(Request) Cm7 notification power control - HD2 Android NAND Development

I was hoping there was some kind of way to flash the power controls from cm7 to another rom?

Try this app from the market.
Wrong forum btw...

I have that already it's nothing comparable to cm7 notification toggles thanks

Completely wrong section.
It's not that simple - that notifications are coded somewhere deep in source of Android. It's doable, but someone very experienced in things like that should take a look. Which won't happen.

What section? I will try myself if someone can direct me where to start

On the second thought it may be good place for this thread - it is about developing something after all.

Why don't you try a CM7 ROM- if you want plain CM7, head to the CM7 nightlies thread by AirforcProductions/ Arif-Ali.
I remember seeing a thread discussing adding this feature you are asking for in Sense ROMs in the Android development in the forum home - not able to find it now...

They aren't as stable as my current rom
Sent from my NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.9 cLK

So u tell me nobody is able to compile this?

Have you asked to your ROM Developer this request?
Maybe he can do anything like this appears in the next ROM update.

He said no more add-ons he's keeping his rom aosp

try hyperdroid cm7. probably the most stable cm7 rom out there, ive been using it as a daily for months with no problems
Sent from my HD2 using XDA App

your closest bet is still on CM7
if i am not mistaken, Power Control Plus allows you do to something like that but not exactly like CM7
give it a try

What stability issues did you face with CM7?
I have a custom CM7 build that I did for my self based on CM7 nightly dated 8th August which is identical to official cyanogenmod build for bravo build 157. This ROM is modded with Tytung's cLK kernel and Wifi drivers, blutooth and Wifi files from Tytung's ROM, cLK data wrapper 0.8b4, Tytung's GPS libraries v2.0, Letama's htcleo.acdb, drizztje's libaudio.so v3, Google libraries released on 25th July, Google Talk with Video and Voice, Ad-blocking hosts, Android market v3.0.27, and a few more I can't recollect off-hand.
It needs a 120 MB system partition (because I deleted all the ringtone, wallpapers and themes - never use them) and 5 MB cache, though I use a 150MB system partition, giving me about 35 MB of free space in /system for updates (And I dont have to repartition when I try a new build from someone).
Note the versions of HD2, cLK, CWM and Radio I have in my signature- that is what this build works great on. So if you are a cLK user (or do not mind switching to it), and have a T-Mobile HD2 (I am not sure if apps2SD or data2SD works, never needed them- this build gives me close to 800MB of internal space of which about 550 MB is free after all my apps and mails n stuff).
- The Battery lasts for a day to day-and-a-half with some heavy usage (calls, angry birds, drag racing, reading CNN, BBC and then some more), or more than two days if I keep the usage moderate
- The battery usage at sleep is between 1mA to 4mA on 2G with Wifi, GPS, Trillian (5 accounts), GMail, GTalk and 3 Email accounts
- The phone has never hung or gave me a reason to reboot. I reboot it only to update something or try a new ROM
Somethings that don't work:
- I chose to go with a working LED notification, sacrificing the auto brightness functionality. The brightness of my screen works for me- pretty visible in daylight, and not hurting my eyes in the night
- Even though I tried what Tytung has done to get Ad-hoc Wifi to work, my phones sees ad-hoc networks but does not connect to them. Regular Wifi works great, so does data (GPRS/ EDGE/ 3G/ HSDPA)
- I haven't figured how to get USB tethering to work. Never needed it, never bothered. Wifi tether works fine
- If I have the lock screen (the "slide to unlock") along with a unlocking pattern, the battery drain is considerably higher. If you use a pattern, you have to disable the lock screen (Cyanogenmod settings)
If you are interested let me know, I will upload it somewhere. And, though am a tech-junkie, I have not worked much in Linux, and do not know coding and stuff

Is it compatible with my current setup?

Not sure what you mean, but I would suggest you backup all your apps and their data, do a clean wipe and then restore them. And if you are now on Magldr, you would need to install cLK.

there are two roms with the cm7 power widget but bases on aosp. One is hyperdroid gbx, the other one is ultimate droid. I used hyperdroid gbx for several months before switching to nexus hd2, it's excellent, you should give it a try if the notification bar power widget is important to you.

