Apparently this phone doesn't allow you to route all notifications through Bluetooth alone: it always sends it through the speakers as well. This means at work when my phone is on vibrate, I hear no notifications through my headset.
Any solutions to this? How about CM7?

can i turn the Bluetooth connection notification sound off, with out turning off all notifications. as in car i get a notification beep every 5 mins, and is very annoying when listening to Audible.
i cant see the setting anywhere please help, as i love this Rom, but this could be a deal breaker for me.
Delete the audio file?

Hi, Sorry for bringing up an old topic, but I found a way to disable the notification sound when you connect an headset with bluetooth.
Parameter, cyanogenMod, sound, then uncheck Notifications priority (worked for me).
I work in a quiet office, and listen to Google Music over my bluetooth headset (903BackBeat... altec lansing?)
On my old phone (G2 with CM7), rings and notifications and such would sound ONLY over the bluetooth when paired. Nobody was disturbed!
With my T989 (using teamchopstick's CM9), rings and notifications sound BOTH on the speaker and the bluetooth. So, I have to put the phone on silent to not disturb anyone -- music still works, but now i never know when i get messages.
Is there any setting to get CM9 to have the bluetooth sound behavior i want: silent phone, all sounds over bluetooth while paired?
Alternatively, is there any other ICS ROM that will let me do this? At least my G2 had a notification light that i could keep an eye on for messages -- there's no BLN ICS ROM for the T989 yet so I'm stuck!
Thanks all.

arg, i wish -- but vibrate is still too loud! BZZZZZZZT against the table, in my pocket... no good.
I'm currently using a stock based GB rom, Aurora 0.7.
I have a strange issue when listening to music with my headphones connected. I have the phone in silent mode so without the headphones connected the notifications make no sound. However, with the headphones connected and still in silent mode, when I get a notification the sound plays out of the phone speakers. I would expect this to not make a sound at all, or play the notification sound through the headphones.
Is there a way to change this behaviour?
Thanks.
For anyone interested, I gave SoundAbout a try, but this did not work. The best workaround seems to be Hearing Saver. The settings can be updated so there are no notification sounds played at all when the headphones are connected. Both these apps require running a background service.
Hi,
I'm looking for a physical, external phone call indicator. I would like the device to flash light and/or play sound when the phone rings as the standard phone ring is sometimes impossible to hear.
There's plenty of bluetooth speakers that also ring and you can use them as handsfree, but I don't want the handsfree portion - just a device that will notify when there's a call incoming, but will later allow me to have the conversation through the phone itself.
Is that such a device available?
Or maybe there's a way to configure the BT speakers so they only notify of an incoming call, but do not route the call through themselves?
hi
When I connect my Phone (Android 9.0) to a Bluetooth headset, all the sound notification will go to the head set. It's not possible to change this so the phone itself doesn't make a sound notification.
As long as I have the headset in my ear, it's no problem, because then I can hear the sound notification (SMS, email etc). But if I'm at work, I don't want to have the headset in my ear all day.
how can i solve this problem
