It seems while my phone is plugged in after a period of time the screen touch input is not functioning properly.Unplug it and it fine. Anyone else with this issue?

This same problem came up when I was using MIUI and now I am on CM7 and I thought it would go away.
When I try to make a phone call (for example, like trying to activate the phone) the screen shuts off during the phone call but the sound still works. I can even talk to the person from Verizon but I can't get the screen or touch screen to work. I can push any button. I can't even turn the phone off with the power button.
The only way to get the phone to work normally again is to pull out the battery.
This so far has ONLY happened with phone calls. Everything else works great.
The only thing I can think of is the sensor that detects if your ear is up to it is glitching.
Does anyone have any suggestions ?
This used to happen to me every once and a while, usually playing with the track button would fix it though. A few hard presses and moving your finger over it real fast would snap the phone out of it and the screen would light.
The sensor was just blocked off and apparently was causing the problem. Took the screen off and removed what was blocking it and it now works perfectly. Did this about 14 days ago and its been good ever since.
I recently opened my phone to fix the power button which wasn't working to well.
The problem is now that I turn on my phone it won't turn on the screen.. I did check that the connector was plugged in, and nothing happened. The phone does vibrate followed by a sound as usual.
Any solution to fix this problem?

You need to get it checked because it is possible that while opening your cell phone, you must have cracked or disassembled some connectors...
Good afternoon all, I'm wondering if anyone can help.
My Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 developed an issue with the screen (after travel - where it may have been knocked around a little)...
The tablet boots up fine and the screen appears to work normally.
However once the screen times out and switches off, or the screen is switched off by the power button, it is not possible to get the screen back on.
It appears that it's just the backlight that is not coming back on?.... as the screen responds to touch (you can here the pin code buttons being clicked).... but can't see anything at all on the screen.
Rebooting the tablet from here makes the screen come back on as normal - so as it works like this and just does not come back on after being 'on staandby' I thought it might be a software issue... I did a full factory reset but unfortunately the problem is still exactly the same.
I've had the tablet to bits to see if I could see any cables loose or anything - but everything looks ok - I think (Although it's the first time I've had one apart and wasn't 100% sure which cables were for the screen)
There was nothing obviously disconnected or loose.
Has anyone come across this fault before or can anyone provide any more guidance? Maybe a particular cable to check or how to check it?

I have the same issue, but I was able to fix it entering the factory mode and pressing the sleep button. That was possible using the calculator and entering (+30012012732+ and then entering *#0*# to get to test mode.
The problem now is that I'm using lineageOS so I don't know how to get to that menu or trigger that sleep button. Anyone?

Started out of nowhere, but the screen doesn't light up until the device has been fully restarted, in which case once you lock the screen, the problem starts all over again and I have to restart it again. It also lights up when the device is off and the power cord is plugged in, but only briefly. Once it goes away, I can't use the power button or anything else to check the status of charging, only thing that works is unplugging it and plugging back in. It's still sensitive to the touch, there's haptic feedback, capacitive buttons work, it just stays black most of the time. Has anybody else had this issue and knows how to fix it? It came out of nowhere, the device is not rooted, haven't dropped it or anything. Thanks in advance
