Stupid question but I have to know

Is the vibration pattern on the search button different from all the others on the phone? Because mine is, was wondering if it was a defect.

Thanks, same here I am just making sure it's not some issue and that it is supposed to do that. Trying to give the phone a good working over in the short 14 day return policy

Yeah it is a little different. Was for me on my original epic as well

My brother invited me to a hang out today through google plus...on my end he appeared upside down but go him I was fine...anyone else have this issue and or fix?

Which phone did he have? I believe some phones have this problem when sending video through the ffc.

one of you is using a custom ROM that broke it. probably him.

I had an issue similar to this with Fring once. I as using an SGS running CM7 and my GF was on an X-Play with stock 2.3. I know it's not SGN related, but I've seen upside down video before. Never fixed it.

sorry for the off topic, but can we start a video chat from our phone only with g+? I never tried video chat of any kind and wanted to try it but have nobody else i know using g+...

Yes you can use g+ to video chat if Tue other person has g+.... I have a fully stock gnex and he has a 4g evo... I told him it was his phone and he kept blaming mine...either way just thought I would see if anyone else had this issue

My wife's phone and my phone have exactly the same issue you're describing.

Google+ Build version 3.0.1.32017166 running on Android 2.3.5. (4.67.651.3) (Sprint).
and Google+ Build version 3.0.1.32017166 running on Android 2.3.7 (CyanogenMod 7.2.0) also running on EVO via Sprint.
It could very well be an EVO issue.

Why does the camera randomly not work?

Sometimes when recording a video, there are vertical lines. And, sometimes when I initiate the camera app, there's just a black screen. Any of these issues fixable? Running stock 2.3.6

OP i have the same problem im sending it to samsung for repair

Haven't tried with other apps cause I actually love the stock camera.
I have an HTC Evo and an eee-pad docking station that's currently put for repair..... This issue isn't that much of a deal for me to send back. Guess I'll just deal with it.

Maybe you should try an ICS rom such as stock rooted fe22 and see if the camera still acts up?

Warranty replacement

So I have a call with a sprint supervisor tomorrow about a replacement for my epic 4g touch because of a lot of problems, but I don't know what to tell the person so that I can get a new replacement phone.
I've been having problems with gps, data, my screen is changing colors and the buttons on the bottom of the screen stop working for like twenty seconds after I turn on my phone from sleep.

Why not just tell them you have been having problems with gps, data, your screen changing colors and the buttons not working? Seems like they should give you a new phone to me
My girls phone is getting crap battery life and I am throwing her back to stock EL29...off to the Sprint store with you and get a new phone haha!
For the price we pay for warranty and insurance they better or it is breach of contract on THEIR part.

Hopefully they can find a way to get me a galaxy nexus ... hopeful!!!

They are. I just got my replacement epic 4g touch and it wasnt a refurb but rather a brand new device.

Hardware wise, this is a much better phone, unless you have access to lte.

I compared my phone to my buddy's strat today and they're not the same. The epic is flat on the back of the slider, but the stratosphere is stepped. It also looks like the grooves in the back of the slider are different.
