Said it was for bugs and stability fix. Anyone get it? My tab just prompted me about it.

Anywhere I can find the list of changes/bug fixes that will be addressed in the next ICS update, or is Google keeping this confidential?
I've read that the USB OTG issue will be fixed (french devs on twitter), besides that I haven't heard any confirmations.
After extensive research via Google hunting (we all know how reiiable the internents can be), I found that while I am not the only one who appears to have Lumiread missing from my A100, there also doesn't appear to be any fixes from Acer. The closest I have come to finding a solution is from a couple of threads, here, on Xda. But... these seems to be the programs meant for the a500 only(?). I have tried a couple different ways to install the program, and while I did get the installation to go through, the app force closes immediately upon loading.
I can provide any more info if need be. I have my a100 rooted and am using Crossix's custom build.prop (which seems to be working nicely. However did not change my tab from a Gen2 to Gen1. Also thank you to crossix for the relatively painless root process).
Any info on this lumiread matter is greatly appreciated. I figure if anyone knows anything, it will be here. Thanks in advance.
The reason why lumiread fc´s on start is probably due to missing entries in the framework for acer´s rom. To get lumiread built in, you just need to upgrade to one of the GEN1 roms found in the dev section.
Thanks a lot man. You are all over this forum. Keep cranking out updates.
Hey everyone! For the past long while, my galaxy has randomly been having huge lag spikes. Symptoms would be apps crashing, keyboard taking forever to respond, general extreme lag. And the battery would heat up way too much. I did a bunch of looking into the cpu processes, and at the top of the list would be some kworker application or the google search bar on the google now launcher. I have no idea how to fix the issue, and have tried multiple different roms but the problem still exists.
I am currently running a nightly version of carbon. I do have xposed installed if that changes anything. My phone is only 2 years old, and was running smoothly until now. Im worried it could be a hardware issue.
I could really use some help as i use this phone for notes and work in my courses, and any downtime is really bad for me. Ill provide any information necessary. Thank you so much for anyone who can help.

Well I'd say software for the simple fact it is a nightly version of a ROM. I'd suggest waiting for a stable build or getting a more stable overall ROM. I doubt it would be hardware issue, could be just some error in the code of that particular nightly.
Best of luck

Please can you install BetterBatteryStats app and post me a text log ? There's a thread to the app here on XDA. That will tell you how to get a log.
Do please freeze Google Now and replace your launcher. Also turn off Location Service for now.
Hi everyone.
First things first. Allow me to provide you with some details:
Model: Samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition wifi (sm-p600)
Firmware: Android 5.1.1 Samsung's official/stock
Root: Yes
Recovery: TWRP 2.8.7.0
note: If there needs to be further details, let me know.
Problem:
One of the reasons i've bought this tablet was simply because of the S pen features and its ability to take notes in an advanced way comparing to the classical pen 'n' parer. With the new version of the S note app (3 and above) i noticed a major difference. The complete removal of productivity tools. Of course we can still converte text, shapes and forumals but not the exact same moment as we used to write down the notes. Now all of that must be first selected except for the text.
It really costs extra time and that's something cannot be afforded. It's a gigantic problem to me as i am not able to take notes while attending a math course since i can't convert formulas, equations and shapes instantly. App's old users will understand what i mean. Hence i decided to start this thread hoping someone will come to aid me. If there's someone out there facing the same problem as i do; please do join me.
What do i expect out of this? A solution, like being able to have installed both S note v.2 and S note v.4 apps in the device (in stock firmware not a custom one) or maybe replacing the new one by the old one. Perhaps something else that it is out of my league, something that i can't think of. Also i manage to find something similar to another thread. Actually it contains the S note v.2 in a zip package. But it messed my device instead when i flashed it.
Here's the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542065
I am really sorry, i've just noticed that this section it's not for support!!! Is there a way to move the thread to the right section? Sorry for the trouble i might have cause to the personel of the forum. :crying:
Hi! I've just received the Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 and I'm still pondering whether or not to install it. Since the good stuff this upgrade brings has already been published and debated, I came up with a list of questions about things that may go wrong.
1. How much free RAM does it usually have when not actively using any application? Has the upgrade diminished the free RAM significantly?
2. Is there significant lag in any application? How long does it take for the camera app to fully load?
3. Is Knox alright? Any problems with Secure Folder?
4. Are there any problems with the fingerprint scanner?
5. Are there any problems with Wi-Fi / NFC / Bluetooth?
6. Is there any battery drain?

Hi man.
I dont know if you already updated, but just do it.
There are no problems to be had, not with Knox, not with the hardware itself, not with any connections.
And there is no battery drain.
And RAM is no problem, the phone multitasks as a beast, and keeps apps open for ages.
And also, there is no lag to be had, and the camera app opens in about 2.5 seconds.
You're welcome
Mike

Thanks for the information about the camera and Knox. How long ago have you installed the update?

Oh, I installed it like one or two weeks ago, a couple of days after the update came for Russia. I flashed it via Odin. It was really nice, it even feels a little tiny bit faster for me. So I really love the update.
The fingerprint scanner works much quicker after the upgrade
Bluetooth will not pair with Garmin 735xt or Forerunner 935 after the upgrade
These are the only differences the upgrade makes to my user experience, I'd like to sort the bluetooth issue or I'll downgrade to 6.0 again.
