is there something like this available for my arc
http://www.ebay.in/itm/iPhone-iPad-i...item3a6aaf01c8
or can anyone suggest a proper way to connect my phone with the projector
With regards
so there s no way for me to connect my phone with optoma pk101. Was keenly watching this forum for the best way. But now found out that there no way other than buying a hdmi to rca converter which is very costly and which will restrict the projector from a mobile to a stationary dumb one with a power source.

I really don't understand how there are so few comments on this thread...
I believe that this device is what xperia play owners are waiting for....
For me, one handicap of the xperia play is the lack of hdmi connection... With this, my xperia play becomes complete and gain two more years of lifetime.
How is the state of art of this xbounds?
Is there any release date?
It's going to be sold to general public?
Where to find it?
I want to spend my money now...
My xperia play would be gratefull...
seems like a gadget for the extremely lazy
and how long before u lose one of them?
Why would you lose it lol and for the extremely lazy!? What are you even talking about the best thing about the xbound is no cords and no lag I can not washout till is available
Sent from my R800a using XDA App
I really don't understand your point.
First, put one thing in your mind... Things are not to lose. Specially those you buy. If you are lazy enought, and if you try you can lose everything, like your xperia play.
Second, are we talking about the same thing? The gadget is not for extremely lazy. The gadget is for those who turn their xperia play to a pocket multimedia center.
I carry my xperia play to every where, to play games, listen music, see movies, navigate on web...
Wouldn't be wonderful to be on vacantions and connect xperia play to the hotel tv and see a movie that you kept on the xperia play?!
I think yes.

haha oops i got directed to the xbound which is like dog tags, that u put ur xperia play by and it just changes the settings, and u can have several of these dog tags eg one for work which turns up the sound, one for home that turns on wifi etc,and one by ur bed which turns the alarm on and puts phone in silent mode etc etc
sorry lol
Still those can be very useful if your a runner or a snowboarder or basically any sport because if you can keep it in ure pocket and just use those tags then you lower the chamce of breaking a very expensive phone those tags dont work on the play as far as I know but when they come out they better come in a pack of 10 for under 40 bucks or its a waste of money

If there was a perfect product to hook up a play to a tv i would be excited.

Hi All,
I receveid this information from Dreamchip, company responsible for the development of XBounds.
It seems that the dream of connecting XPeria Play to TV could be near...
"
Dear Joao,
sorry for the slow reply. xBounds is not available for end-users yet, as it is not
an app that can easily be installed on the phone.
We are talking to numerous cell phone makers and are confident that xBounds will
become available by Q3 this year.
We will let you know as soon the technology is available

They require NFC, which the PLAY does not have. It's hardware and cannot be implemented.

Not even close. Try putting a Wi-Fi router in a coin size shell.
The xBound hdmi does not use NFC why would it. I think people are getting 2 different products confused.
From the sound of their reply though I don't think we will see the hdmi accessory on the Xplay .

[Q] Samsung Allshare cast dongle - availability

Hi guys,
Does anyone know when the allshare cast dongle will be available to order ? The only info I could find is probably somewhere around late June according to this seller http://www.clove.co.uk/samsung-allshare-cast-dongle-samsung-galaxy-s3
I really can't wait to surf/play on my big tv screen I know that I can buy the mhl adapter but I'll probably wait for the dongle to be released.
Thanks in advance !
Samsung South Africa
I queried with Samsung South Africa an a local retailer which gave me an ETA of middle JULY.
Real pity since they had these demoed at the UK launch event middle May...
But Polaris Office 4 was also demoed on not yet available ANYWARE. Well the price we pay for being first.
At least the stock S3 is an amazing device. Perhaps they are stagerring the hardware to give them more time to get firmware "extra nice"..
Yep my local retailers think it'll come out mid July as well.. Can't wait. And agreed, this phone in stock configuration is awesome!

Has anyone bought from this site. http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wir...a=X&ei=Ikj6T83MJ-be2QXhi_z2Bg&ved=0CDcQgwgwAA
They have the WiFi dongle for preorder and $40 that's half the price as clove. If it's legitimate I am definitely getting one.
By the way I posted this in a similar thread. I thought they would benefit from this post as well.

Unfortunately, that's not the Allshare Cast dongle. That's the MHL adapter, which allows you to connect your S3 to a HDMI TV using a corded connection. (HDMI cable not included in the box).

Anyone know how much this is supposed to cost in UK, Europe, US or whatever? Cos I don't want to spend much on this so trying to decide whether to import if it's cheap enough.

I've been looking around and have seen it as low as $80 US dollars to over $100. All with shipping included. I just broke down and bought the mhl adapter tonight for $36.49. That should work for now tell the price comes down.

Teh difference is that that is a stick that'll allow the tv to gain wifi capability. It's pretty much a wifi card. So if you link up the tv to your home network you can stream from the phone to tv via the allshare app..

The allshare cast dongle uses wifi direct to stream your phones screen to an hdtv, letting you mirror your phone on the tv. The item you linked to plugs into a tv and lets it connect to your home network and access the internet.
thanks guys but I'm none the wiser. It does allshare and its cheaper than the allshare dongle. I just dont get what its limitations are. Are you SURE it can accept stream?

