Mango and Onenote on skydrive prob - Windows Phone 7 General

Hi all,
since the Mango update I can't connect/sync my Onenote Notebooks on Skydrive anymore. When I start the Officehub and move to notes it says "syncing" and then just the Officehub closes/crashes. Anyone else experience this probs and know a workaround? Is it possible to deinstall and freshly install the Officehub?
Thnks for any hints,
FB

Got it working. Just if someone runs into the same prob resetting Office under settings --> Office solved it.
Cheers,
FB

Help with Restoring contacts

Hi there,
I have upgraded from WM5 to WM6 and I am running windows vista with windows mobile device center.
After the upgrade it has recognised my phone as a new device and therefore I cannot resync my contacts etc to it.
Can anyone help me as I have loads of contacts that I really can't afford to lose...
Thanks in advance
Im running vista and WMDC as well but whenever i flash even when it detects it as a new device it still syncs my contacts and everything else.
Do you have Outlook installed? Without outlook i believe it won't save any contact or calender info i may be wrong though...
yep have outlook 2007 installed
It isn't configured though - can anyone confirm if the above is true and whether it would need to be configured?

Yes. It will resync your Outlook contacts. Just make the new partnership and voila! I have deleted and repartnered my device many many times. Ever so often I backup my Outlook contacts to a CSV or XLS file.
My suggestion to you is open Outlook and export your contacts to a CSV or XLS file.
Then make your partnership!

Support Code: 8503001f error, how to resolve please or week will be in ruins.

hi everyone,
i've got this error now which says "Cannot synchronize with Outlook profile you are using, because a different profile was previously set up or the profile is password-protected
Please open Outlook using the appropriate profile."
please please please how do i solve this i've not been able to sink my contacts, calender and notes back in and its going to destroy my week if i dont resolve this problem.
thanks so much in advance,
jason
Well, sync errors like this typically occur at one of 2 places. EITHER the connection between Outlook/Exchange and ActiveSync OR between ActiveSync and your Device.
What have your tried so far? Simply removing the device from ActiveSync on the main computer solves this error most often. The other deeper, yet common fix is to uninstall BOTH Outlook and ActiveSync, then reboot and re-install and recreate the device profile with ActiveSync.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for your reply Nate,
I've tried removing the partnership from activesync and deleting active sync from my computer and restarting. But that does not cure the problem
If i completly uninstall office and activesync. Will my contacts be there when i reinstall? Also, this is rather stupid, but if i uninstall office, my documents will still be on my harddrive right?
thanks in advance.
Jason
i'm willing to uninstall office, please can someone tell me how to backup my contacts, calender and notes.
or will this remain on my computer and once i reinstall office it will go back in.
stab in the dark .....
have you actually fully reset your device and also turned your pc off and restarted it fully....???
i have similar problems using outlook, but always find a reset of either of both devices cures the problem.....
yes i have done that.
its now a outlook problem isnt it?
how do i delete profiles from outlook 2007? maybe that will solve it.
please anyone, feel free to give me ideas on how to solve this
Correct, it seems like an Outlook issue now. My experience with Outlook 2007 is limited so I'm not sure if it follows the rules of previous versions, but in the past ALL of your outlook information is stored in 1 file with a file extension of .pst. Run a search on your PC for a *.pst file and tell us what it finds. Assuming that you find one then O2007 follows the same conventions as earlier versions. If you find multiple, then save them all. Bear in mind that the actual email account settings are kept separately from the .pst file and you will have to either export/import them or just recreate the email account after reinstall.
Uninstall Outlook/Office and then REBOOT! Then Re-install.Go into outlook 1st and go through the initial email account setup, then run a search for .pst files again and drop the most current down over top of the one newly created with the re-install.
Let us know how it goes and remember to go slow.
If you google for the error code 8503001f and also the other one you posted about, 85010014, they both point to errors within microsoft outlook itself - one possibility is due to upgrading outlook and having/creating multiple profiles.
There are too many links to post but I saw a few which appeared to include good solutions - some of these are direct from the microsoft support site.
Don't know if this helps but I found thousands of hits with what appears to be your problem.

hehehe, Good point... Google is your friend
For Profiles in Outlook 2007:
Control Panel > Mail > Profiles
BACK UP YOUR MAIL!!
File > Import / Export.
Export as file
PST
Save it.
Now delete all profiles in Control Panel > Mail > Profiles
Then just create one profile and call it outlook
Then restore your data.
thanks so much for the reply guys.
i dont know what the hell is up with outlook but after uninstalling active sync and removing my email account from outlook it syncing again.
very fustrating and thanks you guys again for your input. its great to know people like you guys are here to help.
cheers again
jason
p.s. i think its because i upgraded from office 2003 to 2007 that cause so many conflicts.

Problem with Vista and WM 6.1 Syncing?

