I feel like I or someone else should make one giant FAQ about ICS features so we might put an end to all these new threads that pop up rehashing (valid) questions.

I do have one question...
Can you be kind and Brutal at the same time?
I'm Posting the update zip for you all, I'm not having any problems with it. Also if you want feel free to port this theme to any other build as there are only Icon Changes, I did not get into XML or .9.png Files.

If you want a fileden.com account get one they are free just keep skipping the ads, its a bit of a pain in the ass but worth it

Good thing it's not punk. . .
Anyways, I get what you're trying to do, but the theme doesn't exactly flow together. Personally, I'm most fond of the RiddleBox colors, the purple, lime green, and black work well together. Personally preference is all that is. As it is right now, it's hard to just get the psychopathic vibe, as it's not a smooth skin. Think of the jokers cards, think of the Bizaar/Bizzar album, they were all relatively smooth and really non violent with more of a dark twisted nature. Maybe try to capture that?
Since when is ICP "punk"??? Seriously ...
They would be considered a weird mix of metal/rap. Nothing like punk in any way. I'm not a fan of anything more than a couple songs but I know them well enough to know that's nothing near punk.
Also, perhaps it's dead where you are and all you folks listen to is top 20 BS and dance music, but honestly I'd rather listen to that then the techno crap you listen to out there.
Back on topic. Not at all my style. Too bright in my opinion..... HOWEVER, keep in mind that if you like it? Chances are someone else does as well. Don't try to make the masses happy. Make something you like and (like you have) ask for suggestions. There WILL be people that like it.
Thanks
Thanks for your kind and even not so kind words.
I'm working on making it flow now... I know know how to make a theme on the technical side, I'm still working on cohesiveness. and knowing what colors work with what, you know what I mean?
I am using purple, green, black, and a touch of other colors.
Will post updates later when I have more done and more time.

Just because psychopathic went back underground where we belong after the hay day on MTV doesnt mean they went down hill. Psychopathic is one of, if not the stongest underground label out there. However, their actual 'phone' functionality niceities are interesting - e.g. call handling while in another app, or during a meeting, etc. I'd actually pay for that as an app for our phones!
Also, their multitasking handling was cool.

Hi ilordvader,
You should go on the official site for more info: http://www.firstelse.com/
Also, it has nothing to do with Windows Phone 7 series (This UI is based on Limo).
To my mind, this thread should be moved in General forums.
Cheers.

Of course. I was trying to be sarcastic, because WP7 (just like iPhone) will not have true multitasking.
BTW,
The company which is responsible for this phone is an Israeli company called Else (foremly Emblaze). Another israeli designed cellphone is the Modu (or Modo, i'm not sure) which is intended for developing markets.

I hate tiny buttons
I love WP7 for it's big buttons.
I have said time and again, when you are mobile, you are HANDICAPPED. You cannot be looking for tiny buttons while you are walking down the street and typing an email or browsing.
So you need a phone with a large(er) size i.e HD2, and big buttons.
HD2's biggest flaw is it's array of tiny buttons on the bottom.

they should worry about the 10%, because they are not a very well known company and they could use all the customers they can get, i saw the ui about 1 month ago, and after that i read about it again yesterday in this thread. they would be better off selling the ui idea to a bigger OEM or MS or Apple or Google, because only then this ui will become popular.

Guessing that is aimed at people like me. Listen mate, if you wait 6 weeks for a phone you want to make sure it's right.
As it happens, the auto brightness is really aggressive, which means the screen automatically sets it's self very low and therefore it's very obviously patchy. If you turn the screen up it looks fine but this obviously isn't that practical.
There's nothing wrong with asking a few questions.
Tbh that is exactly what you should expect when you are a website originally built for developers and there has been the release of a new phone primarily aimed at developers.
They'll naturally want to know the capabilities and issues with their phone, more so even than another phone like S2.

HA HA yeah it's proper funny all this lark.
I can't stop laughing at all those weeks I waited and the £530 I paid.
Every time I think of the bugs and problems, I have to pick myself up the floor from letting out a hearty laugh. I just can't help myself. In fact... I think there's one coming now....can't....stop....myself.......HA HA HA!
Come on now. We bought a new phone. It was expensive. We waited through delay after delay, and uncertainty from retailers telling us one thing then changing it at the last second to something else.
We're trying to enjoy it, we really are, but the problems are stopping us from doing so.
Oh...and Coors Light sucks. Drink some proper beer.

A phone/tablet/monitor with a dead pixel, car with a chipped windshield, or a plasma HDTV with image burn are real reasons to complain/return the item. I have no problem with someone wanting to return a Nexus they bought if it has a line through the screen or the volume buttons aren't working properly.
The difference here is that most people are complaining about extremely subjective things, and frankly getting really nit-picky about finding "problems".
Its like returning a car because "it just doesn't handle right for me", a plasma HDTV because "it doesn't look very good with my stereo equipment", or a phone because "the menu button doesn't work the way I thought it would".
But this isn't exclusive to the Galaxy Nexus. People like to complain about every phone that comes out. Most of the people complaining don't even own the phone either. If you read any forum within a week after a device comes out, it'll make you feel like the device is an absolute POS that you shouldn't have paid $5 for. Get the device for yourself and make your own decision, I'm sure you'll be much happer with it.
Anyways, OP, I'm with you. Take all these threads as pure comedic relief. There's no reason to put any stock into what these people are saying. Read it for fun, form your own opinions after you use the device.
I got a complaint and i dont even have one yet. And that is just it. I dont have one yet.

