Does anybody have a data backup of plants vs. zombies they could let me have a copy of?
I'd prefer if it was right after the first boss fight where you unlock all essential plants because I've played up until that point twice already and lost my save files. I don't want to go through it again.
So just one completed adventure mode or somewhere around that point if possible. I'd really appreciate it thanks.
Just play the game and be more careful next time.....
Just seeing if anyone had a backup... I guess I'l just have to replay then. Case closed.

Had the same issue, can't even move the game to or from SD without losing save data. Ended up just removing the game after losing several saves.

Hello all,
I'm new to ANdroid coming from a Nokia n900 and I have a couple Questions before I Hard reset my phone. First of all, before ppl start to ask, I'm Hard resetting my Evo 4g because after messing around with it and installing/Uninstalling about 100 apps it's starting to bug out on me (freezes, slows down, force quit lots of apps). So I decided to give it a Hard reset.
I just wanted to know a couple things first:
-Is the Best way to completely Hard reset back to sprint stock rom is to use the "Hold Volume down Key at reboot" method??
-Do I have to back up my app brought from Android market and if so how?
-Will my Purchased Gameloft (from gameloft web store) Games still install/worked after I hard reset? Any Device not recognize problems to be expected?
-How do I back up my saved game files for games like NOVA, Zenonia, HomeRun Battle, and Raging Thunder 2? Where are they stored?
-The contact on my phone are more updated then the ones on Google. How do I export these out to my google/gmail account?
-Is there any way to Save/export my text messages?
-Anything thing else I might need to backup I didn't mention?
I know its a lot, but then again this is a big community. Hopefully a couple of you guys can answer a couple and recommend the best way to do these things.
Experience is what I'm lacking here.
Thanks
60 Views and no replies... really?
Anyone have anything?
It would be greatly appreciated.
I may be able to answer some questions, though I am relatively new to Android OS as well.
1. Yes, the best way to hard reset your phone to a stock ROM is to reboot with the DN Vol button.
2. Not sure
3. Not a clue
4. Each app likely has it's own method of storage, you will have to poke around the app or email the developer
5. If you sync your contacts/email/calendar via a Google account, then the two should be identical. If they are not, something is wrong with your synching. Check the synch frequency on your EVO, and ensure your contacts are synching with the right acount, in case you have more than one on your EVO.
6. Yes, there are plenty of apps for that, though I myself don't use them. Search in the marketplace, or poke around these forums.
7. Backup any photos, videos, etc. to you SD card.
If your phone is running slow, you might want to check to see how many apps are running simultaneously. DL a good task manager/killer, like Advanced Task Killer.

Thanks khov07.
I have Task killer running Aggressively on Auto Kill, but that's not the problem. I'm having to force quit a ton of apps and my browser keeps crashing. And even after clearing all app caches my phone overall is still running sluggish. I'm guessing one of my many apps might have done something.
I just synced all my contacts with HTC sync and backed up my SMS with a app from the market.
Also I just emailed all the developers for the games Im trying to save, thanks for the tip.
I'm still trying to figure out question #2 & 3.
-Do I have to back up my app brought from Android market and if so how?
If you're asking if you have to repurchase them, the answer is no. Your purchased apps are tied to your email. You'll be able to reinstall them.
-Will my Purchased Gameloft (from gameloft web store) Games still install/worked after I hard reset? Any Device not recognize problems to be expected?
I would ask gameloft that. I don't have any of their games

Thanks for the info.
Great its rebooting now!
OK...I'm gonna having hard reset this thing tonight with out backing up my save game files
My evo is now randomly just rebooting. When press call on the phone app or start my default browser it sometimes just reboots.
This sucks. Any one else having these problem??
What rom were you using?
stock sprint rom
It could be one of your apps causing it to reboot.
Use adb to grab a log to see what could be causing it.
adb logcat V > c:\*whatever_folder*\log.txt

Here's a good read You're gonna wanna how to use adb if you wanna root and flash other roms.
random reboots, on androidforums.com it has been determined that the random rebooting issue when using the stock rom is caused by unchecking the following option...
from a home screen press the following: menu button --> settings --> wireless & networks --> mobile network
watch out for that one...
Hi can anyone help me for some reason I've lost all my data for where's my water I had completed the game with all achievements and ducks but now there gone, can anyone upload there save data as I don't want to go through all the levels again it doesn't matter if you haven't completed the game along as I don't have to start from zero thx in advanced
Hi, Ive done my share of ROM switching recently and one problem i have is with restoring in-app downloads on a new ROM. Games like Shadowgun keep asking me to redownload the inapp game files 250 even though i had done that on another ROM and im sure the file is still saved somewhere on my sd because i never removed it. I Dont want to redownload because i pay a lot for the extra gb i download from my home connection.
another game, real racing asks me to buy the app even though i had done so before on the absolution rom. I pressed the buy game button from the app to see what will happen and it just linked to a page in the playstore that eventually told me what i already knew ... that i had already bought the app. so i go back to the game hoping the issue is solved and instead i still can not continue the game because it thinks i have to buy it. so. .. I'm stuck. .. can't play without buying and can't buy it again ( not saying that i want to or should have to) because it says i already bought it :s