Both are AOSP. But you would still have to wipe data after backing up with Titanium backup and restore your backup with the new ROM.

Hold that thought- I had a freeze/ reboot when using GPS for about 4 hours straight. Need more testing, not ready for sharing

Thoughtlesskyle's Not So Super Froyo [RLS18] [12/4/2010] Who Invited This Guy!

so here we go 16.2 or as a i like to call it not so super froyo
Original
- Based off Dzo's 10/1 fresh froyo release
- stock theme with the andro green elements thrown in
- newest google apps except maps which can be downloaded from the market
- gmail, and voice search are both now in data which will make for an easy uninstall if they ever need to be updated again
- google maps {brut} is also in data for easy removal
- faux flip clock
- default wallpaper from Myns Warm Builds
- live wallpapers and everything related to them are removed along with the latinIME tutorial to free up some space
- Adwlaucher is present instead of launcher2 (also stored in data for easy replacement with the launcher of your choice)
- l1q1d's shut down script
- android scribble boot animation
- cyanogenmod wallpaper gallery
- put original vending.apk back in to attempt to cure some market hang
- doesnt seem to have the phone call hang issue
- zip align on first boot so give it 5 minutes before use
10/10/2010 update
- removed wirelesstether.apk (can be downloaded from the market) to free even more space since the vogue doesn't use it
- also deleted Quicksearchbox.apk since there is no need for it as there is the themed search box both do the same thing so their is no need to use double the space
- Changed network connection icons so that 2G, G, 3G, and H all have the same look and match the theme
- added new roaming icons and there was a graphical hiccup when it went to roaming
- added transparent Youtube widget
10/15 update
-Finally Have A Wallpaper Gallery of my own Thanks to LostEden over in the G1 Forums
-added The Latest Gmail app instead of needing to be updated from the market
-Added Wireless tether back in to the /system by popular demand
-Added Transparent Calendar widget now all of the widgets except the market are themed
-added newest Version of Car Home
-Removed Protips.apk (the tips to using android widget), it was just a waste of space
- changed the boot animation from the android scribble to one that is easier to tell if its still loading (its a secret to everyone)
-Instead of having a White and Black Full build to download there will now be just the black with an update.tar for the white this is just simply for space savings on the hosting site
10/17 update
- added back the old vending.apk so that all apps show in market
- themed the dialer
RLS 17 10/20
-now based off the 16-10-2010 fresh froyo from n2rjt
-NEW battery indicator now shows a 1% interval for charging thanks Vellowax
- i will post a new white status bar theme when i get some free time, the current one will work but you will lose the battery %
10/22
-removed the 1% battery indicator for the time being so we can have all languages
-added the battery stat program from super froyo in its place
RLS 18!
-built off the newest freshened froyo build (12/4)
-added the hot reboot app (using this app will reboot just the shell, should keep data safer since the kernel doesn't need to reinitialize)
-odex'd the /system for speed, and a little bit of stability (i never had the data corruption issue as i am with the .25 kernel still)
-Major themeing improvement i have picked up since theming my hero
-Volume up and down indicators are green along with download bars
-updated ADWlauncher
-removed HTC keyboard the update attached to scooters thread will work
-new friendly greeting in the set up wizard
-transparent notification tray
-calibrate screen blends better than ever
i think that's about it if there is anything else i will update it, give it a whirl
again all credit goes to the real devs im just a guy who can read and work 7zip
few personal thank you's
- first Jeff (incubus) i cant thank you enough and you are always helpful and without your themeing guide and advice i would be nowhere
- and also all the Dev's who have invested so much time making android work and keeping me happy with my vogue till i got my hero
- cnigro1279 for testing the black theme after i fixed the hang issue
- -Arturo- for finding some graphical hiccups and being an early adopter
- and for everyone who has given me feedback and used my build in general, after being on here and always taking from the community its nice to give something back.
thanks for trying it out in advance
Known Issues:
- on first boot ADW will give problem loading widgets errors, just simply delete them and put whatever widgets you would like they will all work
- usb doesn't always show disconnected from the computer when unplugged (common in other AOSP builds i have used too)
Screenies are fun

its because the original widgets it tries to pull up are the unthemed ones, if you delete all the problem loading widgets things and add new widgets to it they work fine. I pulled the .apk for the launcher from a CM6 nightly so they default to doing that

