You need to give more info before someone can help you.
What is your software version no. ? It should say something like 1.xx.xxx.x, so what are the x nos ?
What is your baseband/radio ? You can check this in bootloader
This is what you need:
RUU_PRIMO_U_ICS_40A_HTC_Europe_1.56.401.2_Radio_20.66.30.0831U_3831.15.00.19_M_release_254696_signed.exe
According to the android-info.txt in it's ROM.zip, it's for:
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__A48
cidnum: HTC__304
cidnum: HTC__M27
cidnum: HTC__032

here :http://bit.ly/Kmj1F8
i have stock rom+recovery+kernel , root and S-OFF.
i'm on CID K18. unlocked version. but i didnt recieved the OTA update yet. i would like to get it as soon as possible, because i will not have time to deal with anything going wrong later this week, i need a working phone.
right now i have the time to test it.
can i grab the 2.22.1540.4 from here?
will it be compatible with my version?
thanks.
Change your cid to HTC__001 or HTC__044 or so...something which is for WWE or Europe and you should get it then !

*EDIT*
everything went fine, after the update i flashed TWRP recovery so i could ROOT the device, then i have went back to stock recovery that i took from the "FIRMWARE.ZIP" file located inside the OTA zip.
everything seems to work as it should.
Yea so it's sorted and mods can lock this thread
Dear all,
Because i wiped all my partitions i'm trying to use the RUU to install android again on my HTC One m8.
With the official RUU.exe I cant install it, it says wrong model ID, so i decide to download a zip file, in all the zip files the MID and CID are exactly the same as my HTC, but i dont know how to use them. If i use adb sideload, it gives me the error "Failed to write data 'protocol fault <no status>' *ed.zip* at 59%.
I'm trying to fix my phone about 6 full days, but no solution.
Please help me!
Thank you in advanced.

Are you S-Off. If those RUUs aren't signed, you won't be able to flash them.
Anyway, since your PC and phone are still working together, get into fastboot and enter the command fastboot getvar all and post the readout here. Make sure to delete your serial # and IMEI. Never post those on a public forum for your own security.

First of all, thank you for your response!
No, I'm S-On, isn't there a reason for this security?
I think i can't get my phone to S-off because I don't have a ROM installed...
My phone details are:

The RUU.exe's I used, are signed.
I cant see what my MID supposed to be because it are EXE files and i can't change them...
You just need to use this RUU

Make sure your bootloader is relocked, run the RUU and connect the phone when in bootloader and follow the instructions
FIXED!!
Thank you guys very much, both of you!!
That RUU works for me, how did you know that?
So people with the same issue as me, this RUU works!

How do we know ? That's why we asked for fastboot getvar all to get to know your device better

Cause the RUU I gave covers your CID (HTC__E11) and MID (0P6B10000)

Yes, but, where can you see it in the RUU file?
I keep this file in my "Holy stuff" folder.
I'm very happy right now!
Spending days to fix this, but i learned very much of it.
Thank you!
Well, your device is the unbranded EU model (same as mine) so that's that and the CIDs that RUU covers are:

How'd you lose meid? I've always thought when we see all zeros it's shot. I thought your meid was stored on an unwritable partition. Edit: <-- unwritable without a special tool.
What I'm saying is I think that phones done... Software won't fix that. I could be wrong though. Ive never done anything more than a SIM unlock when it comes to actually flashing phones over and all.
I mean if you had the right tools you may be able to rewrite meid but idk. I'm not sure xda will help with that kind of thing because it's so close to cloning.

All you're showing is the branded device info and that it's been written supercid so they could flash roms from other carriers. I'm not sure what you're asking here? Go to the red hboot thread and you can find the specific model with this info. The 'specially this' is just where someone changed the cid to 11111111 so that could flash roms from other carriers. A simple adb command reverses this and it has nothing to do with fixing the device at this point.
