Stopped in my local VZW (Mays Landing, NJ) today to pick up an extra battery and the battery only charger. There is an unadvertised special right now:
HTC6400BNC Battery-only charger and HTC6400BAT1 standard battery for $25! Hope some of you can jump on this one!
Thanks for the info. Probably swing by a Verizon store tomorrow and check this out here in San Diego, CA

now if only the extended battery was $25.
i already have a stand alone battery charger and 4 extra batteries
Questiuon for you all... I just bought the standalone charger: HTC6400BNC
When I plug it in, the light is green, when I put a battery the light is green, how the heck do I know if it is doing anything?
It's red when charging and green when fully charged or it has no battery in it.

Kinda what I thought but the battery I put in I could have sworn was at 80% as a test, and showed green. Maybe m Batt Stats are messed up.
For example I just put it in the phone it booted up to 90%>..

Just wondering if anybody has purchased this? I just did because it was $24.99 lol and because there seems to be good reviews on the Evo battery of the same power. Im looking for some sort of advice to conditioning it specifically for the Epic. I have an Evo guide , but not sure if its the same deal.
Hey Im actually going to purchase it too... Same power as the $50 dollar battery and Im all about saving money... Lots of good reviews I saw on the site.. why dont you try the calibrate method on the battery and go from there..
1) Charge phone (while turned on) till full/green light.
2) Remove charger pwr off and then plug back in and let charge till green light
3) After green light remove charger and power on fully..
4)Once fully on, pwr phone off and then plug charger back in till green light
That should calibrate the battery.. See if that helps and let me know how the battery holds up to the $50 battery
I have used this battery, returned it just for the fact of how it makes the phone look, otherwise the battery worked great!
extended battery
barefaced,
How did it make it look? Was the phone to fat afterwards? I am interested in buying this then saw your post. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
It was just too thick for me, it I would guess about doubles the size of the device. I just picked up one of those spare charging stations with battery.
Let us.know how that battery works please. I would be interested.

These extended batteries are junk
Search on ebay for N21 extended battry for epic. I got these for my 2 Epics and they are awesome! $21 and lasts twice as long if you don't mind the larger back battery cover.

I have one and it works pretty well, not a fan of the big bump in the back. It got some getting used to. I am fine with it now. I get 3-4 days of use (I am a light user though)
just bought this one myself. I cant wait to try it out. 3500 is good. I wounder how it compairs to the seido 3200mha or the mugen power. I also noticed that they do not have a full line like Seido online does.
i will post pics after i get it.,
If it helps I have an evo and seidio 3500 w myns rls5, netarchy kernel @ 1152 w live wallpaper running and I get 35-40 hours w decent use and 1/2 on wifi. Im really happy. My wife an epic w stock battery and I pales in comparison to my evo. Hopefully its a good quality cells. I have had mine 2 mo and monitor its life prettywell. If its like mine you would have been just as happy to pay $65 so $25 is a steal

Ok, so I broke down and bought one of the cheap 3500 mAh batteries off ebay just to try it out. Well it came in the mail today so I powered my phone off and put the new honker in and went to charge it. First thing I noticed was the led status light kept blinking orange/green, so then I powered on the phone and noticed the battery symbol was gray with an ! in it, so I looked at the battery information and it says "battery status unknown" and the orange light keeps blinking. So... it's not charging while in the phone plugged in and I don't have an external charger. Is there a way to fix this issue? Is it something to do with the ROM i'm running, the kernel, or battery itself? I am using Inc Re-engineered v2.3 with lous #7 kernel. Thanks for the help!
Sounds like a bad battery.

Too big for me, wanna small light one and can fit in the jacket.
Why not just get some extra batteries and put them in your wallet

I'm a Noob, but I would of thought the following would be the best solution
official Samsung products as according to the Samsung manual, none Samsung batteries & chargers may damage your device:
Official Samsung Galaxy Note Holder and Battery Charger
Official Samsung Galaxy Note Replacement Battery:
I'm afraid I'm not allowed to post external links at this time, but if anyone would care to intercede on my behalf and post relevant product link or simply copy&paste to Google search.

I had 3 batteries with mine old Desire and it takes time to charge all 3 full. Note takes 3Hx2= 6H.
This time I wanna try out portable battery pack instead and can also charge other device too if needed.
I never used portable battery pack before and just dont know which brands are good or bad ones.
Anyway, I might go for New Trent one, small/light and 11000mah sounds good. Just the cheap price makes me wonder how good can it be?

Just ordered New Trent iCruiser IMP1000 11000mAh External Battery Pack and see how it works out.
And thanks all for suggestions.
The TeckNet iEP380-II 7000mAh I ordered from Amazon.co.uk appears to work fine.
It charged the battery from 40% to 73% in around 1:20 whilst I was watching TV tonight (including the last episode of Dexter, Eek!). I had the Wi-fi on, updated a couple of apps and played with the phone quite a bit, so I'm fairly happy with that.
I'm using Sanyo mobile booster 5000mAh costing around SGD$70~

I have an Anker Power Bank. It is about half the size of a pack of smokes. It works awesome, and easily slips into ANY pocket.

