[Req] TV Stream App - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I used to be able to watch ESPN on Sprint TV which was great during basketball season. Now it updated and is no longer free. I tried UStream and all I get is a black picture. This sucks, I usually have a couple of hours at work that I can watch tv and now I can't watch anything live. HBO. And Cinemax apps are great for killing a couple hours but I'd love to be watching football right now. Any suggestions or ideas?

It is possible with the PlayOn app. It's the most basic controls like play pause and there is a seek bar that doesn't work well but I have successfully watched a show with it. PlayOn transcodes the video and streams it to your device. The downfalls are that it costs $40 for a year and $20 every year after or $80 for a lifetime and your computer has to be on and running PlayOn for it to work. There is a free 2 week trial though. http://www.playon.tv/playon

I have a dish network receiver with sling built in, so I just use the dish app to watch mine. Works for live or recorded tv and its no extra cost.

Using your s3 with Google tv?

I have the vizio co-star, (Google tv) and was watching a YouTube video on my phone and saw a weird button. I pressed it, and bam, the video started playing on my tv. I then found there are apps to control the co-star with my phone as a remote. Anyone else have Google tv? Is there anything else you can stream to it? I tried to share my own videos I recorded on my phone, but can't get it to stream. Amy other cool things you can do with it?

Pop-Up Video Help

I'm trying to watch a movie that I bought in the media hub and it isn't giving me the option to use pop up video. Why isn't it working? If works when I watch movies trailers but not for my downloaded content. I purchased the movies back 2 years ago when I had the infuse 4g but from what I've read that doesn't make any difference. Please help me. Thanks.

Mirror gallery pictures and videos to t.v. through xbox

So I watching espn on my xbox and going through the pictures on my phone. There was a button at the top of the screen that said "change player" that I had never seen before, so I hit it. Boom. All of a sudden my pictures were on my t.v. I tried it with some videos and they played smoothly too. Audio and video. Anyone else try this before or even know it was a feature?

Yup. I found this when i had the S3. I download movies to my phone instead of trying to use the Hub, never works rooted anyways. You can stream thru a PS3 but theres a lil more work involved with settings and what not. Love the feature. Enjoy!

I'm glad I wasn't watching any porn when I discovered it. my 4 year old daughter was watching a movie on my xbox and I was looking at some videos I shot that day, saw the button and of course pressed it and boom there it was on my tv hehe. I was like oh that is cool. And my wife goes, you just wanted to show that off! But I really didn't know haha.

It's basic DLNA capability built into pretty every phone now. Different companies like calling it different things. Microsoft calls it Play-to for example.
I've been using it with my receivers for years now.
The only problem I have is the Note has issued controlling playback on other devices (play and pause don't work properly).

A few months ago, Amazon had the app iMediaShare for free and it has quickly become one of my favorite apps. It will find all available devices that your phone can stream to. In fact, I only have an xbox hooked up to my projector. It is a media extender for my htpc and then I just download movies to my phone and play them from the xbox through dlna.
