Yes i got a few roms on my sdcard now.. I kno how to flash them of the sdcard.. Just dont understand how to download them to my phone.. My friend put them on my card for me.. And he aint around to help
You download the Rom on the computer it will be a .zip file don't unzip it. Plug your phone in and mount as disk drive then drag the Rom you downloaded on the sdcard (not in any folders) then unplug phone and use a file explorer like astro to see if its on the sd card

If you can't do simple copy and paste then customizing your phone is way beyond your comprehension

If copy and paste are a trouble, rooting is out of your league.
Click the download link of the rom, then if you phone is mounted to the pc, select it. If not, download to your desktop, copy and paste it to the sd card.

You go to the dev section, find a rom you like, click the download like. Once its on your pc, mount your phone to the pc via usb cord, in the notification bar, select mount as usb, copy and paste it on the usb, and you're done.

I am currently running SkyRaider3 RC3 with a radio 1.00.03.04.06 which has been modified to permit AP tether. How do I flash the newest 2.15.x radio? Just throw the .zip on the SD root and flash it in Clockwork? I am also S-OFF.
Thank you.
Go Here
Download the file in the first post. Place on root of sdcard, meaning /sdcard/. Reboot phone into hboot. It will automatically detect the update and ask if you would like to apply it. Select Yes and let the update commence.
This will take a very long time. Probably 10 min or so. DO NOT PULL YOUR BATTERY OR DO ANYTHING TO DISRUPT THE UPDATE. I suggest putting your phone down, and leaving it there till it's done.
Also, there is no such thing as a stupid question, your just trying to learn, although a search would have probably helped you out
Thank you for replying :]
Loaded that file onto the root of my SD card, restart into hboot, and while it detects the file, it says something about there being something wrong with the image. I can't read it very well - some messages scroll quickly, then disappear, leaving just the hboot menu. Tried redownloading twice and no difference. Strange.
I assume that I'm not supposed to extract anything from PB31IMG.zip?

Your sdcard has to be formatted FAT32. Back ur sdcard up to ur PC and reformat the whole card fat32. Then put all files back on and try again.

Here is a Mac thread discussing FAT32: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?ac=375750
FAT32 is a format which works with both Macs and PCs - should be very easy is the consensus.
I haven't yet flashed the 2.15 radio - have been doing some bandwidth speed tests on my 1.x radio, and speeds seem very solid... not sure if I should bother with the flash after all...
This is very easy is you have S-OFF. just download the PB31IMG.zip file place on root of SD CARD and boot into HBOOT then follow the steps.

Ok then try in this way if u have an alternative SD card for (eg) lik 1GB r 2 wt ever jus format that card make it fresh shuld not contains any folder then copy the zip file in the card an now try the same method definitely it ill work for sure. Cus I have tried it myself dude
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S using Tapatalk 2
The file has to be renamed 'PG76IMG.zip'
And it should be placed in the root directory, don't forget to remove it once your finished or it will scan and ask you to update each time you enter bootloader

Hi everyone , I am new to this. Ive had my Evo for 2 years and finally decided to Root it. I did it , was successful. I installed an AOKP JB rom and was bad , the screen would go off it wouldnt let me unlock to get to the home screen.
I did not make a backup (I know , after seeing at least 100 warning or recommendations to do so, im a [email protected]#$)
I Installed a file called ss_stock 4.67.651.zip. It gave me the stock rom. But its giving me some error. It make sme choose "Force close" and it doesnt let me do anything.
I want to install the PC36IMg file , Ive read some threads and post and if Im not mistaken its the correct file to bring you Evo back to stock form.
I have to different PC36IMg files on my zip , I tried flashing both from sd card through the recovery option and it says scripit error.
Please help me with this I love my phone and don't want to lose it.
PC36IMG files should be flashed thru the boot loader not recovery. Put it on ur SD card(not in any folders) and then boot into ur boot loader, it should read it and ask u if u want to update. Press volume up to accept and let it do its thing

ok , is this using the command prompt. I tried doing that but got nowhere.
can you give me a quick explanation of the first steps. I remember using it to root it , i remember typing in rootevo4ggingerbread and then doing some thing like that with recovery.img. But with the pc36img i dont know where to bein with the command prompt , I appreciate the help.
U don't need the command prompt. Just put the file on the root of ur SD card ( like I said not in any folders) boot into ur boot loader by pulling ur battery, then replacing ur battery, hold down ur volume down button then press ur power button. Ur bootloader should read the image zip and ask u to update

I am lost. Ive taken the battery out a lot of times. When it boots it says no image file or something like that. If you know of a video online it would be awesome too. Sorry for the trouble
It never asks me to update anything
Where do u have the pc36img file located? But I have to ask, y not just download a different rom and flash it?

Move it out of that folder and paste it on the root of the SD card. As Sasquatch said that's where ur going wrong. It does not need to be in any folder to run thru the bootloader

Once u connect your phone put it in disk drive a window should pop up choose the one that says view folders or something like that choose that one thats were the pc36img should go remember if on windows dont add .zip it will add that automaticly

So my friend brings me his gsm nexus and is not loading up stays stuck and loading Google screen but does nothing from there..... I asked him what he had done and he said he went into cwm since he was having problems with his phone and decide to format everything on it sdcard/system/ etc etc etc..... I never done something so stupid before lol So I really don't know how to help him...... any way to be able to flash a stock rom maybe via odin ? or stock anything to get the phone to boot up again ? any help is greatly appreciated....... I could boot it up in recovery mode but since sd card is empty I can't restore any roms or any backups since he seem to have deleted them all
well your friend formatted the /system directory so there is no rom on there. of course it wont boot up.
follow this to go back to stock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895
DO NOT USE ODIN.
also, tell your friend to leave the phone stock until he knows what he is doing.

OP, you might want to uninstall the drivers you currently have for 'android 1.0' in device manager, reboot the computer and then try installing the new drivers.
Or use a tool kit to download a factory rom and flash it.
Edit: can't you mount the sdcard using cwm and copy a rom to the sdcard?
