Is it possible to get the verizon visual voicemail on CM7?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA Premium App
yea it's possible and actually easy. download root explorer mount rw. go to build. prop and open in text editor. find the line that says.... ro. horizontalvvm= true. change that to flase, let it save, then reboot after that you can download it from the market. Also, you can use this for any rom you run.

Is it false or flase?

LOL false..... my bad.
If I've helped you out.....hit that thank you button.
I was a little disappointed at first when I lost the Dinc visual voice mail... Then I found google voice.
Just use Google Voice. In my opinion its better

One of my family is getting a inc2 (which is rooted by xtc clip and has custom rom installed). Since the previous phone was a basic phone, I require backup assistant to transfer the contacts, but is there an apk that I can install on the phone on that as the rom doesnt include it?
You should be able to log into the backup assistant website then save all the contacts and export then to your Gmail account.

I've used the app before but I don't.know how to get my contacts back because I don't have the app on cm7

Does anyone have this and will they upload it for me? Turns out it doesn't show in the market when using ics.

I have access to the "My Verizon Home Account" app, but the "My Verizon" app doesn't show up. I'm on MIUI ICS 2.3.16, if that helps.
I just made a titanium backup file back when I was using magnolia 2.1.1 when I transitioned to aeroevan's 3-13 build. The app actually worked pretty well.
It's the best! Beats the rest!

Do you mean visual voicemail? I just downloaded the visual voicemail from Tmboile from the market, installed fine, left myself a message from another phone, and it plays in visual voicemail. So everything works as expected.
Is weird cuz i always get this error message....

Its called messaging+Google voice. Its just like stock, but it uses Google voice for sending texts.
Sorry if this has been posted before

Weird, it was free for me.

I see that it is free for a trial period.

You can already send texts with Google now... I don't get it

It uses the default messaging interface as oppose to the Google voice interface, which is horrible. I like this app so far. Its helpful because I don't have a text messaging plan and only use Google voice for messaging.
5 bucks...sold!

Doesn't seem to be working for me. Whenever I try to send any text via Google Voice I get a red exclamation error.

You can't initiate texts from the stock messaging app that go out under your GV number.

Like the Idea, but not sure I trust an App that can monitor messages sent to/from my phone, and also can request authentication tokens from my google account... Or an App developed by someone that can not even provide a valid Developers website link.
Not a fan of 3rd party apps that require access to this type of information.
And if you Google the Developer "DreamBig, Inc" it's all about College related stuff...
It's been working as well as expected for me. Not too worried about privacy concerns. It uses Google services to access Voice and not your username and password. But thank goodness for the paranoid/careful.

I had that issue in the beginning also. Then I went under Google voice and unchecked notification and the message asking permission to log in through Google voice appeared.

Yeah, no idea. I must be doing something else wrong somewhere. I have personally NEVER been able to get text via Google voice to work. I've tried numerous times and just get frustrated because I know its supposed to work.

Also... As you can see in the screenshot, I don't even have an option in the dropdown for texts.

Did you use the new "Messaging" app beside the already existing stock "Messaging" app?

yeah, but this isn't too important for me. The risk/reward factor is too high for me, for an unknown company to access my Google account, to do nothing really new for me. besides, I have unlimited texts.

App works great and since I use Google voice as my main number this is a function I have always wanted.
But now reading the couple posts I am paranoid and debating on uninstalling.

It passedv the Google tests, but it's just not important to me, if you use gvoice exclusively, then maybe it's worth a shot.
