Charge your phone to 100%. Turn it off. Charge to 100% again. Boot into ClockworkMod with 3 finger salute. Hit Wipe Battery Stats. Now let the battery run down making sure you have a journaled ROM so when it dies you don't get data corruption.

What does this do exactly..?

Is there a significant difference between that method, and using an app like BatteryCalibration?

Just makes your battery meter more accurate.

No. That app makes it easier than the method I described.

Phone not sleeping?

Please don't flame me for another battery thread, but I'm just curious if this is normal for CM10 and if there is a way to fix it?
My phone looks like it wakes up like every couple min.
I already applied the build.prop tweaks. Can anyone help me?

I'm evaluating Juice Defender Ultimate on CM10, but it's too early to tell. Have you tried looking at running apps and see if you have something stuck in a restarting loop? Maybe get Cache Clear and clear out a misbehaving app cache (not sure that would have an effect)...
Not sure if its from an app cause this doesn't happen on gingerbread. If it were though how would I identify the offending app?

I run juice defender ultimate with the cm10 nightlies. It doesn't seem to be consistent. I have gotten the same results as the OP even with JD running occasionally. One other thing to note about JD is that it doesn't seem to retain my settings. It winds up defaulting back to the balanced profile. I haven't done extensive research yet. Just some minor observations. But using JD (when it works) is still worth it to me.

Check your running processes and see what's there. I have found media server to keep the phone awake at times for unreasonable lengths. But I haven't found what's triggering it yet.

I don't think its the cell strength either because I have an airrave, but I have used the nexus modem and I didn't think it really made a difference.

Try to freeze google maps, if mine is unfroze it wakelocks every 2 minutes. -.- also turn off network location. system updates can mess up your battery life too. also, disable google now if you dont use it, its a battery killer as well. i get at least 1:40 on a stock battery screen on time, and 5-7 hours screen on time with a 3800mah battery. phone usually deep sleeps.
I do think google maps was the culprit here, I cleared data and cache and that seems to have really helped. Thanks for you response.

I believe it is a moisture indicator and turns red/pink when it comes into contact with moisture. its used for warranty purposes.

Well, that indicator haw nothing to with your battery.
Stop worrying about the battery.
If your phone had came un contact with liquid, and if you find any problem with your phone, then take it to a service centre.

You need to calibrate your battery.
Charge it fully and allow it to drain till the phone switches off. Then charge again.
You can also check the battery capacity in service menu.

I am in PAC ROM I tried as told but the service test screen din't appear and anyhow I found the issue ITT was because of voltage change at different frequency

Trickle Charging Using Battery Monitor Widget

So I'm on Android 4.2.2 (LiquidSmooth v2.2),
and pretty much ever since a long time ago, I use Battery Monitor Widget to charge the battery to most maximum capacity.
I would make the update rate every 1 minute, then as the % goes from 99--->100%, I would see the charge rate slowly but surely go from +200mA to +100 to +50 to +2 to +1mA....then once it reached +0mA, I knew the charge was COMPLETELY done (I had even set up a notification trigger to play music once "Charging Completed" had been properly reached)
However, recently, for some reason, or maybe it's the ROM or maybe I'm doing this wrong to begin with, but the "mA" will not hit +0mA, it was just stuck at +1mA.
Neither does the music/song play to indicate "Charging Complete". What is going on? I use Greenify but I made an exception for this application.
Any help?
It's probably the rom. It could be something to do with the enhancements he has on it.

Well how do I make it notify me?
I'm not familiar with the app, but if you don't wanna switch rooms (there's a ton of other choices that are practically the same) then I am gonna check it out and get back to you

I checked it out and you should probably check out the settings, go under sounds and alarms. Also a recalibration might help.

Media/Download using up alot of battery?!

Put a new battery on my phone since I've been having charging problems (yes I've tried different cables this was last resort), battery was fully charged turned phone on and left it alone for half hour. I check the phone and it's gone down to 90% in that time.. I checked Gsam to see what was using up the battery and 70% was being used by "Media" im not downloading anything so I don't know why it's using up so much power...
I'm on Slim Rom Build 7 with K7 kernel if that's any help but I've been having battery problems/charging problems for awhile now no matter what Rom I use... stone have any ideas why it would be draining my battery like that?
Move your media files off your phone, then clear data on Media Storage and reboot. Wait a bit and watch for it to continue. If it stops acting up, copy your files back to your device.
This used to be a big issue last year with all our leaked firmware. Media scanner would hang up on something causing it.

Oh and if that doesn't solve it, you will need to post a lot more info for us to go much further. Including BBS and screenshots of the processes listed under Media.

[Q] Screen Flickering?

Hello,
Hope all is well.
I was wondering if anyone experienced an issue with their Samsung Galaxy S4 where the screen flickers on the bottom 3/4 of the screen with a greyish tint? Not sure what is causing this and can't seem to figure out if it is a hardware or software issue.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated - thank you!!
I'm afraid that is a hardware defect.

Hardware defects are covered by warranty. So long as you can reproduce the flickering on a 100 percent non rooted stock ROM.

Doubtful it is hardware
I have been having this problem since the 4.3 update. It usually only happens when the screen dims down due to screen timeout. Then it will start to get worse and project the flicker at regular brightness. A reboot usually fixes the problem or lessens it for a period of time.
I have tried with and without my live wallpaper, auto brightness on and off. Some people have recommended a factory reset to see if that clears it, but I have not been willing to do that yet since I have data that I do not want to loose and have not had the time to really troubleshoot. I am completely stock.
This has been driving me crazy for a while now. If you do factory reboot please post if makes a difference.
I think I've found the best solution out there for most annoying screen flickering issues... Done a substential amount of digging and finally discovered the app "Twillight" which works like a real charm by enabling backlight control feature... Try it out first, then thank me and share your experience here ...
