Does anyone have experience modifying the battery icon .png files? I've been messing around with the default battery icons to add % to them (just the basic 5%,10%,...,90%,95%). I add them back to framework-res.apk and all is well, they show up fine, but the color of the battery background seems to be just a tad off now, like it's a richer (deeper) green than the charging battery color or network bar color. You can only notice when looking at them side by side on the phone. No color difference shows up on the computer. I'm not editing any colors at all, simply adding the numbers and replacing the stock files.
Running CM7 nightly #166.
Any ideas? TIA.
battery color is perfect when charging (didn't edit those)

battery color is deeper green showing % (my edited icon)
Okay, restored my backup from before I edited these.
Look at the battery color in stock CM7. It matches the other colors next to it.

Ok, so I was messing around with UI Tweak and changed my window background color to match the HTC default black theme. Got everything the way I liked it, was very smooth looking , and then noticed a little issue. The stupid signal strength bars are tied in with the window background. The antena part stayed white while the 5 bars changed to the charcoal color of background for my Programs and Settings etc. menus. Is there a way to just change the color of the antena strength without affecting my new found love of a complete theme?
Anyone?

No thoughts? Here is a screen capture to see what I am talking about:

If I make my background darker I can't see my signal bars. Help.
aloright so im having some problems with editing my framework-res.apk file. I flashed the new notification power control widget and wanted to add my own batter icon and change the widget to be clear along with changing the icons. everything i did works perfectly right now but im getting the circle spinner when i try to change the volume, a white bar at the top of apps like k9 and tapatalk, and a force close when i try to open the preferences of launcher pro (not settings that opens fine). im not sure what the problem is but im guessing it has something to do with the xml files i edited to remove the color on the widget bar or the changes made to make my batter icon work. any ideas on what is going on would be very appreciated!
heres what it looks like now:

any themers out there, i'm trying to edit JSChiSurf's notification button mod and i'm making it transparent for the most part. There seem to be dividers between the notifications that aren't in the notification icons in the framework.apk. How can i make these transparent so they fit with the rest of the theme rather than being white? I did try changing the divider_horizontal .9.png images to no avail. Am i missing something?
Thanks in advance!
For clarification, how do i change the color of the horizontal line indicated in the picture here

i'm still looking for this if anyone knows. I have seen themes with it different colors...i guess does anyone know how i can make it black?
You will be looking for a "list-divider" .9 png. I am not quite sure which one it is, if I were you I would compare a a theme that has it as a different color and try and narrow your search that way because there are plenty of list divider type images in framework-res
thanks DJ
I tried changing a few divider files, but to no avail...i'll check out the one you mentioned soon, i must have just missed it
hi all,
i made myself an animation for battery charging, with the images found here in the forum, and wanna share with u guys (as attached with exact frame delays). so if any one intersted in it i will upload the required xml and resources a bit later, and u can adjust the frame delays or replace with other images if u wanted to
notice that it's transparent actually, the black background is just for demo purpose
PS i take no credits for the images except making them into an animation
credits:
- Crysis eVolution for the icons with numbers on it
- the guys who created the rounded framework and the lightening for the animation but i changed it to green (sorry, forgot where i got then. pls tell me if u know)
for the browser icon, i changed it a bit from the stock one as to match the new stock icon style like below
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

Wow browser icon!
EDIT: I am using Purity v4.2 [4.2.1] ROM with the AK Purity Kernel (toro)
I used to use the very nice circular battery mod on 4.1.2 (Verizon_JRO...zip attached). I recently upgraded to 4.2.1 and found the same flashable zip caused the UI to crash. Found a segmented battery indicator that isn't as pretty (baldwin....zip attached) but works with 4.2.1. So I decided to replace the res > drawable-xhdpi icons in baldwin's with the Verizon_JRO's as they used the same names and icon sizes. I replaced all of the "stat_sys_battery" icons in 7zip and saved the file. Flashed it to the phone and it seems to work great except for this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This same behavior happens in baldwin's zip as well. The locks appear under any elements in the expanded status bar and seem to "click" along with the correct icons.
Perhaps another good question is, does anyone just have a 100% working version of this battery mod?
