Multicon App - Epic 4G Apps

Multicon is a widget that allows you to display more apps on your home screen without using as much space. I use it and i think its pretty practical.

I would totally use it if it supported more then 3 columns... just for how I have my homescreen setup...

I used this quite sometime ago, but now with folders in GB, I use those on my homescreen instead. Accomplishes about the same thing. Click the folder, choose the app. It may be one more click, but I figure it's worth it to have one less app.

May also want to check out swipepad while you're at it

Anyone try this yet?

New home shell app available on market
Type in search bar mx home. It will populate with 2 versions download the one that's ces2011.
I can't find anything with what you gave to search.
Care to share a video our something?
I looked at it but I didn't download it. Looks interesting. Anyone actually try it?
I tried it. With out the full version, it is too difficult to say if it will be any good.

Search for MXHome, one word. As for the actual mod, I agree with raylusk. Though I can say from the limited amount I saw, I hated it. I'll take another look when someone takes the plunge and buys it but until then I won't lose any sleep thinking about how it might work. I despise the single clock screen with set icons.
Tried it. Aside from the 3D clock, the app list is a bit more structured. If you tap the app icon or slide up from the bottom, it brings up an app list that can be sorted by name, date or category. It looks okay, but it seems pretty limited especially when compared to a shell like LauncherPro.
Tried it. Imo they are trying too hard. Its neat but over the top bloatware.

CPU Speed in Notification Bar?

Is there a way or an app that displays the current CPU Mhz on the notification bar? (Kind of like SetCPU but on the notification bar, instead of within the app).
Looking one for just testing. Don't want any of those swiss-army-knife apps that include a million things though.
Display CPU frequency (and maybe option of displaying percentage instead) should be the only feature.
Search market for temp+CPU pro. There's an option to put a selected state on your status bar.

Thanks, the market has really been bogged down with keywords and meta tags and such.
Even with filters it's hard to find what your looking for lol.
Yeah it seems like you need to put in the exact app name for it to show up correctly. Kind of strange that the search function could use improvement in the Google android market..

I thought that i was the only one trying to find things. Just recently i was trying to find Shoot me in the market but forgot the actual name of it, took forever with keywords. Didn't come right up with screenshot, screen grabber, root screen, etc...

Free App to sort apps by alphabetical order?

Hi,
Are there any free apps, or cheap apps that organize your folder alphabetically?
Thanks
Folder organizer. Lite or pro version 1.50

There are a lot of them both freely available with ads and paid apps. I'm using one that I really like called, "AutoApp Organizer Free" on both my phone and on my tab. The interface took two clicks to alpha organize my apps. I'm running Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and no FCs in the three weeks I've been using it. The UI is easy to understand, well designed and the small banner ad in the free version is unobtrusive. I did try the free version of Folder Organizer and had problems with freezing on my tab. Contacted the Dev and never heard back. Uninstalled it was... right quick and in a hurry. Since I have not had the same experience with AutoApp Organizer, I haven't had a need to contact the Dev (a good thing!!) so I can't comment on the responsiveness of the Dev but the comments in the Market (still can't call it the Play Store.... I think its stupid!) Indicate he's quick to reply and quick to fix when problems have been reported. Here's a link to it : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.utility.autoapporganizer
Good luck and Enjoy!

Apps Organizer - Love this app. I only have my home screen with app folder groups rather than 3 screens of app icons. The icon set for this app is attractive and not cheesy and I love how you can change the icons if the default ones don't work for you.

[HOW TO] Turn Your M Into a BEAST! (Wifi Tether, apps2sd, Full Screen, Ect.)

I have decided to make a post with everything that I have done to my M to solve some of the issues I and many others I have found had with it.
I suggest you root your phone to get the full benefits of it and these modifications: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1940630
How to unlock your bootloader: http://vulnfactory.org/blog/2013/04/08/motorola-bootloader-unlocking/
1. Run and function in full screen mode (No Nav Bar) (UPDATED!)
Easy way:
Download full!screen from the app market by tsorn, what makes this aspp so great is that you can set it to turn full screen on only when selected apps are running then you can optionaly set function keys to be placed in the corners for things like a back button, home, or menu, its really great!you can even set the size and opacity of the buttons, as well as location!, this app has made my razsr all i dreamed it would be!
Harder way:
This will require a app called HideBar (shocker..) found on the market it allows you to either use widgets or a system notification to hide/unhide the system bar at the bottom of the screen with multiple options on showing it again, to control your phone without your system bar I use LMT ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150 ) it allows you to control your phone (Back, Home, Search, Menu) with gestures, Input number is 5, please follow the directions in the post, there are others apps that do this as well, all with differnt features, look around. This is great to play games in full screen.
2. Wifi Tether
Follow this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1981625
3. Moving Apps 2 SD
This is somewhat a PIA until you get the hang of it but can be done using a app called Directory Bind, Official Thread: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262 ) discussion on using it with the M here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1913576
There is a easier way to do this if you just want to move large games over 1gb look for gl2sd in the market I tested it on my M and it works fine.
4. Notification Toggle widgets.
This is done using a great app with a amazingly helpful dev called "Notification Toggle" which can be found in the market, it supports all the great Cyanogen Like Toggles that we all love, works better if installed a system app which is really easy!~ just follow the help link in the app to see how he gives multiple examples. This is very customizable sp? from widget button styles to colors and more!
5. Fully working Android 4.2 KB with Trace!(Think Swype.)
I LOVE THIS KEYBOARD! Uses trace like swype and swiftkey, but IMO much much better, less memory, way more accurate and a cool preview function as you "swype". thread found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964663
If you have any other great improvments you would like to share post them and I will add them to the list!
Thank you!, Hope this helps some of you enjoy your M a little more then you do.
P.S. Feel free to pm me if you need help finding or getting hold of any of apps! however if you Google "Aptoide" I think you will manage getting everything you need to set up your phone very, very, cheaply.
I take no credit for any of the information provided, this is simply a consolidation of information i found useful to modifying the overall enjoyment of my phone.
Gonna give that Notification Toggles widget a shot thanks!

Welcome, its great I changed my background to match the color of the drop down and it looks built in, ill post a screen later.
Also added #5 the android 4.2 Keyboard!
so for the 4.2 keyboard do you just switch apk's or is there some other method to installing it from the "4.2 mod package"?
edit: seeing the stock rom is odexed I'm guessing you just install the apk instead of replacing the stock one?

Its Five for me keep trying different numbers
For full screen you should try full!screen by tsorn It's been working for me. I have been using the free version. The paid version you are supposed to be able to setup full screen for only the apps you want full screen when they are run.
Thank as for the tip ill check it out now sounds more of what I want anyway
Found the app will add it to the post when I get to the PC its a really great app thanks for the heads up
Full!screen is great much better I dare say perfect for what I need.

Has anyone had real success freeing up internal memory using directory bind?? Using it is massively frustrating!! And I'm already frustrated that my new awesome phone is full with apps already
Thanks in advance

LOL thank you...also it doesn't seem to bind the actual app to the SD card, just the extra data....so it intrinsically only solves like 30% of the problem....
And yeah in addition to all that it's really convoluted

It is a convenient feature, but it'd be nice to be able to access it through the normal home screen.

I'd like to know too.
It's called DayNote, there is SecDayNote.apk under system\apps, but I don't know how to run it.

To start DayNote from a shortcut like any other app. Right now it only starts when you use a smart cover and it wakes your tablet.
