issues. I took it off so I can recut a new skin with better cleaner edges and there is no resides at all.
I bought a roll of black off Ebay, so I cut my own skin. I wish I had a good pattern.
Looks pretty cool in a something different kind of way, also storm-troopery. I personally wouldn't cover the kickstand, though.
thumbs up, i'm really liking this
Well I ordered it from eBay and it arrived today so as promised here's a micro review.
First impressions are not bad, I can't complain considering the price I paid for it and, for something to use whilst out walking or just using in the bath (pretty light duty stuff) etc... It will do the job quite nicely. You can use the Tab with it in the case and it works really well considering I have a screen protector on it too.
It doesn't have a cut out in the back to use the camera but it's no big deal.
I have the book cover case for my Tab, but it will not fit in the water proof case if the Tab wearing it, so you have to remove this first.
I've uploaded a video to YouTube if you want to see it in action.
And here is a bit more closer detail about it.
1) First Zip Lock
2) Second Zip Lock
3) Velcro to protect the locks

All in all, It's not bad, granted it's not a WaterBuoy or an Aquapac case but you get what you pay for, so if you want something to keep the rain off it or just peice of mind when using it on the beach (just anywhere near water really LOL) then the "eBay Special" will do the job just fine.... First ever review complete
Original Post
I was going to purchase one of the waterproof cases for my Tab from either eBay or Amazon, but has anyone here already bought one that can comment on how water tight they actually are?
Would you trust it to keep your device safe if it fell into the bath for example and could you use the camera whilst it is in the case etc etc... I'm mainly wanting one so it'll stay nice and dry whilst using it for Ordinance Survey maps whilst on walks and also if i drop it in a stream for example.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated if someone has bought one that is.
If no one has however, then I'll get one anyway and review it on here, in case anyone else is also interested in getting one.

There is another one eBay for £30 but I thought I might as well get the cheaper one first, as it maybe just fine for my needs, if not then I'll get the more expensive one.
Either way I'll let everyone know what its like when it arrives.
From your link:
"Boxed-product Weight: 64 Kg"
I really hope they made a mistake here . But even with forgetting the decimal and accidentally writing Kg instead of pound or something it would be quite heavy, as 6.4 pounds are almost 3 kilograms.
The product description does not provide much but I would be surprised if you will be able to use the Tab while in the case. It looks to me to be a waterproof cover that will protect the tab if it gets dropped in water but will require you to remove the tab to do anything.
There are excellent waterproof cases on the market for Apple products. I have one for my iPhone that offers full functionality while in the case and will protect the device even if it is submerged in 8 feet of water for over 24 hours, (I tested it). The manufacturer is LifeProof. They do not have a Tab version yet but are considering it. Otterbox is another manufacturer with a good product for iPhones and iPads.
The problem for manufacturers considering making products for the Android market is that Android tablets come in many sizes and shapes and are constantly being modified. By the time they produce the tooling to make a case for a particular device, that device is off the market. Apple is a much slower moving target so this is where the resources go.
