I don't think you can just install it. There are a few things different between the phones.
In regards to go back to stock, my suggestion is to do a Nandroid backup of your phone now, while is stock. You can change the name of the backup to Stock or something you'll remember. Then you'll always have a stock backup in case a rom or theme goes bad. Just boot into recovery, backup/restore and select your stock backup and you're back to square one. In fact, it's always advisable to do a backup just before you flash anything major. Get into the habit and you'll never (almost ) be stuck with no way out.

1. The zip as is works on our phones (I played guinea pig and put it on my phone) Be aware it puts TW Launcher BACK on your phone (if you took it off) AND changes several apps. So have fun. It's a VERY nice theme... It won't change signal meters... FYI
2. I have already posted the stock theme here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1279964 . So yes.

If your rooted flash a de odexed rom with cwm. No need for a kernel change
Sent from my Emotionless Beast of an Epic using the XDA App
lol just install a custom and you'll be good to go... i thought it was going to be hard but i popped my custom rom cherry yesterday with no problems. just make sure you do a back up first.
Just a little note I would point out for the OP:
IF your serious about not wanting to change your kernel for whatever reason, make sure the de-odexed ROM you decide to flash doesn't include a Kernel change as well. Most of them do. The best one that doesn't would probably be Epic Experience right now.
Best of luck, and don't worry, fllashing and the likes isn't that hard.
If you want to bypass flashing a rom to be able to flash a theme, then you can use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=814789. It's a stock di18 theme template which deodexes your phone when flashed. You will be running the stock ROM that came with your phone, it will just make it to where you can theme it stock. Flash the file, then when it reboots, get back in CWM and flash the theme right on top.
I wound up flashing kernal...I was afraid it might mess up my data settings..I'm runnin an epic on vzw...no problems...actually gained a lil speed on the data with the new kernal!
Is there a way to get the Sprint ID as an APK or flashable? I'm on Bonsai 4, and don't want to go back to DI18 stock just to get the update, but I'd like to at least take a look at Sprint ID before I decide it's junk.
There's a configurable flashable found here. Sprint ID is W_Installer.apk
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=987777
Once its intalled though you're probably going to have to reflash to get rid of it.

You can pull Launcher2.apk and W_Installer.apk from the update.zip. Not sure if you can install them like regular apks but you can copy them to /system/apps/
Edit: You don't need W_Installer.apk, which is the tutorial widgets. I thought it might cause a problem if you didn't have it but I have confirmed that you can remove it.

Thanks for the info, that was quick!
I'll do a nandroid backup first. And if restoring that doesn't work I'll reflash the ROM. Just didn't feel like odin-ing back to November.

IT IS JUNK...trust me.
The wifi isnt working on the mind trick rom, so I git annoyed, now I want to go back to complete stock ICS, even unroot the phone, and start all over.
Could anyone please guide me to getting back to bone stock?
Use this guide.

This one shows how to get back to gb...You just need the ics stock md5. Basically, open odin have your battery out of the phone when opening odin (phone unplugged of course), put phone into d/l mode, find pda file you want to use, hit start. That's basically it.

Kies not connecting after upgrading to Jedi Mind Trick
I'm new at rooting, and custom roms, but I finally installed my first custom rom. I installed Jedi Mind Trick, and it works really great! The only main problem I'm having is that I can't connect to Kies, its giving me an error: "This device is not supported by Kies 2.0". Also apps tend to crash sometimes, but that's not a major issue. I really want Kies to connect so I can restore my notes, and msgs. I was also wondering is there a way to backup all the folders on the Home screen. Thanks in advance!

You are no longer on a stock rom, KIES is no longer your friend, nor will you be able to use kies until you go back to stock. The best idea would be to return to stock, move all info back to the phone that you need, re-root the device (stock root initially), use TB or RomToolbox (i prefer the latter personally but it's up to you). Then reflash back to JMT and restore said apps that you created a back up with.
I'm sure there is an easier way, but I truly can't think of that answer right now, and being new to rooting, you might as well get the practice with odin and your recovery now, because once you start it's worse then crack or meth, or something addicting lol

Back up twlauncher. That should hold all your custom settings. Although I'm not sure how it will respond on jmt

I usually use Rom toolbox, or titanium backup in your case, to back up my messages before I root, then you can just restore them when you flash a new rom.

Did you try reformatting and wiping the cache, fix permissions, etc. a second time and reinstall jedi-mindtrick? Just curious because I haven't had any problems with it and its a sweet rom IMO
Yes that's what I had to do

I'm coming from an Amaze which currently isn't supported by CM and have a quick question.
With the Amaze, to get CM, you had to be on ICS or the ICS Leak. Once you had flashed, if you wanted to go back, there was a huge process to do so.
With this phone, if I'm on stock root, can I make a CWM backup, flash CM9, check it out, then simply restore my CWM backup and go back to business as usual? I know this is how it normally works, but like I said, the Amaze was weird.
Yes, you should be just fine doing it that way.
Anyone else feel like confirming? I don't want to flash CM, fool around with it for an hour, want to go back to my other setup and find out it's some crazy long process.
Going from CM9 back to stock root via Nandroid will work just fine?

You're very welcome
I have an d2att and i deleted my backup of touchwiz that originally came on the phone when i got it. Simply put I need it back. how/where would I get the download and install stock touchwiz back onto my gs3? I do NOT want a rom. I want the original OS.
Then all you would've needed to do was look in the development forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1968625
P.S- Just so you know. Stock touchwhiz is a ROM. When you buy your phone from the store, it comes with a ROM. Otherwise it wouldn't work.

All you have to do is download any stock rom go to system/app dir and snag the touchwiz app. Not hard. Change permissions and install.
