I think its from the SGS2 Widgets, signed/modified for our Epics, not having luck intalling it on mine though. Says not installed, copying it into system/app gives no dice either. Its in there but with (no install) next to it. On Deca's deodexed EH17. Any advice?
For some reason It doesn't work on eh17 but it works on all other versions so downgrade if you realy want it

Oh... I'll just wait for the newer leaks, or official gb to see if anyone takes a crack at it again. Thanks for the info.
Try this digital clock. I've been able to run it on EH17.

With all these roms coming out...which one is your daily driver as of now??
Im still on Virtuous Rom 1.0.1
Sense Ginger was amazing when i flashed it
Only thing holding me to Virtuous is CAMCORDER and the MMS size is 3500k. On Sense Ginger it is ony 300k. Therefore getting horrible picture quality over mms.
When all of that is fixed, ill be switching to Ginger.
On my t-mobile G2, I have tried ginger villian, virtuous, sense ginger and CM7RC2. Not sure why I came back to CM7 but if was fun playing with all of them, and I made backups of all if I get the urge to play around.
Next on my list is a larger sdcard, so I can have more backups and ROMs

I just got a G2 and was wondering if anyone could recommend a rom. I don't know how to root it or flash a rom or get into recovery on this phone any help would be appreciated.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Most everyone will tell you to try each ROM, which is what I have done. As far as rooting, read the wiki and use the rage/gfree (that is what I used). Also buy the rom manager and make backups. Also copy the backups off (once in a while) to another machine. This way if you hose up your sdcard (which I have done), you can get your backups back.
Good luck
I'll try these and try to get it rooted thx.

I know this is a relates topic, but xda search on my phone isn't very good. If someone or tell me or link me to get July on myn 2.2 working, that would be awesome. I have I had a persistent white screen issue, gave up, and then downloaded the newest flash because I just gave up.
Thanks

Did you intend to say hulu? But you didn't catch your keyboard auto correcting ya to July?
If hulu is what you're referring to, then you don't want the most updated flash player. I havent used hulu in a while, so I'm not sure if it's changed...but when I did use it on Myn's, the hulu download that he provided came with a hacked version of the flash player. The hulu app needed that version to work. All I needed to do was flash Myn's hulu zip, and it would install the hulu .apk and the hacked flashplayer that it needed to work. Then when I started hulu, it would come up to a while screen with an hour glass. I'd have to tap the hour glass, then it would go white for a minute or two, and then it would start playing. It took a minute for things to start playing, but it'd work pretty good if i had a good connection.
Ah, hulu would make sense...lol

Wtf HTC, hulu should be in the dictionary. Thanks correcting me, ill fix that tomorrow on the computer. I did flash myns hulu app, but it stayed white for probably a half hour before I gave up.

hmm. Are you sure that flash didn't auto update itself? Mine did that before, the little box was checked to allow it to auto update, and I had to go to manage applications and hit 'unintall updates', and then it worked. I'm not sure though, this was months ago when hulu was first available for the Evo. Maybe things have changed since then, and the methods are different. I just know that before, you needed the hacked version of flash, to trick the hulu app into thinking it was playing on Windows. Maybe do a search for that hacked flash player? I'll take a look for ya when i can.
Use Titanium to Wipe data for the Flash you installed, then use it to uninstall (maybe back it up first).
Then install this flash and the Hulu apk (attached) from your sd card.
If flash isn't uninstalling properly (you will know b/c attached Flash won't install), might have to reinstall from the market and erase it a couple times to get it to fully uninstall.
^Will this work on CM7?
Not sure if this is the same flash file, but it coupled with the hulu apk you posted right above me works flawlessly.

not sure about the apk, but i use that edited flash for every GB rom, then change the browser setttings using the about:debug go /settings/ua string/ desktop
I THINK it works on CM7, although I don't actually use Hulu on my phone anymore. I might try to set it up later since I am on CM7 though.
Alright, Im a bit of a noob, and I don't know how to wipe data and uninstall in titanium

What are the requirements? I am on RandomRom and Geonicide kernel. I get the log in screen for netflix but as soon as I enter my usernme and try to log in it closes the app.
You need to be on EE03 or EF02 (Gingerbread) for it to work at all. I'm getting good everything from EF02Plus if you wanna mae th switch.

