Hi.
I have bought mugen 3200 battery for my sg2 to replace my samsungs 2000mah extended battery.
I have charged it for 8-12 hours for few days, as described in their user manual, but somehow i'm not getting "REAL" capacity from it.
i'm using Resurrection remix 2.7 with siyah kernel 4.1.5.
i have tried mugen calibration app, but i dont think it does anything...
i have tried to do the "RESET BATTERY GAUGE" in extweaks, perhaps it will recalibrate again, but as far as i can see, i do not get the real battery presentege.
battery is draining just the same as my Samsung's 2000mah battery.
is something wrong with the battery? the phone? kernel? rom? with me?
thanks.
Say I were to but an extended battery, would you recommend calibrating it ever? If so from which method, clock work mod recovery or android app?

Im also interested inknowing the answer to this question. Thanks in advance!
I am on my 5th charge on my Laza 3800 mAh extended battery (and case) and they are a perfect fit. I never calibrated it and it's fine. With the stock OEM battery, I have to recharge it around noon everyday and now it last easily a day or 2. The only thing is that even though it claimed to have NFC but it did not seem to work, but I don't use it anyway.

Anyone tried this one?
I'd like to know, too. I need a new battery charger.
I upgraded my original battery for a third party 7500mah battery bit it doesn't seem to last much longer / if any.
Do you need to do something when you get a new battery? Like calibrate it? I heard it's a myth and it doesn't work but it doesn't seem to recognise the extra battery.

You calibrate a new battery when you first charge it. I don't think it would cause a huge difference if you didn't though. There's a website called battery academy or battery university or something that can explain it better than me. Just look at the battery and then Google what it is. I'm pretty sure it's a lithium polymer.
So I stared to use my S3 after I borrow it from my grandma I installed CM13 and the battery didn't last more that 2 hours of standby... after that I installed OCT-M but still dying at the same 2 hours...
I need to buy a new battery? Is worth it at this time?
Please help
Have you tried to "recalibrate" the battery? If not, try it out and if it didn't solve the problem may its time to change the battery.
If you want to resurrect your s3 i suggest get the 7000mAh batteries. Anker and Zerolemon best batteries for our s3. The only differences between the two is NFC( Zerolemon. Anker doesn't have so its much cheaper.
CONS:
It will make your phone LITERALLY A BRICK.
