Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Im running stock 2.3.4 rooted
And im not looking forward on using a custom rom cuz they drain battery fast
Sent from my G2 using XDA
Not 100% sure - but I believe trackpad wake cannot be obtained until we get the kernel source for the 2.3.4 update from htc. I think we have the kernel source now, but no dev has utilized it yet.
Oh ok thanks for the reply!

Thanks to football for the leak, and thanks to dsixda for his kitchen.
This is just the leak above rooted and deodexed and with busybox parts. The new radio is not included, so if you want the radio flash it separately or use this thread by LBO_KUSH. I just wanted to get one out that didn't include the new radio for those those that are interested.
There will be no support or changes for this ROM. I did nothing other than root and deodex it.
Flash in recovery after fully wiping data, caches, dalvik and formatting system.

If anyone is wondering, faux's latest gb sense kernel works great with this rom. Been running it since last night.

Downloading now, the curiosity is killing me even though it's been explained what it's like and that it's not that big of a change...haha. Thanks!

i'm using the new radio, and honestly i can't tell any difference.. there are times that my data speed is way fast, but not consistent..
How do you like the new swipe? Lastly, is it really 2.3.4? Thanks.

Not everyone wants to use the new radio so those people can try this one instead, newer isn't always better. Some are having mixed feelings about the new radio, check the radio thread at the top.

This runs so fast and battery life has been great. Thanks!

You can still switch ROMs after.flashing this right? No risk of losing root?

Correct. You will not lose root, this is the same as flashing any other custom ROM.
So far so good with me. New swype is great, all my apps would download (but they didn't automatically), no lag, runs snappy, and the transparent lockscreen mod works!
Thanks again for modding this, I've always liked stock for our phones and now I have a solid fight between this and Virtuous Unity for my DD.

Hey guys I looked and couldn't find anything but I am hoping someone could help me out or point me in the right direction. I am using randomrom 2.2 phoenix and want the nexus crt power down screen like other roms have. Iss this possible? I was reading there is an app for it you can put a widgeton the screen for but I just wanted one for the power button. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Its impossible in froyo as the right hardware acceleration isn't there but is easily implemented on any 2.3 leak, now screen on animation is another story.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Thanks a lot for that one. I will try it on my next rom test. I was on randomrom 2.3 hawk for a while, but I want to wait for an official gingerbread, I seem to have problems with leaks on this phone. Thanks again

Cause im on it and i have the crt off ani
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
There are two random roms. One is 2.2 phoenix and the other is 2.3 hawk (gb leak). I am hoping to get an official release soon.

Use Screen off and lock. Its a temporary solution imo

Hey guys, you know I used prime a while back and I wanted to give it another go and I've really lost touch with how much it's changed since then. So my question is do any of you guys have a build newer than r28 for it?

This doesn't directly answer your question but that rom turned into Warm TwoPointThree so you may want to download that IF you haven't already.

If it happens at all, it won't be for a bit ... there isn't even a fully functional ICS yet for our device.
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda app-developers app
The only thing not functioning for ICS is 720p camcorder recording.
There are very functional JB roms for the Vision, check the Andromadus Test Builds thread by Flinny.

Yeah, im using it as dd since a few weeks, it's over all very stable and fast. It's a much bigger thing than just a test build, go for it

Nothing special. Wiped in CW, flashed ROM and gapps.
Went back to my ICS backup though. Hard to give up tablet mode and haven't gotten around to setting it up with JB.
What was the number of the build that you flashed? Experience might vary between them

umm hi
i wanna buy this tablet for my girlfriend
but before handing it over i want to give it a touch
which kernel,rom,apps do you suggest?
should i root it?should i change rom or something?
and i also want to buy an stylus,is it ok?any suggestion there?
thank you for your time my good friends

and i am obviously not familiar with any kind of lg product or kernel or anything
i have a rooted note on a costume rom ( if you wanna know about my experience)
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Its pretty easy to root the thing. Here is what i would do:
Root
Install twrp 2.7 recovery
make a backup so you have it exactly like it came out of the box other than root.
Then you have about 3 choices for roms
Mahdi-Rom 2.5 4.4
LRS G Pad][v1.2.0 4.2.2 +BOB kernel
CYANOGENMOD 11 LINARO/SABERMOD 4.4
Ive used all 3 and settled on LINARO/SABERMOD. It seemed the easiest to setup, didnt have a huge amount of stuff installed (i cant use/stand pie controls) and it was easy to setup for tap on/off.
what is the point in changing the rom?i mean the installed one has a problem?
other than that what apps do you suggest,or maybe a launcher!
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Honestly unless she is tech savy keep it stock I have the lg g2 and gpad both are stock but for one reason only everything works and I get great battery life out of them I do use go next launcher 3d on the phone for a launcher but stock launcher on tablet because I can't find one that I like better

No need for a custom rom, the stock one is fine. I would root it and maybe install a custom recovery, but that's completely optional, plus adding a custom recovery has the disadvantage that it complicates things when you want to do an OTA update.
Some people prefer an alternate launcher, e.g. Nova.
But really, you don't need to do anything but add some apps.

Hello..
First let me say, any standard stylus will do just fine.. I would pick one that is your Girlfriends Favorite Color.. :good:
Personally.. If I were in your position knowing what I know about "Stock ROM's" vs "What's Available" to give her tablet *A Touch*..
The only Custom ROM I would install for her is the Mahdi-ROM.. It's 100% Stable ( The Most Important Thing ) and it's very Fluid and Fast.
Other than that, I would leave it completely stock since the Official 4.4.2 KitKat Update will most likely arrive in the next 60 days.
