Hi forum...
In short...
Is the SuperCharger script anything for us ??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
It sounds really good...
I have it in my Desire HD, and it seems like the phone are running a little smoother...
The dev. say it should work on any rom, custom, stock anything android based really...
I have run the script on both my Android 2.3.4 and my Android 3.1 device, with no errors...

Hmm It recomends using busybox 1.18.2 or lower. I'm running 1.19.0 Is anyone else using the script with this version of busybox?

[Q] which ROM - need 2-way recording, no ads, and 2.3.4, with HTC sense

question - which is most error free rom that has 2-way recording, ads free, and has current Gingerbread built.
sorry for asking this.. rather than searching, I do not know much, but there isn't a direct thread saying this is all one needs.
I have vodafone australia desire hd, which i updated with new system software update... i know a little bit that to flash a rom i need to downgrade first...
the question is ... all i need is the phone to be adfree and has 2-way recording... that is all i want along with whatever it is right now, with latest update from vodafone/htc.
thanks
The best rom so far with sense surely is Leedroid, its on 2.3.3 currently
I just flashed LeeDroid's latest v3.1.5 rom and 3.1.6 kernel and I must say I'm very impressed.. I previously had a HTC stock 2.3.3 GB rooted rom and there are clear differences in terms of speed and performance
MDJ's kernel (that works with pretty much all sense roms) has the 2WCR patch so if you like look of a ROM but want a different kernel, you can flash MDJ's. For a while I was using it with ARHD (for the 2WCR + higher overclock) but the new OC daemon is too good to not have
I was looking for a kernel for 2 way recording. I will try this one. Thanks

I personally tried several roms, and still experimenting new ones. 2-way call recording is vital to me. I think Coredroid and Leedroid are two good options.
Lee and MDJ are two kernels for Sense-based roms. Both of them support 2-way call recording. Now Lee kernel is 3.1.6 and MDJ's Unity is v2.
I personally chose Coredroid for its eye candy. I settle for 6.8 and then flashed with latest lee kernel 3.1.6. 7.0 is too new to me.
Since you just updated your firmware, let's pray it's not 2.37 or higher, or all you can do is just wait...

Not sure of the answer to the first question, but I am running Supercharger on RR Phoenix and it makes it a little snappier. Loads a little faster on reboot. Phoenix is already an amazing ROM, but SC makes it just a hair quicker. I am using option 6 right now...havent really had a need to try to get anymore out of it. Hope that helps!
I believe ERA's EC05 has everything you need for the supercharger scripts baked into the rom, you just have to run which ever scripts you choose after booting up.

[Q] supercharger necessary fon HTC One X?

Hi,
I got an HTC One X unlocked and rootet, running on LeeDroids One Xtreme V6.4.0 and franco.kernel r9.
No problems so far, running very smooth.
I was reading about the supercharger script but im not sure if its necessary and IF, if i have to change the services.jar file?
In LeeDroids thread it was said that his Rom is supercharger compatable, does this mean i dont have to change the service.jar file for ics? Has he done that already?
Thx for your help.

no nothing is necessary if you find it smooth fine
its not supercharger ready, it was simply the supercharger webapp being confused
check the patched files and all the info in here

Thank you for your quick help
i think i leave it as it is for now because i didnt experience any problems till now.
thx again

delete thread please.

edit: nvm delete thread.
JellyBean isn't fully stable on our DHD/I4G just yet. There are always going to be some issues because HTC didn't give us a full 3.0 kernel for ICS. That could be the reason you are experiencing some lag. Kernels could also help you, try the KangBang performance kernel, although the kernel is leaning towards performance, so it could cause instability
I bought the xda app. Problem?
...
I can't link to the kernel (cause I'm lazy and on the xda app). But when you install a kernel wipe your cache and Dalvik Cache and then flash. That's the proper way of flashing a kernel

Hey thanks for the reply, yeah i successfully installed the stable and performance kernel from this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931386
But the gaming performance still lags compared to 2.3.5. I guess its due to not being fully stable yet.
I had an idea, what if i flash the stock 2.3.5 kernel? Would i get stock performance back or not?

You'll ruin your phone. A 2.3.X kernel I'd meant for that specific version of Android. If you mix versions (e.g. a Gingerbread kernel with a Jelly Bean ROM) you'll most likely get bootloops and your phone. At worst you'll brick your phone. Don't ever mix kernel versions. Also don't flash a Sense kernel on a AOSP/AOKP/CyanogenMod based ROM (or vice versa), you'll also have a phone that won't boot.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Yeah I was guessing it had something to do with the kernel. I tried a kernel yesterday not sure which one it was from memory, but when I put the kernel zip onto the phone and installed it through recovery it said install complete. But when I rebooted the phone it gets stuck on a black screen. I can't do anything else unless I take the battery out. I was wondering if anyone can give me a link to the kangbang kernel and instructions in how to install properly if the recovery mode isn't the right way, even though it said kernel updated successfuly. Thanks!

The only compatible alternative kernel for JB is the KangBang (at least that i know of). If you flashed another one, that might be why it booted to a black screen.

Stability? - JellyBean vs Gingerbread

Hey ive just unlocked, and flashed cwm on a friends wfs.
From a quick look at the development section, the most popular roms seem to be based on 4.2.2 or 4.0.4
I found this quite odd, since the device is so old and its specs are quite bad as well.
Anyways, if anyone that has some experience with both gingerbread and jellybean roms on the wfs could give me some insight on which are better both stability and speed wise. Im not really looking for any other features. All i really need is some sort of a2sd script.
If you have any specific roms that you could link me to that would be great too.
I dont have time to try all of them out, and any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

Actually most devices with similar specs to the WFS have roms based on 4.2.2 and 4.0.4.....My advice would be to run ICS....since it's the most stable android version I've used and is bug free(USB tethering doesn't work on CM7 based roms) for this phone
Jelly bean takes quite a load on our phones and isn't as smooth in the long run as ICS
Try using Slim Sandwich(link in my sig)
A2Sdext scripts work well on this phone, try one of Cronmod's INT2EXT scripts......remember to partition the SDcard with an EXT partition and backup all the sdcard's contents before doing so

Thanks.
Yeah i understand that most older phones have a lot of new jb ports, but in most cases the older gb roms are much more stable.
I'll try this rom out.
Thanks again
