Sound on Orbit

Been using the device for over a month now, delighted best one yet! Had XDA, XDA II, XDA IIi, EXEC & Mini! Have a problem nw though when I try and change any of the sounds through either settings or Phone set-up orbit just hangs but its fine when I use the O2 today add-on anyone else?
Where in the registry do the sounds live really want to turn off SMS notifications...

I am also interested. Besides I'd like to know how to get ride off the strange sound after a telephone conversation is over. It's a bit annoying for me. thx.

Phne setup or sound setaup hangs!!!
I have the same problem of above, after googling, searching and so I couldn´t find anything.
Everything was ok but suddenly when I try to enter in sounds setup or phone setup the device freezes and I have to soft reset no way to reach that.
I have ringo installed but I had it before and I was able to enter withouth any problem.
In the other hand I readed in a spanish forum that a guy that had this problem still having it after a full hard reset what makes me feel a little panic...
I would really apprecciate if anyone that had this problem and was able to solved give me any hint

Problem with CRC r13.0 ROM - no voice transmission!

Hi all - from some reason, after a non consistent time, any phone calls I make do not transfer my voice - it'd dial the number, the recipient will answer but hears nothing. A reboot may not fix it - but a few will eventually. Calls I am receiving are perfectly fine.
Any ideas?

dodgy microphone crc 13 rom fix
Hey i had the same problem and found it hard to find a fix, so i installed resco audio recorder and set it to record phone calls, now the microphone kicks in every time! its a dodgy work round but it works well if your desperate. tho its worth opening and closing the audio recorder occasionally to reclaim program memory, and deleting the files through the program only sends them to the recycle bin if u use resco explorer, so delete through that. sorry if this is the wrong spot to reply, but i've been at work all night and want to get this info out! good luck and thanks to all

Uninstall SRS WOW HD
I had this problem when I first used CRC's ROM. I don't think it's the CRC's issue to fix, per se, but I determined it was the SRS WOW HD app under System in his Device Update that was the offender. Once I removed that, my phone's mike started working again. Never investigated the app to see if anyone else reported a problem. I just figured I didn't need it so badly as to lose my ability to talk on the phone (and let people know I was actually able to hear them).

Yes, most of the time when people have issues with there sound, its SRS WOW or its a hardware issue.

[Q] Camera and flash inop, no repair service

Hi everyone..
I have a problem with my Desire I'm hoping someone here can answer a few questions about.
The camera and flash have stopped working. If I launch the camera the phone just displays a black screen, back wont work and the only way out is the home button. If I launch the flashlight, everything appears OK, except it doesn't turn it on, the on screen controls are all there though and act like everything is working. Then when I'm browsing the internet or FB, the phone sometimes flashes the light.
The thing is I live in Iceland, and the service agent here sends everything HTC out to Denmark to get fixed, but since I bought my phone in Norway they cant help me. So I have no access to service on the phone.
My question is does this sound more like a hardware or software problem to you, and do you think I could fix this by rooting and installing f.x. CM7? The only other reasonable option I have is buying a new phone, which I'd rather avoid if at all possible.
Can you help?

Reflash it using the PM99IMG.zip method, it's the most efficient method to get back. If that doesn't fix it, it's a hardware issue.
What's the "branding" on your Desire?

Well you can try with just the EXE, maybe it'll work. and you may have to make a gold card.

Sim not detected.

Phone arrived yesterday for my partner and after a lot of fun and laughs with the the update bootlloop ,it just gets better.
After fastbooting latest Elephone rom from Needrom,everything works well except I can't phone.Put in my Virgin T-Mobile sim ,not detected,so cut down a nearly year old Asda freebie mini sim from EE,still not seen.Both working well in My Doogee Dagger 550.Have heard some having problems with Virgin, but this phone should be ok .
Thinking of trying another rom ,tried Eragons did not put a sim card in, but thought partner would prefer more vanilla rom.
Any help please as partner going through a very trying time at mo,mum not well.

Seems it may be hardware?
Wow problem solved ,reflashed rom again ,still not there read about disabling all added apps and on power on jab volume down button and sim know seen .

Hi morrig. Please can you be more specific in your steps here? How do you disable all apps and in particular, at which point do you 'jab power down'? All I get is the Chinese recovery bit :/
I have successfully managed to revive my phone using the '909' ROM but like you and many others, my SIM isn't being detected in either slot.
It's a frigging shame really. The P8000 is a great phone in my opinion let down by shoddy developers and lousy customer service. I hope Elephone get it sorted soon.

Have'nt a clue why it worked initialy,lost sims again.
Only work round was to flash Elephone rom 7/25 which has the right kernel to support sim,then flashed recovery and intalled Eragon rom.
Then found yesterday morning that after on charge all night battery nearly flat,partner(whose phone it is) was spitting blood.
Problem fixed by wiping cache,then charged well.
Cracking hardware and value,rubbish software, thankfully being solved by great developers.

I'll give 7/25 a crack and see how I get on. I'm not doing so well at the moment but still hopeful.

That;s weird.. I have a similar issue.
Been trying out a bunch of ROMs - well, Nexus and Eragon and Stock.
Nexus won't detect my SIMs at all and the other 2 detect them but can't make a call (can send a text oddly enough... not receive though).
Something to do with IMEI not being picked up.
I flashed 7/25 using SP Tools but no joy.
I did use:

.. that to manually put the IMEI in but it's a bit odd.
Just gonna try Eragon 6.1/Philz and that weird IMEI 'fix' and see if it works.
It'd be nice if I could just stick the Nexus ROM on and everything worked...

Great danes,you buy a smartphone to use mainly as a phone and without it working its nearly useless.
Did you use Win 7 to flash ,very easy to install MTK drivers ,tried everything on Win 10,did the restart with digital signing,noticed that on Win 7 had two digital signing yes or no yet only one in Win 10.Think thats why couldn't get Win 10 to install drivers properly ,yet others have,maybe because I'm on build 10586?

I used the rom on Needrom,no problems and never bother using nvram backup on install of new rom on my DG550 or the Elephone.

Just to add don't try Eragon 6.1 its beta and some have sim problems ,use 5.9.2,that's the one that works.

Yeah, I've installed 5.9.2 now.
Basically, I put in the IMEI manually, used *#*#4636#*#* to enable the radio and the 4G works now. I can make and receive calls.
However, I can't RECEIVE texts (standard SMS). I can send them but not receive.
Why do you think that would be?

How to remove voicemail icon?

Hi!
So i looked on the forums and post of the zenfone 2 , and i cant find anyone asking this... Or i am a fool because i don know how to do it, or it cant be removed on stock rom (updated to the last one)
This voicemail is from years ago, so i dont remember the password :silly: sry, but i dont want to call "customer care" because they are slow and time consuming

Funnily enough I had a similar problem, no way could I get rid of the notification icon.
I fixed it by rebooting the phone, icon gone ?

Ok, I'm with Rogers (Canada) and normally it won't go away until I check all my messages. I saw that you said you forgot the password for it. If you don't want to talk to them over the phone use their livechat option. I normally do that if I'm on the computer doing other stuff as well, just a suggestion.