I have this one too & can confirm that it's a great little battery pack. It's already saved me a few times in the 2 weeks that I've had it.
Momax iPower Pro Portable Battery Pack
Hi, everyone!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note and I´m thinking of buying the Momax iPower Pro 8000mAh Universal Portable Battery Pack. Does anyone have any experience with it?
Or can you maybe suggest something similar?
Thanks!
I have ordered one of these http://portablepowersupplies.co.uk/portapowPremium.htm still waiting on delivery but it should work great for the Note when far from a wall socket.
I have the phonesuit primo...nothing but praise for this portable battery. I have only filled it up two or three times in the year that I have had it, but it doesn't seem to lose power over time. I use it for emergencies in charging my Galaxy Tab, and have used it to charge my Nokia E71 and a few friends iPhones. Looks nice as well.
I got mine New Trent iCruiser IMP1000 11000mAh and just for 1 week.
It came with around 75% charged (3 LED lighted) and icould charge the Note from 10-15% both times., still got 1 led left. Then I put it on charge overnight and it took around 14H before fully charged.
From 15% to 100% took around 2H 40min and less then Samsung charger that took 3H 30 min.
Thats is something weird about the 3 leds that display how much battery is left, donnu if it display correct about how much battery left its on the battery pack.
From fully charged, it drops from 3 leds to 1 led in around 2H charge time on mine Note. Donnu if the 3 leds are displaying wrong about how much battery is left, or I need to recharge it few times, before it reach full potential of the battery pack?
Or just the battery pack dont have that 11000 mah juice as the spec say its?
One minor problem, I have, is it cant charge mine bluetooth SonyEricsson MW600, it start to charge it for a while and then stop keep charging it. Had to unplug the microusb cable and replug it to charge it.
Well, gonna wait until recharge it few more times and see how it goes. Right now recharging it for 2 time and update later for more "reviews".
New Trent iCruiser IMP1000 11000mAh
i'm about to take the leap for New Trent iCruiser IMP1000 11000mAh , one last thing , any users who own one can say the pros and cons for it , it aint a cheap unit to purchase, im quite convinced about it but u know , just need the final confirmtion from xda community
cheers
Okay i just purchased the 3500 mAh battery from gorilla gadgets and it seems to me i got a faulty battery. The reason is i took the battery out of the package and placed it into my phone and held the power button..........Nothing it wont boot up? Well on their tutorial they said that, their battery will be half full and to drain it then charge it. Well my phone didn't even turn on and so i plugged the charger in and it said 100% so i turned it on and and i got to boot logo then went off back to showing the green battery charged, so i rebooted and it got to desktop but after 3 seconds it turned off and went back to displaying the green battery charged? so i took it off the charger and i same thing? It seem like it cant stay on and hold a charge and then it said it was 87% when it got turned on and when it went back off showing the charge it said 87 then bam! straight to 100%
Why is this happening? i called Gorilla Gadgets and they said will send out a replacement and that it could be you received a faulty battery.
What are your thoughts on this, and has this ever happened to you guys i mean its ridiculous i bought the battery on the 20th it got processed on the 21st and said it was going to be here by the 23rd didn't show up in-till the 27th i paid for USPS priority mail which means 2 to 3 business days. Well i understand because Christmas but i'm still upset that it took that long to get here and then ending up with a bad battery.
Could it be my phone, because i put 1500 mAh back in and it wouldn't boot but i put it in the charger and booted it up but took off the charger during boot logo and turned off, but then i gave it a few seconds and it turned off without charger just fine?
It is a bad battery. I have 2 bad replacements from Best Buy that do the same thing. 1 will power on but as soon as 3G connects it goes black.

got my 50% off coupon code for the samsung store, not sure if i should get the desktop charger/stand with standard battery, or just get the extended battery.
I was in the same situation as you but decided to go with a desktop charger and extra battery. Now I can leave my house in the morning with a full battery and when it gets drained, throw it into the charger grab the spare battery go out and have a full battery that'll last me all night if neede, instead of only getting an extra couple of hours. Jw where/how did you get the 50% Samsung code?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923222
yeah, i'm still not sure though, my phone generally lasts me my work day, i don't really trust keeping things on my desk at work. a few extras hours would be nice if i go somewhere after work though.
who knows, maybe i'll just buy a ton of tectiles, lol
I have both so I have 3 batteries... personally I'd rather the desk charger.
With the extended u only get like 10% more battery life which I don't feel like is a big deal and then u also have 2 batteries but can only charge them through ur phone.
I dont even care about battery anymore n just leave 4G on all day lol

Wait what 50% off code?!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
well, i went with the extended battery, and here's my reasoning. i don't really have the "desk" at work that i could put a dock on. my work environment is kind of dirty and i really think it would disappear from my desk. i really only need an extra 2 hours or so from my battery. since my wife also has a gnex, she can put my standard battery in her car for emergencies. i can easily charge at work, in the car, etc, if i need. my wife cannot charge at work, so if she gets out of work and has no battery, she will have a spare in the car.
if the extended battery doesn't work, i still have 50% off and i'll get the desk + battery to keep in my car, then we'll both have spares we can fall back onto.