Changelog:
2.1: check andromadus audacity changelog, also added cm music (new, dsp works with it), FASTER, updated apps, and placed apex launcher in data/app for easy removal and updates
2.0:
Updated to Qcom's ICS Adreno libs
Updated patches for a few things from CM, profiles etc,
Whatever else CM has changed in the mean time.
And obviously everything else I forgot about.
Camera works with a few "issues"
There are 2 5MP options the first one produces complete garbage, the second works find apart from a small line across the bottom, sometimes it's there sometimes's it's green, sometimes it's pink, occasionally it goes away until the next reboot when it's back again.....
Camcorder - yes it works only at one res at the moment though 720x480
Panorama works also.
Had another go at fixing usb tethering as well...
Other bug fixes and patches not mentioned here.

also updated all apps, included a few more scripts, zipaligned etc etc blah blah
1.3
Qcom OMX integrated - SD YouTube fixed, Netflix Fixed
CRT on/off animation fixed (on seems a little funky but hey....)
Custom LED notifications
Switched to Cyanogenmod Volume Wake and Volume music control (old toggles removed)
Fixed the Flashlight power widget
Integrated CM's signal settings (6 bar toggle still works if you have icon's selected)
Lots of Qcom media/display updates.
Switched to using Lord Clockan's kernel, I like it.
Camera updates (is it just me being lucky or do most of the artifacts on pics at 5MP go away after you take a few pictures?)
Loads of other stuff CM changed/fixed/added along the way.
Goo manager included (dark made me do it...)
So much more that I can't remember!
Tweaks included!
Probably other stuff

FAQ:
Q.Why are there visual artefacts in the pictures i take?
A.I don't know the cause, but to fix it change it to VGA quality
Good to hear ya back mate...keep it up
Just on a quick note: Is this something like Virtuous G-lite but then ICS? I just need a fast and clean ICS ROM, and I get the feeling that's what you are doing
Nice. Hope the exams went OK. Will be watching this VERY closely.

Damn it! Now I HAVE to try this!
Oh, and about FM Radio, if you can somehow enable FM Audio in the ROM then it will work using Spirit FM with the qdsp5v2 method. Right now I think that the phone can RECIEVE FM signal but apparently it can't PLAY it.
Oh, and thanks a lot for this!!1

This is ACTUALLY faster than any other ICS ROM out there, cheer!!
So this is based on Andromadus. Hmmh...had things go fuzzy, like random restarts when I played games. Eh, so long I can get really high volume through DSP this is probably a DD.
Running SuperWipe...might have a preliminary report in a couple of hours, hehe.

And the next update SHOULD be much smoother, and will have a few fixes that I missed in v1 enjoy guys

I concur, this is actually pretty fast. Haven't even bothered with overclocking and it's pretty smooth. Had some issues with market but a reboot fixed it...restoring apps now.
Can you define 'optimizations', be more specific?
You say this is based on Andromadus, how is your version better?
Are there graphical glitches in this Rom?

Good to see you back man!
I will definitely be flashing when the next version gets out (i never patch version 1.0, also super slow wifi right now ;P) but let me know if you need anything from me!
Looking forward to this development! Have any ideas for where it's going to be going?
Just flashed it over andromadus a11 and wiped cache (didn't wanna do the backup and restore thing again)
it's working fine until now, definitely feels faster
Ps to all ICS devs: please adjust the bootanimation resolution from HD to WVGA:
in bootanimation.zip, open up desc.txt and adjust the following:
720 1280 24
p 0 0 part0
to
480 800 24
p 0 0 part0
plz tell me I don't have to fully wipe again for the 1.1 update?! this ROM is fasttttttttt

Initial Release
Looks nice, just a few questions:
You state the microphone doesn't work. Can I still make calls so that other people hear me, or doesn't it work at all?
If you resize say, the gmail widget, can you span it to the entire screen? Or just a part of it?
You say you used the Virtuous Overclocking Daemon. What speeds are you using?
If you find a bug, report it in the thread. I'll try to resolve it as soon as possible.

Call works, but you can't use voice search or voice recorder.
Gmail widget doesn't seems to span over the entire screen.
Use an app like OC/UV beater and configure the cloak speed you want for yourself.
(not in a rude way) what's different between this and mine?

