I ordered from thecellguru.com for my Epic and was very pleased with the transaction. I bought (for the Epic) 2 batteries, a cradle charger, and the car dock from them and the prices were about half off compared to samsung's website.
I just noticed they are showing the Samsung OEM (cross referenced the numbers and they appear to check out) battery on their site for about half off. Looks like as of this writing, they are shipping in 2 days. I put 2 on order and will try to update this thread with my results. Shipping was only 1.99 4 to 6 day shipping.

I was looking at that as well but when you go to the AceSoft web site, they don't show any 1840mAh batteries listed. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on one of these. It says that the charger that comes with it can charge the oem battery as well. Should be here this weekend.

I just received my batteries. They are the OEM Samsung batteries, 1800mAh, same exact battery as what came in the phone. I won't bother taking pictures since blackhand901 already posted some, and if you notice, in the picture it shows "thecellguru.com" receipt above the image. Not sure what that's all about if he ordered from mobilecity.
So, I'm confirming thecellguru.com truly has the OEM battery and is selling it for $18.92 or roughly half of what it is at samsung.com. The link directly to the battery is below. Be careful if you go hunting through that website for the battery. For some reason, they still have the 1500 mAh Epic 4g battery listed under our phone.
Here's the link:

I bought a couple like this last year for my TP2. The charger worked fine, but the batteries never really quite fit like they were supposed to. They would work, but I was to worried about what would happen when the batteries heated up and expanded. I thought they might damage the phone. The charger looks identical to the one I have for the TP2.
If you get it let us know what you find!
Ooppss. Yes I did order from the cell guru. Sorry. Above fixed.

This is what I've been lookin for but I haven't found anything besides the one on the Samsung website
I bought some cheap ebay batteries that came with a charger for my evo, it charged at 350mah and worked great, that its whatI would like to find for this phone. GenerallyI can make it a full day on a charge, so if I needed to swap batteries, I dogleg only be charging at night so recharge time really wouldn't mater

I've just been using my Samsung Epic 4G Cradle Charger to charge the batteries for the Epic Touch that I was talking about earlier. It charges the batteries fully and seems to charge just as fast as the 1500mAh Epic batteries. The ONLY drawback, and it is very minor, is that the lid for the cradle charger won't completely close over the battery. And by not completely closed, it only lacks about 1/16 of an inch from closing all the way. And, when I purchased the phone from the Sprint store, the sales manager said using this cradle charger would be fine.
So, I've now got 7 batteries total, 4 1500mAh from the Epic, and 3 1800mAh for the Epic Touch. They all fit, and all are charged with the Epic cradle charger. Yes, the 1500mAh Epic batteries are definitely a snug fit in the Epic Touch, but I've seen no major drawback other than slightly less battery life from them compared to the 1800mAh. No, I haven't had the need to go back and use the Epic 1500mAh batteries since I've received the 2 extra Epic Touch 1800mAh batteries. But, in case I'm in a pinch and away from a charger, I can always fall back on the 1500mAh batteries.

Okay guys, there's a thread here about how the Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch battery might fit the Vibrant with no need for a new back cover. The rumor is true. I have two of these batteries, and have verified that mine are legit, and they fit perfectly. My phone actually has never lasted so long on a single charge since I switched to CM7.1, and I won't be going back to any battery of less capacity for as long as I own my Vibrant!
Here is the official page for the battery from Samsung
Here is the website I purchased from.
NOTE: I have removed the note about my batteries being fakes because after some research I have determined that Samsung actually has no idea what a serial number is, and is actually putting batch numbers on their batteries, so having the same number isn't a bad sign.
Here is the official page for the Extra Battery plus Charger from Samsung
Here is a website that seems to have the battery charger combo in stock and is selling it for $10 cheaper than Samsung MSRP. I DON'T vouch for them yet, because I haven't purchased from them ever.
Enjoy!
Dam, I wish it wasn't backordered on that website you ordered from. Im not gonna be ordering the one with the charger well since I don't need a charger and I'd rather spend that money on other things as I have wasted soo much on this phone already. I wonder when are thy gonna have more of just the battery in stock. A little better battery life on my galaxy s 4g would be great.

Good rule of thumb, Shaolin. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
Also, that battery won't fit in our phones. It's for the other models of the Galaxy S, not the Epic 4G Touch.

I only saw the 2430mAh one, and this sounds a little too good to be true. I guess if it at least gets 1900mAh it could be worth it. I am getting close to 24hrs from the Epic Touch battery now, though, and I have 2 of them, and a wall charger, so I am never worried about running out of juice anymore.

Fake or no fake. I am getting way better battery life from mine. Ill take fakes like this all day long!
I heard back from mobilecityonline.com and they said to call Samsung about the sn, but they only sold genuine OEM batteries. I still haven't had a chance to dig deeper, but I agree, the better life is worth the $20 all day long even if it is a fake.

