Has anyone tried this case yet?
http://www.handhelditems.com/samsung-i897-captivate-flexi-skin-case-black-p-143869.html
It states that it is a TPU case. And, it doesn't appear to have any patterns of any kind. If you have ordered one, let us know how it fits. Pictures would be great also! I will be ordering my Captivate next week!
I found similar items on Ebay. I believe that they still have the argyle pattern, but on the inside; since the material is solid instead of transparent you cannot see them once you insert the phone. I have ordered one and am waiting for delivery.

Awesome! Would love a few pictures when yours comes in! Can you post a link to the eBay auctions where you've seen this? Or, did you purchase the one I posted?
I bought one off of ebay, here is the link (ebay case). Upon further review, I am not sure if Polyolefin is the same as TPU, perhaps it is a blend. I suppose I will find out in a few days.

Thanks for the info!
from your links, if you change the colors to the transparent one, it still has the argyle patterns. probably its the same case with the Amzer brand one...

You are correct, and that was the point I was trying to make, sorry if I wasn't clear. I do however think that the offering is different than the Amzer selection, because all the Amzer cases are made from transparent material. This case however appears to be made from non-transparent material which prevents you from seeing the Argyle pattern that is imprinted on the inside. It still has the pattern, but since you do not see the inside once the phone is inserted then you can no longer see the pattern. At least, I hope this is the case. I suppose I will find out soon enough.
Any of you get this yet? It looks quite promising IMO
Still waiting on mine.

TPU Case
There were 2 listed...one from Day Deal, which I bought, and the one linked above which also appears to be Day Deal under a different name. If you want it, you'd better hurry!!!
Only thing I don't like about these TPU cases is that they're glossy...
The Body Glove at least puts the stripes in it to get it grippier... Is it worth over twice the cost? Probably not.
Just received the case from the Ebay link that I posted and I am quite impressed. It is a nice solid black that almost retains the stock look and feel. Much easier to hit the softkey buttons at the bottom and slide the brightness along the top than when I had the black silicone case on it. It is glossy, but looks very nice. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a solid black TPU case, and does not want to see the funky Arglye pattern or whatever it is called. I will try to upload some pictures later if I can figure out how to get the pictures off my wife's camera without a cord...
Look forward to seeing it!

I am now contemplating between this and the innocase. Innocase sells at $30 + sh.
I guess this mostly apply to people who are planning to buy a thin case that doesn't provide anything more than scratch protection. I fall into this category and was planning to wait for Zagg to get a invisible shield product out, but as I was putting the battery in for the first time I realized...
why don't I just replace the plastic cover when it gets too scratched or when I want to sell the phone? I'm sure the genuine covers will start showing up on ebay soon enough.
Forgive me if this is a duh thing and has been generally dismissed... I came from an iPhone...
Thoughts?
There are rubberized back covers now on the internet, and they are, in my opinion alot better than a case because you keep that thin feeling and have a rubbery touch to it..

Find me a link I was looking on ebay and couldn't find one. Thanks
Here's what I found. Not ebay, but anyway.
Look on mobilecityonline dot com for product #27649 "Motorola Rugged Battery Cover"
I'm too new to post a link.
I'd do this, but I like a case that has a 1-2mm lip around the display. That way your screen stands a better chance of not cracking if it falls face-down or front edge down. I wish I could get a slider like the Seidio Innocase II I had for my N1. I'd dropped that a bunch of times and the phone doesn't have any scars for it. I have the Speck case for now, but I'll ditch it once something thinner like the Innocase shows up.
first company to release a soft touch back cover replacement with kickstand gets my money!

Best Skins Ever FTW
On every device I've owned I've always had a best skins ever. The texture and quality is better than any others I have tried. Every skin I've ever had covers every part of the phone and they have all lasted until I replaced the phone. Very durable. I've ordered mine for the Atrix and should have it shortly. I can post pics when I put it on but in the mean time here is a link and a couple examples of a bestskinsever on my Nexus.

I've never really been a big fan of skins.... be it ZAGG Invisible Shield or anything similar. They just feel odd to me. I actually purchased a cheap TPU case for my Atrix, and like it quite a lot.
As for PowerMat which someone mentioned, i sent them an e-mail about a week ago, and recieved the usual expected canned response... they don't have a battery door right now, but the PowerCube would work. Really do hope they make a battery door replacement.... might be worth getting.
Yeah, I would love an Atrix powermat backcover. I was going to buy a standard dock but maybe I'll wait for a bit.

Anyone know why these are being discontinued everywhere?...
Probably because they were never technically released by Motorola. If you read reviews of the ones that some people have gotten a hold of, even the overall feel of the cases seem to differ even depending on what color they picked.
It's not a bad cover....not great either. But it is the only one that will allow it to fit into the vehicle dock without modification. I ordered it from a place in Canada, it shipped from Hong Kong. Took about a month to get to me. The edges are kinda flimsy, especially around the usb/hdmi dock area. And the lip doesn't stay "lipped" around the edge of the display very well. I think I'll just go back to my OtterBox Impact. I spend less time taking it off and putting it back on, than I do with constantly adjusting the ruggedized cover.
Has anyone tried these screen protectors yet? They have 8 reviews, all of which are 5 stars. Surprised nobody has mentioned these yet. I went ahead and ordered one to see how it looks. I know it's going to be the matte finish but I'm wondering how the fit is because nobody mentions the fit in a negative manner in any of those reviews.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006ZNVWO4/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
Looking forward to hearing about the "clear" version.
Thanks for the heads-up.
Would love to hear how you like this as well. Any time there is a random product with all five stars I get suspicious, so be sure to give us a review!
Yeah, they do have the ultra-clear version too (http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax..._17?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1332858648&sr=1-17) but it's unavailable so wasn't able to order that one. Really just want to see how the fit is...if it's a hybrid of the full size plus SGP's size then I think it will be perfect!
I think its safe to say just about every single one of those reviews are fabricated... some guy commenting even pointed out that one of the reviewers had written a review on multiple products of the same company in the same day.
But alas, try it out, I do like Anti-glare protectors, and report back here, I'll be awaiting a quick (real) review!

