I want to start modifying/making boot animations working for us on GB leaks... I know where the files are, as well as the formats. Just wondering if anyone else has given this a shot.
Boot animations (custom) work on all my plus kernels. Though since gb I have dsabled the stock animations.

I'm on the 2.3.3 leak, and we don't have the lock animation that gingerbread has. However AOSP can get it. Why can't we have a flashable one for Sense?

I have my animations to show all. I get the screen slide effect when I press the back button, but no tv animation when I lock

I only briefly had the stock gingerbread leak, but all of the "GingerSense" roms that I have used have had the CRT shut off/turn on animation
Like the previous person said, the TV screen on/off feature is present in the gingersense roms. I've run Optimized Gingersense as well as Gingersense Remix betas since day one of the leak and each iteration has that lockscreen on/off feature.

No, the OP is right, it's absent in the stock leak with sense 1.0.
Not surprising, I don't think its included in the official updates. Tried the gingerbread leak on my Droid 2 when I had it and had to flash a different zip to get the animation. Although it was just screen off, I noticed on the kingdom port at least its screen off and on. I think they should just merge it into all 2.3 builds.

well..its has to be added in by the creator of the rom....its fairly simple even though i can't find that darn surfaceflinger.cpp file in services.jar
Is it possible to get the vanilla Android animations and fades implemented into sense? I know there are launchers that have it but I like sense. Thanks

Get the app called Anim Mod on the marke and click stock from thr animation list and there you go.

I am running a 2.3.4 Sense 1.0 Rom and I am wondering which files need to be edited to get the CRT screen off animation working. Figured out how to customize my own transition animations just not able to find which .XML files.control the screen off animation.
Also if anyone has anyone knows.how to get optical trackpad wake to work on Sense 1.0 it would be greatly appreciated.

for almost all the Galaxys Samsung likes to remove that.. not sure why, i think it takes that hint of "wow" away from the phone.
I know for sure the CM9 rom's have it, and there are some other roms out there that will add it.
I know right now that CM10 does NOT have it, but i am sure that will come in time.
CM9 is the way to go, its like living on the edge with a saftey net .. (stable and better then stock)

I know DietICS has this feature and KyanRom has it as an apk add on. I'm not sure if winam has a flashable apk or if there is a universal apk you could use. I personally have Kyan and love the CRT off animation. It brings something unique to the phone when you shut it off, rather than a default delayed screen flicker.
It worked in LG1 and it is flickering in LH1. So I skipped adding it.

All the guides Ive seen required decompiling system.apk and modifying the services file. I on the other hand have no wish to install a custom rom or custom recovery just stock rooted with crt off. I saw on another thread someone mentiong a flashable zip for kyanROM, anybody confirm that it works on stock? Especially the Rogers LAL1. Thanks