There's nothing wrong with expecting things to work. The problem is that most of the things you are expecting are things that you should have known about or things that never existed or were expected to be implemented.

You sound like a facebook addicted teenager. You realized that you bought a device that will set the standard for FUTURE software development right? If you want to be at the forefront of android OS, you have to let app developers to catch up. What, do you think facebook knows what will happen with ICS? If you can't live without those apps, go back to a gingerbread device, there are many choices!
I find it funny that you listed low quadrant score as an issue. You should really research about a phone before you buy it, this will inform you about the hardware limitations such as no sd card support or 5 mp camera before you take the plunge of purchasing the device.

No micro sd card support - this will always be an issue. The first 2 didn't have it, why would you think the 3rd one will. Galaxy Nexus has always been a developer phone so its treated differently.
Confusing user interface - From what everyone is saying, they are loving the new interface. It's refreshing and when you get used to it, its hard for people to go back
No Facebook contacts sync
Nexus S 4G had this issue. This isn't a issue with facebook not following a certain protocol that Google requested. and they took it off the Nexus phones. Or they just don't like them because they have their version of a social network
No native social network widget
They do its called google plus. Everything isn't native but 3rd party sources
Can't add more home screens
As much as I have to kinda agree with you in this because its nice to have 7 or more screens, its a dev phone so you knew this was happening long before ICS was announced

Just get another widget that looks better anyways. They never truly had a digital clock worth adding on your home page anyways.
Quadrant benchmark only 1500 score
There have been cases that proven that the GN has scored better on web tests and other tests. Quadrant can be faulty. You are using a gingerbread program on a completely different OS. A bigger jump than eclair to gingerbread. I would compare the Razr scores as the initial breakdown (OMAP4430 vs OMAP4460 in the GN) and use that as your base comparing since Razr runs on Gingerbread
Lag in many areas
No Facebook events calendar sync
Only 5m camera Megapixels shouldn't matter. and Someone has done a camera comparison. The GN is not far off and infact has better low light capabilities than the S2. Once again this is a the same story over again, you knew this going from Nexus S that the camera won't be the best class, the same holds true here.
NO SWYPE - Swype will eventually be available through apk once it is compatible. Google isn't going to put swype on their phones. It's a 3rd party software and its up to other manufacturers to decide if they want it on their android device
THE VOLUME BUG HAS REALLY PUT ME OFF AND SAMSUNG ARE STILL TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE, I feel ya about the volume bug. But thats what it is a bug. This is common for alot of new products, just like never buying the first year of a new model car. But alot of reviewers from publication have not seen this volume bug so it could be something else entirely and should be fixed soon.

I put my thoughts above.
The volume bug is the only one that is severe. I don't mean to be rude, but the rest is just plain ... ignorant.
Quadrant is an accurate benchmark? It is appalling unreliable.
Megapixels is a measure of camera quality?
I'd return in your position.
What a waste, there are so many people drooling over that phone and can't yet get it...then we have to see this!

Wait. You dint realize... uh nm.
I invented cyberspace. You're trespassing.
Hey just wanted to know how many of you would like to see onscreen buttons on whoevers ICS rom comes out first.
I took Xboarders Preview and got them working IMO they are sleek and like a bit more than the capacitive but thats
IMO anyways also I disabled the capacitive buttons so it all onscreen just wanted to know :
What do you guys prefer? and would you like to see them enabled Im sure xboarder will have an add-on or something
like that but in case he does not provide it its not difficult at all its just a thought
what do you guys think?
I'll stick with buttons on my hercules.if i ever get another phone without buttons then I'd do that.but personally i like buttons.i used to not like capacitives but got used to them it's w.e. Really

I feel like they would be a waste of screen real estate.
The capacitive buttons are there, why not use them.
I like on screen buttons, but if our phone already has capacitive buttons then why would we just let them be there for no reason?

this. man I can't wait for ics
Hercules was here
Personally I'd want the buttons even if my phone didn't have them. My Kindle Fire has the on-screen touch buttons like the GNex, and I'm not a fan of that. I'm absolutely glad our phone doesn't have the hard keys on the outside like some other phones too. A soft touch does the trick and that's just like how I like mine.
And to expand on what was said earlier, having on-screen buttons (even though we already have capacitive) is a waste of on-screen space, wouldn't you agree? Purposely, people who bought this phone wanted a larger-than-most screen so personally I wouldn't want to waste all that valuable space.
But...I guess it would be a cool mod to have. Not for me, but I could see users jumping on and wanting to flash this mod either for novelty or general use.

Pretty much.

If my phone has buttons...then I do not want them duplicated on the screen. I would rather have more space for content to display.
I want the on screen button.. Im sick of holding the home button to do multitasking..

Why not make it as a zip/add on?

Because its actually easier than that its just pushing a modded framework-res.apk from adb or root explorer and rebooting
Im also tired of holding home 2 multitask n its one of the main reasons I modded fw n started thread
