I remember something like this happened to me. Only thing I can think of is making sure Wifi is off, and data on. Then load it up, and see if it authenticates.
and the dumb app still does not work over WiFi. WTF sprint. So if i want my phone doing other crap over on my LAN wile i watch the race i cant

I just downloaded to see. First time I booted the app up, I did using 3g. Then I exited out, turned on Wifi, and now Im listening to Race Radio. Very interesting while there is no race going on!

Yep, had to uninstall first, then turned off wifi, install under 3G and I am ready to listen to some in car audio!

The first time I ran the app I was on wifi & it errored out & said to turn off wifi or find 4G. So I turned wifi off posted my post on 3G. Then I turned wifi back on some time after & it worked over wifi. Hummmm?

i think it is part of the security for the app so people on other networks can't steal it. It authenticates that you are on sprints network the first time you start the app. So after that you can use wifi because your device has been authenticated.
edit:I think I misunderstood you. You mean you turned off wifi and were on 3g, but never started the app again? Then when you did start the app again, you were on wifi, and it worked? That is strange.

Just unroot your phone. Shouldn't be that hard. On CM9 u can simply do it in your settings.

In addition to ordering the GN2s I got the missus and her mom the iPad mini.
It's really the short term solution for the Surface Pro - and my apology for losing her iPod Nano.
And for her mom - I'll cut her some slack. She's getting a GN2 next year and it's her first venture into newer technology
I got my gf's dad a bluray player and he flipped because he didn't have any blurays. It took me about a week to convince him its backwards compatible with dvds :facepalm:

I got my son a white E4GT for Christmas .. (No LTE coverage here so didn't go for S3 yet) and before it was even wrapped I had it rooted and flashed to JB
Bought my son a hobby helicopter. Took it out of the box the minute UPS delivered it and flew it around the house

Got me and my oldest son matchinf gTab 2 10.1s opened em up, rooted, put on aokp, and restored all his games and apps from tibu, charged and wrapped his. Couldnt put mine down so it never saw the box again after 5mins of being outside the store doors. I mean I had to make sure EVERYTHING worked and we'd like em right? At least that's what I told the ball and chain

Did the same last year when my brother got an old Evo 4G for Christmas. He didn't get to use it the first day until I was done installing CM7. Ditto for my other brother's iPhone. I'll be dammed if there's an iPhone in my house that's not jailbroken.
within 2 weeks of me learning about rooting and custom ROMs I rooted everyone's phones and tabs in the house and put the best rom i could find on them and made the default launcher Apex loll....now my siblings' friends at school want me to do it to their phones and i'm like $10 a pop! haha just kidding