You may have the modem, but make sure you are also running the gingerbread rom EF02. If not you will need to flash it with oden like you did with the modem.
i cant get sprint tv to update correctly when upgrade to GingerBread. when it try to update it get this error. im running Clean GB.
Download failed-1java.io.FileNotFoundException:/fs/shared/csites.tar (no such file or directory)
any fix?
Sprint tv is not in cleangb. If you look through the dev thread, I *think* toad linked some of the sprint apps. Might be wrong though...maybe touchwiz or wigets is what I'm thinking bout.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Ya Sprint TV did not come with cleanGB. My kids like it so I was able to get the .apk from another person's phone that was still stock and it works fine on it. I searched the web and the market and could not find an app for it. If you need it let me know, I am still new to all of this but maybe I can send you the .apk I have of it some how.
Good Luck

Newest sprint tv app... delete the one from system/app and then install this as a regular app... no need to push to system/app

Just to give a shout to EPEK.WARE and their awesome GPS Doctor app on the market. I have not been able to get a GPS fix on any of the new ICS roms and found this program tonight. Some of the reviews stated that it did or did not work for them but for $1.99 thought i'd give it a go.
To my surprise I went from 1 or 2 sat's in view but not in use to 8+ and all being used! Just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone tired of not getting a GPS lock.

I tried to upload a screen shot but it says its the wrong file extension so I anyone can tell me how to fix that i'll post the pic of the 9 sat's in view and in use. Thanks

A bit late in the reply, but yeah I flashed the FC22 modem (on Blu Kuban Rom btw), updated my PRL and I'm still getting the dreaded "Waiting for location" message when trying to use the Google Maps Navigation app. I'll try the other modems & see if that works.
If anyone cares to try it, this has been around for a while I just made it flashable.
It should work with ICS and GB.
Here is the original thread if anyone wants to reference it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1381666
Let us know if it works for you. Thanks - TD
Edit: This does not replace anything BTW. It adds a file to one of the system folders. If you want to know exactly what & where, read through the thread I posted above.
That did it. I don't use GPS much (if ever), but it always bugged me that I couldn't get it to work. Thanks.

Thank you. I've used up my thanks for the day, but I'll catch you later.
Very cool guys. Glad it works for you! That's why were here after all.
Bump!
See post #9 for the fix. I know this worked wonders for GB and ICS.
Hope it also works for you folks having issues with JB.
365 downloads and only 3 thanks. Bummer.
Hey TD can I just push this into my /system/lib/hw and set permissions?
On Kobridge's DeOdexed FL16
I have a gps.exynos4.so there already don't know if they conflict or not.
And since my last JB upgrade (from FL04 to FL16) my GPS has gone to sh^t. And I've tried just about everything already. Could be hardware but hoping just the same.

For JB flash the one I attached.
Hey LB. This just adds a new file and doesn't replace anything. Jellybean is real weird about setting permissions sometimes on flashed files so this zip sets the permissions for you (only difference is permissions are set with this one).
Oh, and let us know how it goes.
Edit: BTW, I'm not having issues but I flashed it anyway and had GPS lock before I even stepped outside the front door.
I'll do it now.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Here's hoping...
Well still didn't get any GPS app to lock. Google maps works but that always had, though poorly and loses connections if navigating.
On the plus side (at least for now anyways) any GPS app I open (FasterGPS, GPS Status & Toolbox etc.) will actually close and stop searching.
Previously if I installed these and tried to get a location - even just on google maps they would launch in the backround (whether I opened maps or Facebook) and I'd get the 'trying to aquire gps location' thingy running even after closing the app(s).
And the only way to stop that is either go to App Info and force close the System UI or reboot. Turning off GPS and/or all location services does nothing once the search had started.
I guess it's getting down to hardware. Kind of really p.o.'d Got rid of my last phone becuase the GPS stopped working. I guess I'm one of the few who use the snot out of it. I moved to a new area a few years ago and don't know where jack is. And nothing is logically laid out here either.
Thanks again. I'll have to start considering other options. :/
help please
running JB 4.1.2 GB08 google nav is unable to lock on to gps unless I reboot my phone then it will work normal until I use nav again at which point says searching for GPS , any idea on how to fix this
Try updating to GB27 modem, updating PRL and profile. I had issues with GB08 too. Also, try Comadose tweaks Goddly put together. It's in the dev forum. It has a jb gps lock tweak. Good luck!