Are you using Norton Utilities to determine battery capacity? It doesn't matter how big or small your battery is, Norton will always say 1500.

I ordered this... http://www.ebay.com/itm/170731777597?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Its a 3 battery + solo battery charger combo, cost $15 no tax.. no shipping. Took about 2 weeks to get and every battery works flawlessly.
They all come with 66%charge. The charger even charges my stock battery. All batteries have a cut off switch built in like the original that doesn't allow overcharging. The charger has a led that is red when charging and blue when charged. I have not noticed any difference in battery life when I switch to another battery. At night I can charge one in my phone and one in my new charger. I take two with me and just leave em In my car or my e5 easy case. Never run out of battery, don't have to be plugged in constantly, I use my phone heavily and some days I need 3 full charges. Even if i use 3 batteries in one day, by the time i finish the 3rd the first is charged. I only ever have to charge 2 at night when I'm asleep. The next day I wake up with 4 fully charged (3 spare + 1 original) but iv never used all 4 in one day.
I have tried everything I can to get the batteries to fail, overclocking @ 1700 using them from 100%-0% without stop and even overclocking while plugged in. I cannot get the battery to fail.
Ill keep you updated if anything changes (I know even with the review some are skeptical) but for 2 weeks of heavy use, I use my note allll day Im a stay at home father/student, none of the batteries have failed.
I hope this was helpfull.

That's brutal! You ought to make a thread and warn people so we don't make the same mistake bro. This is what it's all about. Hope these batteries work as good for you as they did for me.
I have this set.
The batteries definitely work and they don't 'fail' but they are without question far worse than the stock samsung battery. I'm okay with that, considering how cheap they are.
- Frank
these batteries are not secure enough to be bought - the worst thing that could happen is they might explode. They are not cheap for nothing!! I've read a couple of articles about counterfeit battery catching fire/exploding and in my opinion, it's preferable to add some more cash and buy a genuine battery, than those fake ones. Better be safe than sorry...Just my 2cents...
Don't know about you...
But I would never joke with battery

I got the same batteries as OP and they work, but definitely don't have the same capacity as OEM. I'd guesstimate 60%-70% capacity. The cheapo white ones on Ebay are a little better than the blacks, but still definitely reduced capacity compared to OEM. Regardless, it's a great deal for the price.
i bought similar batteries for my SGS2 and they worked great
i already ordered a similar combo (3 Batteries + 1 charger) for my note
waiting for it to arrive
It was pretty fast shipping. for 10bux, Its pretty good deal however you look at it.
Got the 3batteries and charger deal as well. No problems. My only complaint is the universal charger that came with it. It takes FOREVER to charge the batteries. I charged them faster just switching them in the phone. I'm sure there are better wall chargers out there though.

Not a good sign for Apple's famed quality if the stock battery died in 1,5 years (assuming she got her IPhone on release). After more than two years the battery in my good old i8910 is still running about 2-3 days with moderate usage.

I wouldn't be so sure. I'd bet $8 my OEM 2.1Ah battery will hold a longer charge in 3 months than this thing will. That's assuming it doesn't explode in a horrific pants accident that leaves you scarred and unable to have children before then.
I just ordered two. There was a 5% off the entire order promo code on the site and I used the free shipping one too. $26 for two. I will need extra battery life for some things I have coming up so even if they last as long as the 2150mAh I have now it will get me through the day.

I agree with the post that you replied to. He didn't state the facts and science because maybe he doesn't know them, but hey, I do I used to be a battery pack designer for a components distributorship and worked directly with Panasonic, Sanyo, among other big name brands. For $8, the only way you could make a 3800mAh battery is if you used low grade cells from an unregulated source, and connected them with thin and basically worthless tabs. Additionally, the thermristors etc would be very cheap, meaning that they would not work very well when put under any kind of non-standard load or heat.
For the average Joe who only uses their device for phone calls and occasional data, no problem. You'd -most likely- be fine using this type of battery pack and get a good 4-6 months out of it before it stopped holding a charge at all. However, if you're loading custom ROM's or Kernel's on it and pushing the device beyond it's standard use, you're opening yourself up to unexpected results with this cheap of a battery. Would you hook up a window A/C unit with a 16 or 18 AWG extension cord (presuming you're using an extension cord at all)? No, you're putting yourself at a huge fire risk by doing that. You'd use a 12 AWG cord instead, so that it could handle the power being pulled by the A/C unit. Same thing with these batteries. If you use thin, worthless nickel (assuming they're nickel at all) and not the thickness to spec, it could heat up very quickly and cause damage to the cells, device, or worse.

I am almost 100% certain that those reviews are fraudulent. Look at their other batteries. The ones with only 5-7 reviews are pretty much the same. 5 stars, only review... it's really not hard to game Amazon like this. Verified purchase doesn't mean much either when you can give money to your friends/family/employees/strangers to buy them and give them 5 stars.
Then the rest are 1 star reviews from people who bought them and realized they are crap.

