I don't know what I want but I got the dock yesterday and I really have zero use for the thing. I don't really like docks. Don't know why I bought it but it was the only thing I could but that would work with my extended battery.
Anyone have anything good?
I'll trade you for a beat up PPC-6700.

I'll give you a oem battery and aftermarket 2000mah battery
Still seeing what's there. Come on people. It is the HDMI Dock with the cable.
Hey guys, quick question. I brought a few extra batteries for me EVO via eBay. Now I am not expecting them to be the same quality as the OEM batteries, but for 20 bucks and for emergency use only... (I got a car charger, 2 batteries, battery charger, HDMI cable, 2 cheap cases, screen protector, and a weird stylus for only $20) so my question lies in swapping out the batteries. With all the talk about battery stats, will swapping out the battery screw with my stats? Any thoughts, recommendations?

As long as you charge the replacement to full via the wall charger before using it you shouldn't have any trouble.I have 2 replacements I got from China that last almost as long as the original.

My charging port went out on my EVO, and Sprint is trying to claim that it is physical damage and will not replace my phone under warranty. Does anyone know of an external charger I can use to charge my phone?
Or will one of those wireless powermat chargers work? Any experience with those?
Thanks
yea a power mat charging does work
Just call customer care, they did the same to me for white heat spots, I called costume care and they didn't hesitate to replace it

okay I just did that. They said the EVO is back ordered and it could be 7-10 business days...
okay so back to another charger. Does the powermat require the USB port? or can that charge the battery without it?
Buy a spare external battery charger from ebay and a spare battery or two, Charge one while you use the other, done deal.
Found one cheap for ya! Better hurry! Sale ends today.

I have this charger and I've been using it every day all day for 3 months. The spare batteries and the charger are the best accessory I have purchased. I would purchase another without question.
I just ordered this from the T-Mobile website. I had the same thing with the vibrant and even with this bigger battery I need a second to get through a full day. I'm terrible on battery life on every phone though so it may not be a necessity for most. On my Sensation I was able to get two Anker 1900mah batteries and charging station for $20 on ebay but I can't wait for those for this phone. Hope this helps others.

It is also a dock for your phone so win win...
It would be real cool if while phone was on dock it charged it too! OP could you let us know if it does. Thanks!
i'm also looking forward to order this set as well
i'll definitely need at least 2 more spare batteries and charging dock
If it's the same as the samsung vibrant which I believe it is then no it does not charge your phone. You'll have to have your phone plugged in separately or just swap fully charged batteries.

Ya figured as much... I could do fine with just the two bats. but little worried about how much abuse the back cover can take, the way it clips in is fine but after daily or twice daily seems like it might wear out mighty fast since its so little material already!
There's also this dock, but doesn't include battery charger: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EDD-D1F4BEGSTA

Yeah I like that dock but I don't mind paying $50 for a battery and sort of a dock, but cant pay $50 for just a dock. I can play my videos through my hdmi or wifi so no use for the stand alone dock.
I really like the official Samsung dock. Can't justify $50 for it though.
MediaDock does not allow data connection
Heads up on the desktop media dock. I picked it up thinking it would allow a charging/ubuntu connection. Nope. Charge only.
Ordered the charger w/spare battery. I had one of these for my Vibrant and am already missing the spare battery... Exchange push email + the other items I run on the phone make a evening battery swap inevitable...
Just ordered one. A spare battery will be great on this phone, not to mention 2. I could go 2 days without a charger.
Deebo took your bike too?
Just got mine today. Pretty good quality and is what you'd expect from Samsung. The part that holds the phone is decent but far from a dock. Id be worried somebody could bump the table and knock it over.
All in all, its a external charger and does what its designed to do - charge batteries. I can cycle through my 3 batteries evenly now and not have to worry about juice from here on out.
Deebo took your bike too?
Short and sweet, my usb port is sucking now and theres a dead spot, I have to prop it against something to charge, while sprint may give me another devices, I'm really lazy, and I'd rather just try to get an external battery charger, besides waiting for a new phone and such. I have 2 batteries anyway . Many 3rd party chargers have bad reviews, and I may just get the 20$ OEM samsung one on Amazon but I'd like some feedback first. Thank You!

Got some cheap one off of EBAY that was packaged with 2 of those super crap Samsung batteries for $20. Charger works great, batteries not so much...maybe 1000 mAh really.

That would be great if you could do that!
@xopher lol I might consider that option
@kennyglass, seeing that my epic no longer wants to take the charge despite the LED being red, I might just do that in the meantime and hope it works

yiboyuan is the name on them
I picked up a package deal of a couple of extra extended batteries, an extended back to accommodate the larger battery, and a non-name brand wall charger for about $12 on Ebay earlier this year. The seller was in Brooklyn, so no long wait from Asia.
The charger is nothing special but it works fine. You can place the battery in the unit and plug it directly in a wall, or plug in a usb cable and charge up your phone that way. Nice light signals when the battery is fully charged.
Look for the guy, his ebay name is accmonster. Several folks around here had good deals with him.
I can vouch that he ships quickly and has good prices. The extended battery is not quite what the ad says (it's more potent, but not 3500). Shop around his online store and see if he has a deal that fits your interests. Good luck.

Your welcome. I got one of mine quick with the hyperion 1800's I ordered off amazon. I don't like the extended because of the bulk and I think some rom's don't like it but that is another story.
I have 6 of these. they work.

I have the same one also, threw the batteries out after they both died around 6 months after I bought them lol. But the charger works perfectly EXCEPT there is something definitely wrong with the USB port on it. When I plug the phone in to charge through the port on the charger, it for some reason disables touch input to the screen. No idea why, must be a strange defect or something. Happens with all micro USB cables.
