I know, I know its apple but I've read some reviews and they seem to be getting decent remarks and for $29 they don't seem to be that bad of a deal. They should be leaps better then the headphones that came with the galaxy nexus. So is anybody planning on trying them out? Anybody already used them?

I wouldn't bother. You can save up a little more and get something decent, like Sennheisers.

i've heard from equal sources that they're good and bad, i agree though, save up and get something nice. Please not beats tho
I wouldn't get beats. Maybe klipsch s4's although I would only get the apple ear pods because they seem robust and would survive being in my pocket.

I'm this sooo close to buying them. Cuz I hate the headphones that come with Nexus. They always pop out. At least these apple headphones won't pop out as easily.

Go spend $15-20 on a pair of skullcandy buds and you'll get a great pair of headphones without paying an arm and a leg for decent sounding headphones.
My skullcandy buds work perfectly fine for me, they are crisp, clear, and sound great. Plus they come with 3 different sizes to change from if they don't fit snug in your ear.

If you ask any audiophile what headphone is the best, they'll tell you it doesn't matter. If your audio file is a high quality (256kbps+) then it'll sound good no matter what headphones you use. In fact, most audiophiles use cheap $10 generic earbuds as opposed to something more expensive.

TJ Maxx has soem nice $8 ifrogz
or get something better, with audio if you go cheap, really go cheap, there is no point in spending "a little bit more"
Either buy what you really want or head to TJ Maxx.
A lot of people talk about lack of bass because they don't know how to insert in ear phones properly. Even on expensive phones.
Good headphones with clear mids and airy highs will really disappoint you if you don't master this skill as they will sound utterly unbalanced and unfun if you don't get a good deal on your ear canals.
Figured i add something even more useful than the initial advice you might not see as one.

I've done a lot of research and this seems to be the consensus: They're better than the old pack ins, but not near as good as Apple's claims.
This dude hated them:
http://gizmodo.com/5943222/apple-earpods-review-less-terrible-still-garbage
This dude thought they were alright, but preferred a certain $7 set of earbuds:
http://thewirecutter.com/2012/09/testing-the-apple-earpods-vs-our-favorites-headphones/
And I ordered said certain set of earbuds to see what the hype is all about. Apparently if you want to step up from these $7 earbuds, the next best sounding ones are $90 Velodynes. That sounds pretty amazing, but I will know first hand in a few days.
Oh yeah, those $7 ones:

best in ear buds i've ever used were the Monster Turbine's
I know they're from Monster, but damn, the clarity, bass, and mid to high's are great.

I have a pair of these and they sound fantastic for the price. However for my ears the fit with any of the included tips is terribly uncomfortable and fall out pretty easily, but I've also never found any in-ear earbuds that actually feel comfortable and stay in anyway so take that for what it's worth. Also I can hear the wires bouncing around pretty badly as I walk.

Amazon had a Cyber Monday sale on the Klipsh Image X10. At about $85 I think they where a great deal. Keep an eye out for the UE TripleFi 10 to possible go on sale between now and Christmas, they are sometimes at around $100 (or less) around Christmas.