Is there a deep-seated problem with syncing WM 6.1 with Vista's WMDC?
I have tried just about every WM 6.1 ROM produced by the excellent chefs here. On every occasion, my Hermes syncs perfectly on the first setup. However, every time I reconnect, the sync fails, with a message that there is a problem with the desktop PC. Deleting the partnership solves it for one sync, then it fails on subsequent ones. So, every time, I re-flash back to my trusty WM6 ROM and, voila, syncing returns to normal.
This occurs with every 6.1 ROM I have tried. It happens with my desktop and my laptop, both running Vista. I have checked that I have the latest version of WMDC. I have ensured that I have unticked "Enable advanced network functionality' in the USB-to-PC option.
I need to sync my Hermes every day, so this problem stops me using any of the 6.1 ROMs. Am I the only one with this problem? Has anyone had the problem and solved it?

Yes, both desktop and laptop are using that version of WMDC.
I have that constantly as well with every 6.1 ROM i've used.
My "workaround" is to turn off the calendar sync, allow the other items to sync, then turn calendar sync back on and re-sync
Then that PC will sync properly until I try to sync to another PC and I have to turn off calendar, etc... again
I've using WM 6.1 ROMs with Vista for some time now and have never had that problem. The only difference is that I leave the enable advance network..blah..blah checked. Try it.

Thanks very much for your response. I am heartened to hear that someone else is experiencing the same problem, and it is not just me.
I will try the calendar sync work-around.
Blackout128. Thanks for your reponse as well, but I have tried it with that box ticked and unticked. From Radimus above, it could be a calendar issue. Do you sync with Outlook Calendar?
Yes, I sync the calendar. I guess it was kind of stupid to suggest something that simple. I hope the calendar issues works, who knows with vista, I may have that problem tomorrow.

My final question, and this is the killer question - Are you using Outlook 2003 or 2007?
I use Outlook 2007, and my suspicion is that there could be a problem syncing with that version. Those who use Outlook 2003 might not experience it.
If you say you use Outlook 2003, great, perhaps I have got to the root of the problem.
If you say you use Outlook 2007, I will pack my bags and go!

I have no problem slashing and syncing using Outlook 2002.
Having read Radimus' workaround, I re-installed a WM 6.1 ROM. Once again, I experienced sync problems. But, as soon as I removed Calendar from the sync items, everything worked well.
Is there anyone out there able to sync calendar items between a WM 6.1 Hermes and an Outlook 2007 PC?
I am running Outlook 2007. Here is my Outlook Info.

Photo Contacts, Calendar Not Sync [Outlook 2007 - Activesync 4.5]

I have been browsing the forum to try to solve my problem but was unable to find any solution.
Softwares:
Windows XP SP3
MS Office 2007 SP1 - Outlook 2007
Activesync 4.5
ROM:20940_Manila2D_SkyFire
Phone: Dopod 838 Pro
My Problems:-
Contcts in outlook not completely sync, especially those with photos and notes.
Calender also having the same problem, not all are sync, only those contact which have been sync, their birthday are in.
Have tried:
1. Uninstalled and reinstalled activesync - still can't solve the problem
2. Uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2007 and update to SP1 - problems still there.
3. Backup the contacts. Delete all contacts in outllook and pasted back - Still not solve.
4. Reflashed the ROM, Uninstalled and reinstalled both Office 2007 (and update to SP1) and sctivesync - Still..... some contacts and appointments are missing
5. I have tried many ways... including deleting partnership, resetting.. and still can't solved the problem!
Can anyone let me know what is the problem and how to solve it?
Thank you.
LOL Digi sucks.
Activesync seems to **** itself when a single contact is too large and refuses to sync the contact back to the PC...
It seems to be a known fault with ActiveSync, but I have never found a solution. If you remove the picture, the contact will sync normally.
Problem solved!
What I did was format my PC and reinstall everything including office 2007, after that, I runs smoothly, I think is the registry that caused the problem.
Hate to format every thing, hopr that someone will find a easier way to solved this!

MKoving From Nokia PC Suite to Windows Mobile Device Center

Hey guys,
I recently got my new HD migrating from my old N95 but I'm having some problems with the whole syncing bit. All my content (contacts, calender and e-mails) are in Outlook 2007, my N95 had no problems syncing back and forth between my laptop and itself. However I can't seem to get ActiveSync on my HD and Windows Mobile Device Center to sync, it just says the server is not responding even though it's just over USB. The same problem occurs using bluetooth. Does anyone have any ideas or a fix, the laptop sees the device but wouldn't transfer even my contacts to the phone.
Thanks in advance
EDIT: Can a mod please rename the notice as there is a typo.
For anyone interested, ESet was blocking it >.<. I had to disable my firewall to get it to work. Anyone know a way round this?
Also my contacts are Surname, Forname how can I change this round for over 90 contacts?