Damn, I didn't see that last review comment. I feel like I kind of got ripped off now. Oh well we will see, if it sucks too badly then I'll just return it. Amazon customer service FTW.
I'd love to know as well, I stumbled upon that same exact screen protector this morning, and a quick Google search led me here (was also skeptical of the reviews after reading the last comment).
I LOVE matte screen protector's, but I haven't been able to find one the does not 'rainbow' on the Galaxy Nexus. Need something to stop my sweaty fingers from smudging up the screen! I will be waiting for your review as well, and possibly a close up camera pic to show possible 'rainbowing'?

As a recommendation, I'm using the anti-glare "Basal Guard" from Amazon. The fit is very good, only problem is that it does lip on the edges, if you have a case that covers the edges though you wouldn't be able to tell. As far as rainbowing goes, I don't see any, and it has the standard matte feeling to it.
The antiglare effect is very heavy on the protector, some will hate it, some will appreciate it, I personally do think it detracts from the beautiful screen, but I love the matte feeling so I kept it on.
So I just got it in today and after using it for the day I've decided to take it off already. This is a very heavily matted type screen cover so the rainbow looking pixels are very noticeable on anything white which bugs the living hell out of me. HOWEVER, the fit is near perfect. I think they hit the perfect size from the edge so it doesn't lift up so I will definitely be ordering their ultra-clear one when the come back in stock. I will put up a picture as soon as I get my hands on my girlfriend's camera to show you guys.

Hello everyone,
I was going through videos on youtube of SGN 10.1 cases and I found this one, and I gotta say that this is one of the most interesting cases I've seen! The Korean website listed that it will be available September 14th (thank you google), but their international website listed the availability as early September. I'm definitely itching for the black one! The pricing might be a little high but it's better than any official Samsung case I've ever seen.
Do You know if portrait is possible with this case?
Judging by the pictures and the video they provided, I doubt it's possible.
Nice but I would prefer a simpler version without exterior stylus holder and without hand strap as elastic tend to stretch over time whereit'll evetually be a dangling mess.
There have been several posts regarding Zenus cases already in the Cases thread, you can all find more information there.
Yes, I understand that this thread is related to the Zenus cases ONLY and I think it's a good idea to have a specific thread where the owners of a Zenus case can share their experience etc. The above was, again, just a notification that you can find more information in the other thread.

just noticed the international site has changed the availability date for the Lettered case from "the early of September" to "the Mid of September" so the release date of the 14th sounds about right
Not sure about this one. Notice that it's not leather but PU leather. This in itself doesn't mean anything.
They most likely will have another higher-end line with real leather veneer for these also. They will run about $120 US, but they will be MUCH better quality all around and a different design. You can get an idea by searching on Ebay for other tablets, phones etc.. It's actually pretty confusing, so if you do this, take your time and look very closely. Unfortunately though, going by pictures isn't all that much help i'm afraid.
Just aheads up.
The case in the link looks pretty nice though.
Yeah I was pretty disappointed when I read that it was "synthetic leather", but it still looks good. I'll see if someone will post a video review of the case when it becomes available.

Real leather would be better for this particular design given the burned-in emboss look. I think this case will be 'ok'. The leather ones they release will be 'fantastic', going by my albeit, somewhat limited experience.
But then again, this PU job may be great. Don't know.
Also, it's perhaps useful to know that the genuine leather cases that Zenus does sell are really a leather veneer (like Vaja cases). This is ok for a tablet case as they can make them rigid and therefore lightweight. All leather cases can also be really nice of course, but it's probably going to be a traditional portfolio rather than an exposed bezel design.

Thats great news! Being lefty, that is just what i'm looking for, still waiting for mine to arrive. Thanks.
Some more sharing...
Pros:
1. Stable stand in both viewing angles. Can support palm resting on it when writing.
2. Hard cover offers good protection to the screen when closed.
3. The elastic band allows holding the device in one arm easily.
4. Fit the device well. Easy to take out the s pen.
5. Professional look
Cons:
1. Considerably heavier than my expectation. (Well, you need to pay for the pros)
2. When holding by left arm, must be in portrait orientation due to the position of the elastic band.

I had a custom dbrand skin for my n4 and it was very nice. I am curious to see how they do for the moto x.
It looks as close to the real wood Moto X as anything else I've seen. The reviews I've read from AndroidCentral and AndroidPolice speak very highly of them. For $10, I think it is quite reasonable for the high quality 3M vinyl. They ship on 10/4, so I should have it by next week hopefully.
Will any of you use a bumper? If so, which one...or is there one out there that is worth getting?
I had one on my N4 before I had it RMAed and the quality is superb, I can reapply it, just haven't yet. For those of you who dont know, you can check out there Facebook page or the thread in the Nexus 4 forums.