Hey!
I have my newly imported Nexus 7 from New Jersey and I'm having some issues when it comes to gaming. Thing is, I'm new to Android as well as tablets. But being a hardcore PC gamer, I did my homework and found the most elite racing games before I ordered my tab. Turns out, Real Racing 3 and GT Racing 2 are the best there is out there, atm. So when I received my tab, I tried downloading RR3. Now lets look at the REAL problem- I have a ****ty internet. No, really. It goes out like 10 times a day. Then I have this speed issue. I pay for a 512 kbps speed but get only 50. Why don't you change it then, you say? I live in a Central Govt. colony and all internet providers are forbidden to set foot inside the colony gate. Failure in complying with the rules will result in their licenses getting cancelled (whoa!). So I have to live with what the central Govt. provides me with.
Anyways, so I have registered here just to post this topic. Since RR3 took centuries to download, I had to uninstall it. Then, I tried GTR2 and found out that downloading it from Playstore doesn't give you resumable download facility if your internet connection dies for even a sec. Fed up, I decided to give sideloading a try. Downloaded RR3 cache via PC from a website and put it in android/data/. The file was well over 1GB but running the app shows it has downloaded only 356 MB and still needs to an extra 711 MB. Downloaded GTR2's cache and put it in obb folder. It starts up and then crashes right away saying "Unfortunately GT Racing 2 has stopped". I'm so embarrassed and kinda screwed right now. I bought N7 only to find out I can't play games on it. I bought it solely for gaming when I'm on the move and now I can't seem to download these huge data files or the game just simply refuses to run. I have got Internet Download Manager on PC so I have downloaded game caches from third party websites without a problem but as you can see, even those efforts were futile. Are there any hopes for this situation? Anyone here knowing a workaround? Suggestions are more than welcome.
Tether off your cell phone, if you can't, go find a starbucks, mcdonalds, library, or some other public wifi and download what you need there, can't be any worse than what you have now.

I tried that just one time. When I was trying to download RR3 from the tab itself. Went to a McDonalds and switched on the wi-fi. Sat there stuffing burgers for an hour or so and the bar didn't progress an inch. It was then when I started suspecting that there was some problem with EA's download manager itself.
Can anyone be generous enough to upload their working GT Racing 2's cache?
If you can download to a PC, why not install Bluestacks on it which will give you an Android emulator. You can then sideload Google Play and install the files on the PC and copy them to the Nexus from there....
Thats all in theory mind you as whilst I have used Bluestacks,. it was only to grab apks and not any extra data but I can;t see why it wouldn't work....
If you pay for 512kbps, your speed is 64kBps since 1byte=8bits, so your speed 50kBps is about 15% less than what you are paying for and pick your landline reciever and keep it aside, this might improve internet strength if you are on mtnl, and you have to download the right data, you might be downloading different version (for other screen resolution or GPU)
This is by far my favorite game, I came from a S3, which the game worked fine. I am able to download the game, but when it launches it requires another file, this is where the problem is, it attempts to load, then after a few seconds, download error 101. Not much can be found on google, other then other people with the issue, but no fixes that I could find.
Any help would be great, I did try to change the DPI in the build.prop to 360, that did not help, so I went back to the stock 640.
Thanks,
Eric
Same issue here on a 3f connection. I haven't tried on wifi though.
I have tried wifi, 3g and 4g LTE, all same result. I clear the data, it goes to the download screen again, then same error.
Same issue on wifi. Maybe the servers are down?

OK the servers aren't down. I just downloaded the game on my Note pro 12.2. So it's something else.
I don't have the game. But I did find this thread. There are few suggestions that may be fruitful for you: Possible help
My other suggestion, if you have another Android device, I would install the game on it, and create a backup of it; there are several apps you can download to do this. Once you have the backup, you can side load the app. It should be noted that once the app is installed, there isn't another download that must be done with you initially start the application such with the GTA games. I had to do this with GTAVC on the Note II.

Thanks for the link but our issue is when we run the game and the game tries to download it's game files. I think it tires to connect to the ea servers to download. I could be wrong.
If you do Google search there are more people with this issue but on different devices.
Yeah I'm getting this too, and and error with dead space. Dead space doesn't even come up in the play store. Like why block the most powerful flagship phone?

I wonder if it's having an issue verifying you actually purchased the game. I know GTASA does a purchase check before letting one download the addition game files. I tried to play that game without purchasing and it got an error; not that error you got, but about being unable to verify purchase.
That's really odd about Dead Space. I think I had the same issue on the Note II. I don't recall if I tried side loading it.
I don't know what it is. Won't download on my tablet but would on my phone. Wifi connection on both

There is an update for nba jam for the note 4. I downloaded it and it is now letting me download the the extra data.
wouldn't do gthe additional download. Did the update, and no more error and downloaded the additions files. Appears to be working. I didn't try playing, but the game did load.
I updated in the last couple of days and at first it asked me to download additional data, and as my internet is down at home for the moment I opted out.
Today when I used and open Wifi to download the data, I get the error 1010...
I'm on a Nexus 5 though, but I couldn't find a specific thread for this for my own phone.
Works now.
