yup super easy
It's all the twframework-res.apk. Flash the one you want themed and only that file. Although if it's animated pulldown, you'll also need to delete some extra files framework-res.apk's sub folders.

Im working on a theme, and i've successfully themed the status bar, but i need to know how to change the color of the font on the status bar and in the drop down menu to black. I can't seem to find what lines to edit in the status_bar.xml using my hex editor. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks.
Go check out the vibrant themes section.. I have a sticky for metamorph.. There is a tutorial how to manually change xmls for font color...
I'm going to tell you u couldn't get the clock to change in the vibrant.. i could change the date but not the clock.. We have actually changed everything but the time...
Tmo did something with our framework so it may just be the vibrant but idk...
God luck..any questions pm me

You are looking for lines 502 dateview, 513 mSpnlabel, & 514 mPlmnlabel
Just add the color change line and the color you want it...

I reverted to stock themed MIDNIGHT (still rooted). Is there a way to change just the notification menu (the scroll) because stock looks grey and ugly. I really liked nebula roms notification bar.
Thanks,

You can try this if you want. It's stock framework with the notification menu from GB. It's black/transparent.
Includes:
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
/system/framework/twframework-res.apk
Backup just in case.

Who has been able to decompile and compile CM9 ICS Beta1 SystemUI.APK? My status bar messes up when I compile. It will work but I must get a notification first. Help out if you have done! My theme wont be complete without it!

I have been able to decompile and compile with APK Manager 5. However I did notice that I was no longer able to restore the nandroid without it messing up. So I pulled the modded xmls out of the compiled modded systemui and placed them into the stock systemui then did my png edits and swaps and it works. Maybe that is similiar to the trouble you are having.
I have tried that before but my status bar will work. It will only work after I get a notification. Then every notification after that I it shows slanted black lines next to the notification. In other words it goes black

I'm trying to find out what files I should mod for the status bar. I know for a fact it's an XML inside statusbar.xml of SystemUI, the image itself (status_bar_background.9.png in the drawable-hdpi) and then a smali edit. I just need to know how to edit the smali to get transparent status bar. I'm really trying to get a MIUI theme going for stock TW roms on EL29.
Any help is appreciated.

Unless you modify the touchwiz view you can't go transparent with tw as there is nothing drawn under the launhcer.

It's been done for ek02. I'm hoping there's a way for it on el29. Worst case, it could be enabled on other launchers like go launcher, or adw.

Hello! Is there anyway to change the transparency of the pulldown to transparent? Is it even possible to change it so its blurry? Either one I don't care.
Thanks

what rom are you using ?
if you had Jedi, the pulldown is semi transparent.
Just have to locate the image and edit it. It should be in your system ui, I think

Give this a try. Just make sure you create a backup. So if you dont like it You can just Restore and find some other way.