I may have the unpopular opinion, but I have to give my good graces and kudos to the new Apple earpods. I have had the old earbuds and now the new pods. The difference is extraordinary. I am hearing clear differences between the two. I don't ever use stock music players with my phones, even though I've found the stock music players in both the Note I and II, are really great. I use third party music players because there's usually much more customization. With the player I use and their enhanced bass settings, plus the new Apple earpods, I am hearing extreme bass and really clear sound in all of my music... sounds I don't recall hearing with the old Apple earbuds.
Also, unlike with the Note I and/or the old Apple earbuds, the new earpods actually work with the Note II as a functioning headset! Found it out by sheer accident. They have never worked with any other Android phone, so I never tried. A friend called me while I was listening to music, and I answered the call before I attempted to disconnect the earpods. That's when I heard my friend talking through the headphones. I said, "Hello" and he heard me... loud and clear according to him. I was super excited! So for only $29.99, you may wanna try these. If you can get em from Best Buy, you can try them out and if you don't like them, you can return them within the window of returns for a full refund. You can't beat the price, especially if you end up liking them.
I love these threads
I want the BEST earphones, i don't care what they are, I want the BEST....as long as its under $50
The BEST in my opinion? Westone 4R. Aural bliss
Best headphones money can buy
For around 90 bucks, you can pick up a pair of sure se215's. Just look around you can get them on the cheap, and you will be hard pressed to find a better pair of headphones in this price range. They sound better than the Klipsch s4's but are a little more pricey, and they have a very nice fit.
I love the sound of the Ultimate Ears Triple.Fi buds. I've tried a bunch, and they are the best I've heard. But, if you're going to be rough on them, expect to buy a new cable every 6 months or so.
Lately, for just walking around and listening to podcasts, I've been using the Plantronics BackbeatGO (they were on sale at BestBuy for $80, you can get them at Amazon for $75 now). Only 4.5 hours of battery at a time, but if that's long enough for you, they are incredibly comfortable and not bad sounding.

I love the S11, though I wish the N7 use apt-x (like my Razr M). But even without, it's the best BT headset I have ever owned.
DO be careful with eBay purchases of them though. Motorola issued a redesign of them a few months ago because the initial bath has an issue where the main band will crack in the middle over time. The new sets have a new material that does not have the issue. You can check by looking under the USB cover for a stamped 'R' above the version number.
I have the Moto S10. Seem less bulky then the S11. Pairs without problem. I bought mine for like $10 on a sale site.

I have a pair of LG Tone HBS700 as well as a pair of moto S305's. Both work fine though i prefer the Tone better since i wear glasses and over the ear headsets put a bit of pressure on my ears. LG has an updated set called the Tone+ but as Coronado is dead mentioned the N7 doesn't use APT-X, and since I have read some complaints over a shorter range on the +'s compared to the regular Tone, the regular ones are a better deal and work well on the N7. They sit on your collarbone and have small earbuds coming out of them that magnetically stick back in to the headset when they're not in use.
SONY Headset Wireless Pro (now is a new model out) is also good. I use it with my Sony XPERIA S AND Nexus 7 at same time. It has multipoint connection, so you can wath videos on Nexus 7 and when a call is coming in, it switched automaticly to the phone. You can use this headset also as FM-Radio and mp3 player.
I have Motorola S10-HD, and absolutely LOVE it!! I bought mine a while back from 1 Sale a Day for $25 or $30(don't remember). Didn't even realize it could be used for phone calls when I bought it, I bought it simply for media. I've used it with my Note 2 for many phone calls, and no one knew I wasn't talking directly in to the phone until I told them. I have it paired with my Note 2, Evo LTE, Asus Infinity, and N7 FHD. I can switch between devices with ease, and battery life is great! I've never killed the battery before, just charge it once a week so it isn't ever dead when I want to use it! Definitely the BEST BlueTooth headset I've ever owned, and I've been buying a new one once a year for about 10 years!! I'm so pleased and impressed with the S10-HD that I've been looking at buying the Motorola S11 Flex HD now, and start using the S10-HD just while I'm cutting grass.

Nokia BH-905i
I have one of these for almost 2 years now and it looks like new... Good sound, good construction quality, it haves a purse, acessories to plug to a phone or mp3 (without bluetooth) and it haves active noise reduction. Works like a headset also...

Here is what the Motorola S10-HD looks like. The band goes around the back of your neck. If fit correctly, the band really doesn't even sit on your neck, it just kinda hovers/floats. I often just rest it around my neck when I'm not listening to it. It is super lightweight and I'll forget it's there a lot of times.

If you've enjoyed the S10-HD, I definitely recommend the S11 Flex HD. Just keep in mind that you won't want to go back to the S10, even for cutting grass... The S11 brings vast improvements in sound for music/media, is much better balanced (physically), and is great for calls like the S10 (I have owned both).
@gogol if you haven't done so already, be sure to check with the airlines you use to see if Bluetooth headsets are permitted in flight before you buy. Some airlines are happy to sell you WiFi access but won't let you get away with Bluetooth.

