[Q] ad unblock - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Maybe this is a weird question but how can I unblock the ads?? I'm using syndicate frozen 1.2 with genocide 2.0 and I need to see some ads in a game, how can I do this? I haven't installed any ad-blocking app, this is, I guess, a Rom feature

Adblock should have a revert feature.

[Q] rom and theme problems

i flashed the myn 2.2 warm rom and it was amazing, however i tried to switch to viruses roms and themes and i have encountered all kinds of issues, for instance, flashing the latest airbourn rom i think 10? i can do that works fine, however i try to flash my theme of choice and it just does the new get infected screen for at least 20 minutes before i get fed up and shutoff, i also cannot flash rc1.1 its becoming irritating. i loved the carbon themed version of the very first virus rom and i haven't gotten back to it. also when i flash myns rom i cannot seem to get launcher pro to work properly, and i even flashed the themed one that was available as well. i do not know how to use the titanium backup that well. so if someone could give me some answers in a very very n00b way id be very much obliged.
anybody? please

Help with disabling sprint authentication and deodex

So I know we won't be having to use our wireless tethering app.
Because thanks to calkulins mod, we can disable the authentication, but I would have to deodex or use the custom rom.
I'm pretty attached to my rom.
Plus calkulins rom always twitches on my phone.
Can I use the mod without being deodexd?
If I do what happens?
But if not does anyone know how I can deodex my phone? Thank you.

Ever find an answer to this, I'm having the same problem.

[ROM] seeARMS' XWJV1 Gingerbread BETA - Voodoo Kernel [3/5/11] [v0.1]

Hey all,
Here's a custom ROM based on XWJV1 with a focus on speed and stability. Nothing too special; it's just a stock, unthemed, deodexed, optimized Gingerbread BETA ROM with some minor modifications.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a BETA ROM running on a BETA KERNEL, so I don't recommend installing this ROM if you're afraid of breaking your device / don't know how to use ADB / get upset when your phone crashes. This ROM is smooth, sleek, and looks damn good too, however, again, this is a BETA ROM, so there are going to be bugs on any ROM based on JV1. Don't complain.
Features:
Voodoo Gingerbread Beta Kernel
Based on Stock Gingerbread Beta XWJV1
Fully deodexed and zipaligned
Fixed build.prop, permissions for launch_GPS, as well as many other minor file tweaks
Removed Samsung Bloatware
Removed Startup + Shutdown sounds
Fully updated Google Apps + Swype
Gingerbread screen-off animation (Very cool. )
Removed Apps:
-Allshare, Press Reader, Aldiko eBook, Buddies Now, Layar, Mini Diary, Write and Go
Added apps:
-Launcher Pro, Gingerbread Launcher, Gingerbread Keyboard
Download: http://www.multiupload.com/YFJTDTFVD0
Installation Instructions:
Flash from CWM after disabling all lagfixes. If you don't know how to install a ROM you shouldn't be using this one.
Have you got the new tweak by nickadeamus or whatever his name is?
Hi.
Just downloading will give a try.

Just for the record, I bricked my i9000 GT. The bootloader gets messed up and I am now downloading a complete ROM to flash from heimdall.

Don't scare everyone man, your bootloaders are fine, your /system got corrupted resulting in a bootloop.
Corrupted bootloaders would mean either complete brick, or no 3BR
hi seearms just downloaded rom and installed jl2 modem everything fine so far, but time will tell. i was on ultibread when i came to yours so it was an easy transfer
Switched from a fresh stock 2.2, strangely i got the glitched screen when trying to enter recovery. Any suggestions? I see advice to flash boot.bin but I've not flashed JV1 prior to this so it can't be a bootloader problem.
Thanks.
Just wondering can this be installed from cwm if your current rom is froyo?
Ready to Test Drive
Really Eager to Try this ROM
Downloading now...

To install ultibread I flashed jv1 via odin, then unchecked auto reboot and flashed a hardcore kernel pulled the battery, rebooted into CWM and flashed ultibread as a zip from the sdcard . Should be the same procedure here, good luck!
I've been running your rom since yesterday and so far it's great with the JL2 modem. Highly recommended thus far...stable and fast like u said and even faster after enabling lagfix

Not yet, it'll be included in the next release.

Flash JV1 via Odin first, I believe it's the secondary boot loader in non-JV1 ROMs which causes screen tearing in recovery.

Good job seeARMS! I am going to wait a bit for and update before I jump in to this one as my i9000m is running so bloody fast on Darky's Extreme v9.3 that I don't want to mess with it. hahaha
I am going to try it though. I support you and your roms.
Fugu tweak by nickadeamus is gingerbread mod for froyo only. Not for gingerbread rom

Technically Nikadeamus said that it "may" work on GB but hasn't tested it.
EDIT: Some users with JV1 claimed to have noticed only a slight improvement if any at all. However, it may just be plain old placebo at work.

[Q] Name of sprint boot-down sequence?

I really don't like the boot-down sequence sprint includes. I would like to remove with root exploer and possibly replace. Which file should i remove? I'm running Starburst Rom 1.6 right now and phantom left it on there for some reason. Rom is amazing by the way! People need to get on that ****!

[Q] Omega Rom

I recently installed the Omega Rom, it has a swype keyboard which i don't like and i'd prefer the stock one. anybody know how i can get rid of it?
Also i installed a theme, does anyone know how to uninstall the theme?
so it has swype beta installed yet i NEVER installed it, ive gone through all files and deleted what i found from that app, but yet it seems to stay on the phone, any ideas ?!?!?!?
