Okay, do a ##3282#, enter msl, go to advanced, uncheck evrc-b. That system is not fully functional yet. So far no more LOS.

Thanks havent tried it yet but I havent had any LOS since I flashed back stock with root through CWM.
Speech codec has nothing to do with LOS
Well, its been great for me so far.

Im still on zedo v4.1, had 2 los this morning which is what prompted me to try
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
Not that it matters to you, but what you changed has nothing at all to do with LOS. NOTHING. AT ALL.
On the other hand, I peed today, and then it rained. So my peeing makes it rain.
FWIW I havent had LOS in 2 days, I'm on Zedo 4.1 beta, and I've been on Zedo the whole time, So it's not anything I did, it's just the network IMO

You're thinking of two different things. EVDO Rev B is not active yet, EVRC-B is a speech codec for voice and has nothing to do with LOS.

I turned my phone completely off today and during that time, I had not one LOS. But I still wasn't able to make or receive any phone calls though. I will keep working on it and keep you guys posted. Battery life was great though.

Turned off EVRC-B and just now, ~5 hours after flipping the switch, I experienced a LOS. A quick reboot got the service back. So ya, turning EVRC-B off doesn't solve a thing.
I heard if you go to settings and change your meid to "1337" you won't get LOS!

So a few times a day my phone will start bugging out, vibrating and the same menu that would pop up if you pressed the menu button would come up. I find it pretty weird, I can't reproduce it but it comes and goes.

This kinda sucks because I have a feeling it's a hardware issue, I'm over my 14 days and I'm scared that I might get a phone with LOS. Damn I thought I almost got away with a problem free epic.......

Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
tonight mine freaked out a little bit but not exactly the same as yours. My phone appeared to freeze up for a few seconds and then anytime I pressed any of the capacitive buttons the voice talk app would say "what would you like to do?" I had to reboot it to get it to stop.

I Google's it a bit and it looks like others have this issue as well. It used to only happen once a day but lately it's more often. Issue seems to be getting worse. I know for sure tho when I bring it to sprint it won't happen at all and I'll have to argue with them.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
sorry for ressurecting an old thread. but anyone with a fix for this? i swear this hasnt happened untill like my 15th day lol..
someone help!
Im having the same problem.. But I can watch my menu open and close on its own. I cant figure it out to save my life. I got this oct 15th its now nov 4 th.. If I go to our sprint store & get a hassle, someone will be eatin this phone..

Well front desk girl almost ate this phone.... I felt kinda bad abt it afterwards.. Repair guy stayed behind the glass window... So after some pressure, they decided it was a hardware issue with the touch screen, an replaced the phone.

Yea, I get this issue every now and then. Some of the ROMs give me less frequency, but it always seems to happen again.

Why bother taking your case off, or wearing out the battery cover clips, or move more the necessarily?
This has never failed me.
Yes. To be honest, though, I always thought that it was power+volume up.

I don't believe you
Holding it down for around 10 seconds will also do a soft reboot.
You can also open up your dialer and punch in *#350# to do a full reboot.
Thanks for the tip, as a new E4GT and Droid user all these tips and tricks are helpful!
you would think this would be a universal feature on all electronics by now.

Wait, what? This is news to people? Every phone and computer I've ever owned does this. And it's listed in the manual for our phone. I'm sorry, is this supposed to be a joke I'm missing or something?

When people are shocked that you can "quickly and easily" adjust the brightness of your screen by sliding your finger across the notification menu, then yes, this is definitely ground-breaking news.
Any owner's manual typically holds a few nuggets of awesome like this.

Mr. Body Massage machine, GO!
there is so many little things this phone can do that completely amaze me lol still finding out more to, coming from a samsung moment
This only happens when I'm trying to type a text message or play a game that requires the use of a touch pad (like zenonia 3 and 4). The touch screen just refuses to respond properly and is causing me to be annoyed. Anyone know how to resolve this issue so I don't have to go back to Verizon and get a replacement?
NOTE: I've already tried to pull out the battery, format the phone, and the sd card. None of them worked.

On aosp roms I had the same issue.. just randomly would not respond. My soft keys would still and anything but the keyboard.. I don't know why. What I would do is turn my screen off and back on and it would start normal again.. then I just went back to sense and no issues

Ok, then I think it's probably an issue with the digitizer. I would take it to Verizon and see if you can get a replacement.

I was afraid you would probably say that, but I'm probably gonna do that around march or april. Unrooting my phone is gonna be a pain and redoing the process over, but I have little choice in the matter. Thanks.

I have a weird issue. Sometimes when I am typing out words, the letter "i" will capitalize itself In the mIddle of a word. LOL there It just dId It to all of these words I just typed! See the "mIddle" "It" and "dId" I can't get it to go lower case no matter what I try. It doesn't happen all the time, as you can see the rest of this post is going ok. It's only random. It's not really a big deal, it's just really weird! Anyone else have this issue? I've already tried turning off auto-capitalize in the keyboard settings, but that didn't work.

I never had this happen to me...but that might be because I switched to the jellybean keyboard as soon as the phone came out of the box (in my opinion, the TouchJiz keyboard sucks!).

I had the same issue once after upgrading to the LG8, but after I turned off the phone and back on, it has worked fine ever since.
So I figured out that it only happens when I have to go back and add/edit something in the middle of a sentence or paragraph that I already typed out.
Sent from my seksi SGS3 using Tapatalk 2
I had same issue with the stock keyboard. Only happened when I went back to edit. Pretty sure it's a bug. Went ahead and downloaded swype.
