Former OG Epic Users: Worth the upgrade? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I couldn't find an at all recent thread, so I'm asking. I have an opportunity to get a really cheap E4GT, but I'm hesitant. I didn't upgrade Day 1 because I don't want to give up my keyboard. Any downsides beside losing the HW KB? We finally have GB, but I guess this may eventually (again, ) get ICS, and this deal is so cheap, I probably gain on resale value. Advice please? TIA.

Yes yes yes. If so unsure about hw keyboard, why not use the touch screen on the epic for a while...i love Swype for this reason....my wife has the epic, and I have the e4gt...this phone kills it...do it...

Coming from an OG Epic myself, yes for sure.

I too came from the OG Epic, and upgraded to the Epic 4G Touch on launch day, and it is a very worthwhile purchase. This phone is a beast and for once I am perfectly happy with the phone I have. Highly recommended from me if the keyboard is not a must.

Evo/epic/nexus s 4g/epic touch you won't regret it.
BEAST MODE.

Hmm what phone too lol. Seeing its from overseas I'm going to guess it could be a lot of things, maybe its a feature they have and we don't, maybe its a feature we will see in an update. But I too am curious. It almost looks like it belongs in Sense, but that phone isn't running Sense.
Sent from my EVO's 4G You?........I thought so

Identifying this theme/wallpaper

Probably a noob question, but I see this wallpaper all the time (I assume it's a live wallpaper?), to the point where I assumed it was stock, but can't seem to find it. Would anyone care to enlighten me what it is and where it can be found?

Search nexus live wallpaper in market. There's a free one in there highly rated but I can't vouch for it.
Found it. Thanks!
Although now I've got to do some major minimalizing of my home screen to be able to appreciate it.
It is stock on cyanogen mod

I'm on an Epic 4G Touch, on which it is certainly not stock, as I did go looking.

Just got a replacement phone until I am able to get to a real repair store

Picked up a kyocera torque. Too bad I can't find a root guide anywhere for it yet. The e4gt is a much nicer phone. The torque's radio seems much better though. This is a speed test I did while near a lte tower.

That isn't its usual speeds but thought it would be cool to show. Mods, I'm still loyal to the e4gt, I was just doing a little show and tell.

LTE in Hollywood where is that at so I can test it out myself
Hi Oscar. Thank you for the show and tell. It might best be suited in the pub though, as users will complain that they do not even have an LTE device. Anythng goes in the pub, and they love talking there. :victory::silly:
Sorry.

HUGE request!!

I know this is a long shot, a veeeerrrry long shot BUT, its still worth it.
Who has used WebOS? Who misses it? I know I do, and would love to see it running on my E4GT. Seeing as HP open sourced it and a team of developers started porting it over to android, I was wondering if any of our devs would be interested in giving it a shot??
Just trying to keep this bad boy alive and miss how awesome WebOS was and can't believe devs didn't back with apps.
I guess Palm and HP had a very poor marketing team. Anyway here's the link!

I've always been interested, but sadly I can't develop roms..
I believe something like this would require a custom built kernel specifically for WebOS. Which I don't see it happening.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Correct, and with us having no kernel devs (they are always the first to move on lol) it's not very likely.. I bet it would run better than any Palm/HP device ever ran it tho lol
