I have a de-odexed rom (MoDaCo R8 RC1 at present) but wanted to make it a little more my own. Can someone please explain how to adjust application icons? I have already replaced a load of png's in the framework for notification icons but not sure if apps work the same way.
Many thanks in advance

I was searching for this as well. Seems there are several solutions, some of depending on the Launcher app you use.
Most generic solution (and most uncomfortable) I found here: http://www.anddev.org/how_do_i_change_the_application_icon-t5975.html
Thanks beegee that's exactly what I needed, confirmation that it is what I've done already, just with a different png file.

in which apk is the market icon?
Can anyone tell me in which apk the Market icon lives please?
This question regards themeing a stock ROM. I'm looking through decompiled system/framework apks, trying to find out where touchwiz launcher specifies the various wigits & app links we see at initial boot.
Can someone help me out?

Is it possible for someone to upload a stock ICS theme for CM9's themechooser so that I can replace the softkeys in the APK? I want to keep the stock CM9 theme, but I want to have to change the softkeys without having to flash a zip or have to change the soft keys manually each time I flash a new nightly.
So, if it is possible, can someone upload the apk for me? I would be very grateful!
Thanks!

I've already looked through there and I already have the softkey icons, I just didn't want to lose the stock ICS theme or have to flash something for each new rom.
Hey all,
I have made a CM9 transparent statusbar before, editing drawables and statusbar.smali. I want to do the same in CM10, but the smali file does not exist in CM10, that I can find anyway.
Just wondering if anyone has any clue on how to achieve it in CM10
Thanks,
G

I'm wondering if you've noticed that this is not the Q&A section?
Is there anyone that can port UX icons to our J5?
Is it even possible to do this, to create some sort of flashable that will install UX icons?
Do i need to disable signature check for this?

It is possible, but you have to decompile SystemUI / framework-res.apk / Launcher to play with the icons. I don't think you need to disable signature verification.
But why to go in such a trouble when you can find such icons in Play Store?
Like this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...icons&pcampaignid=APPU_1_ABugWN3COoP7Uu3ynKgF .