The S11 doesn't seem to be a big enough of improvement to warrant $100 when my S10 work just fine. The S11 also seems like there are more areas to cause issues like cracking or tangles.
Good to know there are no issues though.

Which model of the S11?
I'm not sure, as I haven't looked at them too much, but I believe there is the S11, S11 HD, S11 Flex, and then also S11 Flex HD. Not sure on that, just what I was thinking. I know there were some issues with the band cracking on one of the models, but I believe that Motorola released a revised version. Maybe the Flex HD is the revised version/model that resolves the cracking issue? I'm intrigued now, guess it's time for me to start searching an reading.

LG Tone+
I've owned both the Motorola S10 and S11 headphones. The first pair I had bought was about 2 years ago and I loved them but dropped them in the toilet. Then I bought the S11 model which was just a good but eventually the power button stopped working on them. I ended up breaking them trying to fix the button myself. The power button was somewhat of a common issue and there was a DIY fix online that I tried. Just recently though I went with the LG Tone+ headset, and these I absolutely love! The Motorola ones never sat well in my ears and weren't that loud. The LG ones are great because they're like regular ear buds, you can really get them inside of your ear. If you're going on a flight I would highly recommend the LG. They will provide much better noise cancellation. The only con with the LG pair is the wire for the ear buds. They could easily be ripped off if you're not careful.
I'm super happy with my Plantronics Backbeat Go 2.
I'm using the LG Electronics Tone+ HBS-730 Bluetooth Headset. Works great with my Mac, iPhone, and Nexus7.

+1 for LG Tone+
I use the LG Tone+ as well and I absolutely love it. I had a Sony HBS older model and I absolutely hated them for having no depth in the audio. Some songs sounded horrid. LG Tone+ are a breath of fresh air. They are in-ear earphones and fit nicely in the ear canal. Instead of keeping them around my neck, I rest them under my Shirt's collar. I can't even feel them. I have them paired to my Nexus 7, my Galaxy S3 and my work phone.
Tone+ also have inbuilt presets (which can be activated by pressing the volume up down buttons simultaneously). I use these quite a lot too. Some people prefer to keep the default preset active and use the equalizers on the phone.
I love the Tone+ and would highly recommend it.
Just received a pair of Jaybird Blue Buds X headphones for my new Moto X. These headphones sound fantastic !!! Bass is good and not too over powering like in Beats. Highs and Mid range are clear and lots of detail. It has lots of power to spare since i have mine less than half way in volume level and it sounds pretty loud already. The convenience of wireless and Bluetooth technology is un-beatable. Plus these headphones are sweat proof and coated with Hydrophobic solution. They look and feel very durable. The adjustable straps and multitude ear accessories are a great bonus. If you are looking for a great set of Bluetooth headphones that sound and look fantastic then you cant go wrong with these Jaybirds. Nuff said. Enjoy.
Yeah I've only ever heard of praises for these earphones. Too bad they are a bit on the pricey side but no doubt would be very worth it if you can fit it in your budget and can take good care.

I got the x buds a while back (look for coupon codes, you can usually get them for 15-20% off from the jaybird site). Honestly, the main reason to get these are for the gym/exercising. They are the best bluetooth headphones for lifting and exercising. The cord is small so it doesn't get in the way or get tangled at all. The only issue I have with mine is that volume control doesn't seem to work 100% correctly with my moto x -- going up or down always makes the volume go down. (Could just be my pair, but it did work fine with my Nexus 4.) Edit: Actually other moto x owners have reported the same problem, so it's not just me.

I have the new Jabra Rox: http://www.amazon.com/Jabra-ROX-Wireless-Bluetooth-Earbuds/dp/B00IL7B2YM
and I'm really liking them. They are still pretty expensive, but a little cheaper than the jaybirds. I don't have the jaybirds, so I can't compare, but most of the reviews I read before I purchased the Rox said that they preferred the Rox to the jaybirds for sound quality. They are also water resistant so there won't be any worries about sweating with them.