It's a port of HTC_Phone rom from desire HD Section with device specific changes made by me.
I'm going to introduce mods soon to the rom, but first I wanted to introduce a stable build to the users.

Hopefully quarx or another crafty Defy dev pulls a rabbit out of a hat soon with a moto audio library.
Awesome. :highfive: Did you build from Quarx's Defy sources and added in the Defy Common changes? Just curious, I've thought about doing that but I'm busy with Salad Bar and soon Paranoid.
Oh, and long time no see -- good to see you're still around
Thanks a lot aleeyt! Are you going to be taking over the JB Bravo port from Quarx for good?

This is a separate version for Bravo. While there are no changes in the repositories, but I think soon they update. The Quarx now little time, so I will be engaged in development under Bravo, of course not without his help so far, but all the same separately. I think the ports for Bravo will no longer be the personal own builds.
Sound now works
All thanks for help to maniac103 and Quarx.

I've been doing the same with ICS and haven't had any problems. So far, my biggest issue is having to revert the camera libs after pulls and merges with Epsylon's repo.
Thank god our platforms are so similar, for the most part, all I've had to do was change Jordan to Kobe and mb525 to mb520; well there's a bit more than that, but you've messed with the source so ya know what I mean.
You're quick! I'll flash 7/18 and give some feedback over the next couple hours
wow quarx server is overloaded giving internal service error
and downloading from aleeyt's server, i'm sitting pretty at 1 hour till flash

Flashing over CM9 got me stuck at the (new) boot animation.
Also, when I go into recovery there's a new error at the bottom: Error: cp not found!

I didn't have that problem. I never wipe data, but do wipe cache+dalvik both before and after flashing any new rom...but you probably already wiped.
Quarx is currently fixing mp3 issues and apps2sd.
quick changelog:
camera, video, pano, chrome work (side note: can't make swipe to delete picture work, but the camera to gallery feature works great)
FC accesing settings->system
it's pretty fast, I would say maybe the same or a tad bit faster than the last ICS build
new 'safe headset volume' option in sound settings, oh and sound works
developer options has to be turned on (switch on top right corner of screen) in settings
CM performance options, and defy parts now included
no CM power widgets yet obviously or custom statusbar options
no CRT screen-off animation, even though option available in display settings
no boosted, smartass governors or sio scheduler obviously
weather, calendar on lockscreen work
google now works (with voice!) but kind of laggy
new HWA settings app so you can choose apps to blacklist
@Aleeyt
Do you have a github repo? I checked your old one and it didn't have a trace of JB on it. Only asking cause I can't get the compile to start when using Quarx's repos as a base, nothing changed; the Defy(+) compiles just fine.
I'd post my terminal output, but I closed that window a few hours ago and didn't plan on asking for help in the matter. It tells me that it can't find cm.mk at device/*/kobe and that file is clearly there...Perhaps I'll go over Quarx's commit history and find what he changed and add that in to my local JB repo (haven't pushed anything to github yet and won't until I get somewhere either).

I do everything locally. I have not updated the repo, as yet not understood how to do it) Once the sorting out, update the necessary.

I hear that....I'm still trying to get all that figured out. My hardest part is remembering to initialize my local repo before doing changes.
New build available.
a lot of people, including myself, have been giving credit to Quarx and the other defy devs for the breakneck speed of development for the defy and our device...and rightly so.
but aleeyt, you really have been the one that got everything started for the bravo in the first place, by taking the initiative to get our device to Quarx. Otherwise, we would've probably been stuck with miui and cm7 defy ports like before.
Thanks a lot man.
July 19 changelog:
no more FC on Settings--> system, however none of the options really work (i.e. battery percentage, power widgets on notification bar, etc.)
mp3 codec, youtube and endomondo issues, apps2sd fixed
notification LED and sound present, no charging LED yet
the build is definitely worthy of being a daily driver
if you're using the inverted gapps link I posted earlier, the inverted google now is pretty glitchy, here's the same zip with the non-inverted velvet that works fine: http://www.sendspace.com/file/qf6f5e
Thanks for keeping Bravo right up there with the bleeding edge, aleeyt We're enjoying these daily ports!