I ordered two and they work fine. NFC works as well and tested from my phone to my wife's S3. When I ordered they didn't have the two battery and separate charger available so was only able to get the batteries at $8.99 each shipped. Definitely stay away from Anker and Hyperion since it is confirmed they do not support NFC. The 2300mah QCell's are as good if not better than the Samsung original in terms of battery life.
Just received my Qcell batteries and charger a few minutes ago. Have the first battery charging now, will update when I have used them a time or two. It is not hard for me to believe the batteries would have similar characteristics to the OEM, it isn't rocket science... but time will tell.

OK, the Qcell battery is charged, I put it in my S3, and it fits like normal, powers up as normal, I can confirm NFC works the same as the OEM battery for me. I will comment on battery life, when I have used it a bit. Is there a good battery diagnostic app that mught be useful?
I have had the qcell batteries and charger for about a week now and I am definitely happy. After charging it fully and completely discharging it three times, I would have to say that it lasts noticiably longer than the standard 2100ml battery. Plus they are dirt cheal

Mine charges to 100% but it takes a loooong time. About 8 hours or so, starting from 15%. It seems to slow down for the last 10% too. This should be better for the battery, than a fast charger. The charger LED is purple while charging, and will turn blue when finished.
Try leaving it on the charger and see what happens. I thought the same as you guys the first day, but finally figured it out after some testing, using a volt meter, and then finally just leaving it on the charger for what felt like forever.
Only had the batteries a few days but battery life seems comparable to OEM.
Be careful with the chargers. I had a similar one with my evo 3d. After about a few months of use the charger contacts shorted and the charger basically fried up. Basically not a good idea to put a battery in it while it's plugged into the wall

Even after 24 hours it only charges the battery to 90%.

I would contact the seller. Mine is slow but like I said, about 8-10 hours for a charge. Does the light ever change on the charger?

I might do that.
Yes. It turns blue.

Just want to ask what you guys think is more worth it to buy...
Extra battery for Note or a power bank.
Extra Battery:
1. Open and close of back cover. More annoying when you have an external casing.
2. Requires one by one charging of batteries.
3. Only for Galaxy Note.
Power Bank:
1. Universal power bank. For future use once new phone.
2. Simultaneous charging.
3. Will charge phone and will take time. Not ready ASAP.
Thanks.

I'd say swapping battery only takes like 1 min. The biggest downside for me is that you can only charge the battery when it's in the phone.
Even though it should be THAT hard to make an external charger, if there isn't one already.

That would certainly be a very good idea with the external charger, I sure need me one right now.
I bought a Hyperion battery and Hyperion battery charger/dock on amazon a while back and either swap back and forth or dual charge. It works out great.
99% of the time the phone is usable. Meaning I'm never worried about the battery dying. Also its handy on road trips to bring multiple batteries

Thanks! thats really handy... getting one!
I have an extra battery which charges in my desk stand (sorry, no link because I bought it in a store) and a power bank which I charge via solar panels while camping. For day-to-day use I only use the second battery, because I don't want to wait to have a full battery.
I've just written a long post on this here:

Thanks, that's a neat review, I think I'm gonna let myself be tempted with the extended battery and kickstand cover; does it really adds extra thickness to the Note if you want to carry it in the pocket of your jeans?
As I said, I quite like the extra shape - I don't feel I'm going to drop it so much, and for me, in your typical jeans and jackets, I've had no problems. It feels more reassuring somehow.
My next job is to see if I can store a tiny little usb cable within the spare space!
But yep, the new appearance is not a minus for me, and the battery life plus stand are massive, massive pros.

you shouldn't have - it's only because of you that I just ordered the 13000 mAh model (got a little greedy for extra juice) - shame on you, it's all your fault...
Hehe, think you'll love it tho, will be interested to know your thoughts when you got it

I got completely lost here, which battery is being recommended again ?
Click on my link to another thread about three posts up, in that posting I recommend a power bank and also what I consider the best genuine 5,000ma battery (ebay seller: gps4less)
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
why not get both? Plenty of deals were on over the weekend.
7800mAh Probox
I recently got this model while in Thailand.Although I didn't fully test it , The looks are good, Its using Sanyo cells. It also says the total losses of the conversion is around 40% (external 3.7-5V boost and internal 5-4.2V buck),thus effectively available capacity is ~ 4500mAh - which should be ok for x3 usage. This one got 2 USB output ports too.
I've both. Stack of spare trees. Plus newtrent pack, which is great. Charges 5 times
From the man in your attic...
I vote for powerbank, just to future proof yourself. Spare batteries are nice but how long do you plan on keeping your phone? There are definitely plenty of options for power banks such as ravpower, anker, or newtrent.
Bought a powerbank but forced to buy 2 cheap batteries from ebay. My note batteries are getting fat... this is not safe...
