Hello,
I have some issue to connect my laptop to my netbook through BT. Windows does not find the driver for the phone.
I allready installed wdmc ans it works fine with the cable.
I am using the official wm6.5 rom and w7 x64.
I would be very happy if someone has the driver to share
Thank you
I am the only one experiencing this behaviour?
Has someone else successfuly connected its TP2 to a w7 computer with BT ?
Thank you,
well I have not tried this on windows 7 but on xp there was no need for a driver. I just paried my phone with the laptop then under services i picked the network data(something or other not sure what the name was). so have you paried with you computer via bluetooth yet?
I found the solution on the forum; the trick was to force W7 to use some driver present in WMDC.
Sadly I don't have the link to that thread anymore
Hey,
Whenever I try to pair my defy with my laptop(sony vaio vpccb15fg), windows 7 tries to install a driver "Bluetooth peripheral device driver" but is not able to find it and therefore the phone doesn't get paired and no file transfer takes place.
Does somebody know a solution for this?
I've searched and search and found nothing, so I need a little help with this one.
On my computer I run portable apps from a flash drive. I also like to connect my Android phone. The problem I have is that while either one works swell by itself, the computer fails to recognize one or the other when both are plugged in at the same time. Preference is always given to the device that is plugged in first.
As I'm always using my flash drive, it's a hassle to disconnect it just to plug in my phone. And it's even more irritating to know that I can't access my portable apps as long as my phone is connected. The best I can do so far is to plug the phone in and choose charge only which allows XP to see it as an Android ADB device. This assigns drive letters to the multiple drives android uses, but all drives are listed as being empty. I should also note that I do have a printer connected via USB but I never have any problems with it.
What I've tried to fix the problem:
-Utilize the USB ports in the rear of the computer - No Luck
-Manually assigning drive letters - No Luck
-Search for alternative driver for Flash Drive - No Luck
-Downloaded HTC SYNC for an alternative driver to my phone - No Luck
-Downloaded and "Unsuccessfully" attempted to install Android SDK USB driver. - I don't know if this would have solved the problem or not but the installation of SDK never seems to give me the driver the phone is looking for.
So I'm at a loss as to whether or not there is a fix to my problem. Any help would be appreciated!
Computer - XP SP3 / Pent 4
FlashDrive - 8Gig Corsair Voyager
Phone: Rooted HTC Incredible running Synergy RC1 ( I throw this in there just for an FYI but the problem was present on other ROMS I've tried so I'm not led to believe it's a Rom issue)
I'm not sure if this is a Phone issue, or a computer issue so I've cross posted this with the folks over at Tech Guy Support
MOD - Problem Solved please feel free to delete if you don't think it's useful to keep this around.
Problem was solved (Credit to Rockn over at Tech Guy Support). My PC is underpowered to run my USB devices. I plugged the phone into a Powered USB Hub and it works perfectly now.
Hi all,
I'm after a little help that I simply cannot find anywhere else... all other routes/searches have led me here so i'm afraid my first post is a question that hopefully someone here can help me with.
So... here goes...
I have a UK HTC Desire, running CM7.0.3.
I would like to connect it to my work laptop running Windows XP via the USB cable so that the laptop can use with the phones WiFi connection or the data connection.
The laptop has WiFi, but it's disabled via the bios and I don't have the password.
With the stock ROM, I connected the phone, put into tethering mode, installed a driver (googled off the www) and it all worked wonderfully.
With CM7 installed, the original drivers don't work and I cannot find anywhere new drivers that do.
I removed all drivers to start again on the laptop, so when i plug the phone in, the first it detects is the Android Phone and wants a driver for "My HTC". Everything I've thrown at it, windows says is incorrect
I installed the Android SDK, but my work proxy wont allow it to connect to their servers (it tries to do this automatically when searching for the usb drivers) for any drivers (which was one suggestion that Google informed me about).
I went to the HTC website to look for drivers, but they seem to have forgotten that they built the Desire completely (another fruitless Google search result).
Please can someone offer some suggestions on where I can get the drivers for USB tethering for the desire running CM7?
Much appreciated, thank you.

Same issues here. Tried the SDK Drivers too, didn't work.
Strange thing is, normal USB connection is ok with the old htc driver, the issues come up when tethering option is activated: it switches to another driver (Android Phone).
Try upgrading things...ur BIOS, ur Windows etc...
Hi did a search using 'Kies' and 'Bluetooth' and got no hits so here goes:
I can successfully pair my phone with the laptop and transfer files. When I try to connect to the phone using Bluetooth and Kies I get ...
"Device denied connection" and my successfull Bluetooth connection is removed from the Laptop and is no longer listed in Bluetooth devices.