This is a WiFi adaptor for Samsung Smart TV’s, which allows the TV to access the internet and DLNA files via your wireless access point.
The AllShare Cast WiFi dongle connects to an HDMI port on your TV, any TV not just Samsung TV’s, and allows amongst other things, your SIII display to be mirrored on the TV.
MaNIaC
Just to be clear wifi direct is different from normal network sharing technologies like DLNA. Wifi direct lets you connect two devices without using an existing wireless network. So for example if I didn't have a wireless internet network setup I could still wireless stream to an HDTV using Wifi direct. In principle it works similarly to the way bluetooth does but allows for much higher bandwidth
The wifi direct supports all share. So in theory I can plug this into my 2009 samsung to stream movie and game content to my tv
Edit. Or not because it's not smart. Got it
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I hope someone comes up with a trickery/hack/mod so we can use the dongle to stream from a laptop as well if it's even possible.

Basically this in layman terms.
The GS3 has wifi built in which connects with the allsharecast dongle and the dongle displays the image of the GS3 onto the HDTV.
The dongle you posted just gives wifi to devices that do not have wifi built in. Since the GS3 already has wifi built in, that dongle does absolutely nothing for the GS3. but it does make your TV DNLA compatible since not all of the older TVs have DNLA standard but if your TV does have DNLA, then that dongle you posted is useless for BOTH the GS3 and your TV.
You can connect the GS3 with allshare cast enabled TVs but that just lets you display pictures and videos, it doesn't completely mirror your phone, and the entire UI on your phone, to the TV though.

Video output options

As most people have probably already heard, the "MHL" port on the SGS3 isn't compatible with existing MHL accessories or displays (so it isn't really an MHL port then is it). See this site for more on that.
Sammie has released some over-priced accessories for it, but buying those would reward and re-inforce this move (the only nasty thing the've done on an otherwise brilliant phone) and they would probably become landfill when you get your next phone. Besides, Sammie recently indicated that this port can do more, so I guess that means they will release a second round of video accessories for this phone, making the first round landfill even before you move on to your next phone.
So, if someone really needs video output for their SGS3, what are their options?
Samsung makes a wireless (Wi-Fi) streaming video dongle for the GSIII, but this too appears to be proprietary and possibly just for the GS3. It looks like there are standards coming for wireless streaming, but they aren't here yet (e.g. Miracast).
Are there other wireless video streaming devices that work with the SGS3?
Even better, though, has any other company created accessories that are compatible with the fake MHL port on the SGS3? The best would be something that worked with the SGS3 and with standards compliant MHL devices and displays (of which there are now > 100), but I don't know if that is possible.
Actually, for some users, something a bit different might work...
DLNA for example, which allows you to play content from your phone on any smart TV. It's not the same as 'video out' for your phone, but I think some poeple are just looking for a way to get media from their phone to their display. And DLNA is very widely supported standard now.
Also, these are low cost Android 4 devices in the form of an HDMI dongle - you plug them directly into your TV:
Infinitec Pocket TV
The Kogan Smart TV HDMI dongle
:meh: For $10 you can get the adapter from Samsung to use the old MHL adapters. The new adapter allows USB OTG, if I understand correctly, that is added functionality over what the old MHL offered. I don't think they changed just to make users buy new MHL adapters.

First problem is that would mean you need an adapter for an adapter, which is a cumbersome solution.
More importantly, I believe that what you are saying is not true: I have reviewed the info from Samsung so far and it appears to me that the new adapter adapter does not support any of the additional capabilities (USB org) that Samsung has recently suggested that the 11pin port is capable of.
That means that there will be new accessories soon to enable that capability, so you will have 3 accessories for that one port, just to do one thing.
No cheap and trustworthy ebay alternatives yet??

Get a HDMI android tv dongle.
Then install mirrorOp sender/receiver for screen mirroring.
Works fine enough but frame rate may not be fast enough for gaming mirroring.

It should be noted that this solution requires that your Android be rooted. Here's the product page for the Android version of mirrorOp.

Apparently that is an implementation of the Wi-Fi alliances Miracast standard, which sounds great, but for now (i.e. until Android ships with it) it requires root access.
I have bought a few products and have been successful at hooking my note 2 up to a tv with excellent results. I want to also hook up usb hub. I have had SO much bad luck even trying to find out a solution. It seems something is wrong here... oh I see now since I read all of galaxymhl.com. If there was any chance of me paying for the Samsung dock its NOT going to happen now. Dont ever mess with a standard!
I am ready to get out my solder gun and wire it myself...
I own this..
http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters...605012&sr=8-1&keywords=caBLE+MATTERS+HDMI+MHL
The micro usb is only for power only - NO DATA!!!
Also just bought this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008FRJORK/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The USB does not work with the phone! So sending it back today.
I need HDMI as well as DATA simultaneously. If I missed something I am sorry. It just seems people and products are not clear about this.
If there is a site on rewiring these cables it would be awesome. Does anyone have a solution???

Getting the wired USB-Xbox Controller to work

Hey guys,
I've been playing around with my new USB-Host adapter at the time but am not able to get my wired Xbox-controller to work..
When I plug it in the ring on it will blink, but it just doesn't get recognized in any game. GTA III doesn't work, Dead Trigger...just nothing.
I then downloaded the test-app of the Joystick Center app and it reconlgnized the controller. But I don't want to spend 5$ before I'm really sure that there is no other way to get it to work...because I read everywhere how ICS now should be capable of handling all this stuff^^
Maybe someone of you has a solution?
Thanks in advance,
Fabi
