What are the two lines beneath my username...
Is someone tracking me down
Just to be clear what i am saying
I dont see it now...
Must be your screen.lol
It happens because sometimes the country flag from the user's post above your overlaps into your profile space, when the person above only makes a short post.
In that picture, it's the bottom of a US flag

As some of you may have noticed, attaching large images breaks the phpBB layout.
[DSC00580.JPG left]There is a way to make the "phpBB attachment MOD" do thumbnails, but I didn't like the way attachments get all their meta-info displayed. Nice for zip files and the like, not for images. They should be a natural part of the layout.
Luckily I had some code lying around I wrote for the school website I built a while ago. At that site we use phpBB as a sort of content management system, and the code allows for some flexibility when attaching images.
From now on, if you attach an image, you can give it a place in your message by enclosing the name in square brackets anywhere. So if you attach an image called 'DSC000237.jpg' then if you put '[dsc000237.jpg]' in the text, this gets replaced with the image. (The name is not case sensitive). The image will be resized if it is wider than 500 pixels, clickable for those that want to see the original image. Unless you put 'noframe' after it (i.e. '[dsc000237.jpg noframe]' ), the image will be placed inside a narrow white frame that also holds the attachment description.
[DSC00579.JPG]
If you say '[dsc000237.jpg left]' or '[dsc000237.jpg right]', the image will be inserted to the left or the right of the text flow, and resized to be 200 pixels wide. Again, you can add 'noframe' after the left or right to make the frame disappear.
Any images not mentioned in the text get shown at the bottom of the message, two side by side.
I've added a few pictures with this message so you get the idea. For the curious: it's a school in Eastern Germany, redesigned by Friendensreich Hundertwasser.

How many posts do have to have to post an image?
HTC home "Favorite People" - names are cut to a few letters only. Any fix possible?
Does anyone know if there is a way to modify some registry or *.ini settings to display at least some more letters from a last name so the contact can be recognized?
The problem is that when you assign names from contacts list to Favorite People tabs, the font is so small and room is so little that it displays only a few first letters of a name so you can't figure out whose number is there in case you have same last name for a few persons in your contacts. Try it, and you see what I mean. Here is a screenshot from my Favorite people list. As you can see, two different contacts named "Katia Cell" and "Katia Work" are displayed only with words "Katia..." So it's impossible to figure out which contact is which.
My personal opinion is that it's needed to reduce number of people down to six (from ten) so there will be more room to display letters. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
Hello,
If you put the two phone numbers on the same contact, there will be a small icon in the upper left corner to differentiate cell phone and land line number.
This Favorite People option is to use with the contact who has contact's picture. I am using it with picture contact and its fine. For mobile, home or work an icon appear with the picture if you have the same contact with all the different information.
I got it. Works good with a picture contact. Thanks.
I looked at the 2013Beta theme, and the forum page looks very similar to the current 2013 theme...
Is it possible to get a minimalist theme for the forums? Possibly with a dynamic reaction added to the interface?
For example...
myself, personally... unless I care about a specific post, I really don't want to have the user's profile and avatar and signature taking up so much real estate on the screen, that there is actually more of that content, than there is actual posts that I am looking to read.
and then, perhaps a hover state would reveal the entire contents of the post. Even the quoted text could be included in what is revealed on hover. I know that I see many posts with huge quote sections, that I don't need to see, because the response is thorough enough or directly following the post it is quoting in the first place.
Perhaps even give the user settings, where they can choose which elements are hidden until they mouse over the "reveal all" section of the post, or hit the "reveal all" toggle. Something like that... it could even be a right click menu or hover menu on the title bar of the post.
I did a quick DOM edit just now and screen capped the comparisons. This is without even touching on the concept of smaller icons, less padding... etc
I know that many people like to see interfaces in different ways. I deal with UI enhancements for productivity/usability purposes on a daily basis. And for me, having as little extra information to ignore on the screen, as my eyes scan for information I am actually interested in, makes for a much easier flow, as well as faster.
thanks for reading!
I am trying a new weather widget that provides weather conditions in text form. Occasionally the text it too long to fit on one line so I need to be able to force a line break in the incoming text. How do I do that?
Thanks in advance.

How about something like this in a Rich Text module:
Code:
[tr=0,4]#WCCOND#[/tr]
[tr=4,20]#WCCOND# [/tr]
I don't know at wich letter you want the line break so my example is after the fourth letter.
On the first line the first four letters will be shown and on the second line (cropped) from the fifth to the twentieth letter.
You need some empty spaces (and calculate them yourself as after which letter you want the line break) in the second line because otherwise Zooper will show the text if it becomes the same or smaller as the crop start point.

Very crafty. And yes line breaks seem only to be avaialable in Rich Text, and to truncate/substring is good to shorten a line (and sometimes it adds the dots "...") but, both together is a cool way to do it!

Thanks for the help. I wasn't able to use the solution however, because the length of the text that I want on the 1st line is always variable. The second portion of the text comes from a different feed, so I just decided to make a different field and put that field below the 1st. But your suggestion did come in handy on a different portion of the widget. I will keep your suggestion in my stash of Zooper tricks.
Thanks again,

hey guys, this question is a bit too broad i guess. i need to create an icon that represent the word extra and not the newspaper, cause it would have been very, very easy. i can't think of an image that could represent others or extra without wordings. this icon is to be used for an android app. so guys if you have any idea, please let me know.
thanks....
Depends a little on your context. Can you elaborate on what is going to be "extra"?
Things which came to mind: ... in case you are actually looking for "more", +1 if you want to order an "'extra" pizza.
what about a system cog image with a large X in the middle or a X but with one of its corners an arrow that might work well
I would go with a simple plus "+" or "+1" if you want to add something with your extra option. Otherwise maybe just three simple dots "..." would do? But yeah, a context would be nice for more suggestions

the things that might appear under/inside that icon is open door and do not disturb. well i've searched about wifi and stuff so i know them, most of the time i am using "common sense" to create icons. i create icons similar to what i've already seen and i've never seen an "extra" icon before.
