Hi All,
I can see no one actually reported this on Desire forum, so I'll ask.
As some of you might be aware Endomondo application has problems with CM7 based ROMs, where it simply restarts the phone.
Due to that fact, I have changed the ROM to LeeDroid to make it work, which it does.
Can anyone of you confirm if the latest Gingervillain ROM 3.1 fixes this issue and if Endomondo works for you on it?
I would post it in Development thread, but am not allowed, due to lack of posts.
Does it work on other gb roms now? Is it just cm it doesn't work on?

I haven't tried on any others than the two I quoted, and it works perfectly on LeeDroid 3.3.3, but I prefer the speed of Gingervillain ROM
Thanks, didn't know which Lee droid you meant

Yup, this is the one I am running now: LeeDrOiD HD V3.3.3-Port-R5 |11th August| Ginger Sense 2.1 | FAST | STABLE | WWE
Anyone guys?
Did anyone try Endomondo on new Gingervillain 3.1?
Guys, can anyone ask on my behalf in this thread please?
Gingervillain thread link
I am not allowed to post there yet, as I do not have 10 or more posts in general, and don't want to spam the forums to get there with pointless posts
Can you link the above thread to my thread please?
For future generations, Endemondo problem seems to be fixed and I am using Gingervillain mod 3.1 now!

Hey guys,
I'm using stock froyo 2.2 for my htc desire and that's why I'm facing low memory issue. I would like to know which rom will provide me with apps2sd feature so that I wont face any issue of low memory and also which rom is the closest to stock froyo as I know of roms that are featured pack till the simple application are not working.
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

Read the ROM threads, best ROM is open to debate as what one person might love another may hate...it's completely subjective
Yeah I understand, but is there one that is close to the stock froyo 2.2? I do not need it to be fast, I only need it to be stable.
Search 'rooted 2.10.405.2' as there are some already on here...
You mean this rom is just rooted and Apps2sd for 2.2 stock desire?
I am using MoDaCo at the moment it's about as close to stock as you can get, but rooted and with an option for A2SD. They have a online kitchen as well so you can customize what you want installed in your ROM.
So how is it so far in terms of performance for you?

use LeeDroid and be happy. You'll get a lot of help in the LeeDroid thread at XDA, too. It's Sense with a lot of improvements.
LeeDroid? Saw from the thread there are quite a number of issues with the rom.

what issues? most of them are user related who don't know how to use a custom rom.
Like force closes of certain applications all these..

Especially for the CoreDroid HD GB 2.3.3 V5.1

I think mike, the maker of Android Revolution HD, had something on his thread regarding a custom kernel in the making. But I believe that will be for his rom ARHD 4.0.
Im also running coredroid v5.1 and im using the newest radio, 26.08.04.07_m3 and it seems to be pretty good. I think you should give it a shot, and you can always switch back if it does not work out.
We need the source files for the kernel from HTC before any custom kernels can be made. The source files will be released some time after the official gingerbread updates have been released.
Edit: You might also want to try the search function before you start a new thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025335

Okej I will try it out & see how it works out..
But is there anyone who knowes where it comes from???
In the radio thread it say that it´s not fully tested and so on...
have U hade any problems with it??
Until HTC release their official Gingerbread OTA, i do not think there will be any custom'ed GB Kernels yet but now we just have a "prototype" one. As usual.. we have to wait. Im not sure about myself too.. would prefer to receive some comments too. =)

MIUI isnt that fast these days..
Try SGBS rom (v1.7) have sense and is very fast and stable.

Better wait for the official 2.3. I am using Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 Stable, but there is issue with call delay and mobile data connection problem. Now I am waiting for 2.3 official
I am running Insertcoin from around last 2 months and frankly speaking i never had any issues with the ROM. U can give it a try. U can get the rom from my signature.
Note: I never use HD recording or Playback on mobile, so i have never tested these functionality.
Yes, InsertCoin stable 1.0.8 seems to be bug free.
I used it also since about 2 months.
RCMix S v. 2.0.1 snm.
Try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113070&highlight=Recent+Apps easy to install.
For me AcesMod007 v24
Tried all roms but this one stands to be most stable and fast...
Leedroid is good too but battery hog.
Insertcoin is not bad but slow compared to acemod007.

From my personal experience I can highly recommend oxygen. It's a very clean and stable rom and I get a great battery life. Before using oxygen I tried leedroid, rcmix s, miui and redux. They are all nice and fast, but I really like the cleanness of oxygen and redux. I would have stayed with redux, but the developer did not have any time for further development for nearly two months, so I changed to oxygen. But I cannot see a big difference between redux and oxygen.
Ive tried loads, but an issue that kept recurring was depletion of internal memory. Therefore for the desire in my opinion the best roms are ones that allow data2ext or data2we which tricks your phone into thinking it has the internal memory limit you choose. I like gingerburst, a sense Rom since the whole thing is easy to set up and is stable. Just Google it and follow the instructions on the site
Cyanogen 7.0.3 works with the data2we. zip. If you don't like HTC sense, and is my close second Fave Rom

Rcmix 2.0, the cm7 variant
I'm running Leedroid 3.0.8.2 a2sd+ and loving it. No bugs found yet...

Hey Guys,
I'm thinking of switching ROMs, Currently running RcMix S - Just wondering which is the best sense 3.0/3.5 ROM which works with minimum bugs and is smooth/fluid !
Apart from that I'm just wondering if it they are fine for a everyday ROM yet?
I'm seriously thinking of Aurora v3 as the video on the post does show it is quite smooth.
Other information :
Desire running Stock HBOOT, 8GB memory card with a EXT4 partition.
Thanks a lot guys
There are so many topics about this, you can check that out, many recommendation... for everyday I won't recommend any 3.5 ROM
Really you should just read the relevant threads in the dev section. Coolexe, MichaelM and Chaqmol have all recently released newer Sense ROM's.
All have their bugs and issues but you'll never find out unless you do your research. There's no quick answer.
People will say "use Aurora" or "use Cool3D AceS v4" but all have issues in one way or another.

I searched the forum before making a new topic but wasn't able to find anything.
I did read, got a bit confused I mean come on look at the amount of roms there lol,
I wanted to know what the general user thought about it - I understand that there are bugs but till what extent is it usable as a daily ROM and how many actually what exactly is their experience.

I'll be sure to check that out , thanks
You can find coolex new roms on cooldevs dot com he doesn't updated his post and it's hard to find the new rom.
for 3.0/3.5 I'd say Cool3D AceS 3.0
I tried Runnymede 3.5 from Coolexe but it was a bit sluggish - needs a few more versions I think before its as good as AceS
For Sense 3 Rom I would say Cool3D AceS v4 is one of those you can try. But you will have to get it in www.cooldevs.com as he has not updated his post.

Bang on! had cool3D sense before but the aurora V3 is TASTY!....Just seen V4 is out
Right now i'm using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1299554 v2 and it's smooth
I'm using michealm's AceSmod007 3d, it's fast and stable. The original kernel may be abit slow, can try gingercakes 8.0b cfs no2way or 0.6d. Some say snq kernel is smoothest but I have yet to try that. I saw the aurora video, AceSmod007 3d is much smoother than that
Try Aurora, is really fast n stable...
Aurora v4 is the best one out now.

I very highly recommend using the Android Revolution HD ROMs. I will never go back to a different ROM after using the ARHD ROMs, they're so smooth and fast I was shocked. Check out the thread and choose the best one for you.
