I'm on Synergy GM with Monkey Kernel.
I'm trying to install the SuperSaver script, but I can't seem to open Script Manager. Everytime I try to open it, it's just a black screen and if I press any buttons, it just FC's.
Any way to fix this?
Thanks!
Same here... Sorry I'm no help. Contacted Devwom and they sent me an alternate version but still no luck. I assume it is something in godmode that interferes with it. I am sure however that there is a way to run a script in terminal emulator I'm just not sure of the commands.

Hi all,
I have found this thread googling in order to try solve this SManager issue.
As says imheroldman, this morning I've send him a pre release in order to try solve this issue with Synergy GM.
I've a HTC Desire, and emulator in order to test SManager, so I can't reproduce this FC.
If someone could help me to solve this issue, I'll very happy
Send me a private mail at market mail (same as this), and I'll send a special version with a lot of debug messages. And if you send me logcat output, probably I'll correct the issue.
Best regards an thanks for interest,
Devwom
So you're telling me no one with Syngergy GM can run the script?

Can someone go a bit further in a tutorial using Terminal please?
EDIT:
Here is how I did it in TE and it seems to be working. I have noticed a significant speed up.......very significant.
Disclaimer: I am very new to Terminal stuff so I cannot verify what I did is the utmost correct way but I have rebooted 2x and ran a check and it's showing "Supercharged" and definitely faster.
su
sh /sdcard/scriptname
scroll speed I picked 3 cause I am new lol
my phone showed locked
Option 1 then 'Y' to the question
Option 15 to install for Terminal Emulator
Option 17 to exit
su
bash V6 (capitol 'V')
Scroll Speed 2 (cause I'm smarter than above now lol)
Option 1 then 'Y'
Option 2 let it do it's thing
Option 16 reboot
Open TE
su
bash V6
Scroll Speed 1 (I'm kinda a big deal now lol)
Option 1 to verify and shows Supercharged
Option 16 to reboot
I ran the 3rd batch of steps 2x to verify.

This software is currently in BETA status! This means that a lot of people have tested, and reported good results. There are still issues, but if you take note of the known issues and make sure to avoid them, you very likely will have no problems in using this fix. The worst this software should be able to do is force you to reflash your phone, by removing the battery and turning on the device with HOME+VOLDOWN+POWER + Odin and then following one of the many guides to flash a new firmware to your phone.

UPDATES:
There is currently a 2-3 version made by me that can be found here that has more features: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=751864
Tayutama has made an update.zip version that is easy to install - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=208

[size=+2]DEPRECATED:[/size]
[size=+1]This lagfix is now marked as DEPRECATED and the following tool should probably be used in all circumstances that this one would be used in: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=760571[/size]
Details about what this fix does:
Creates a VIRTUAL EXT2 filesystem inside the stock RFS filesystem on the internal SD card, with a 4KB block size. This means that this lag fix creates a buffer between the real filesystem and the android system. This buffer should reduce the amount of disk I/O required for all operations by utilizing EXT2 buffering, as well as not writing file access times to disk, etc. It allows only 1GB for application data at this stage, down from the 2GB of application data when running stock.
Folders that are currently supported:
/data/data
/data/system
/data/dalvik-cache
More folders can be added, and should help performance further.
Advantages for this fix over mimocan's fix
Does not require an external SD card.
Allows the external SD card to be removed and reinserted into the device.
Faster speed (Quadrant benchmarks of 2000+ vs 1700 for mimocan's fix)
Possible battery savings, by not requiring the external SD card to be always active.
Requirements for this fix
(Beta Release) The ability to reflash your device if something goes wrong.
Any firmware should work, including 2.2 froyo firmwares. (Tested!)
Rooted device - I used this: http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...t-samsung-galaxy-s-i9000-with-a-single-click/
Busybox 1.17.1 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7574130&postcount=229 -
You must have a busybox version installed that has mkfs.ext2. If unsure, install 1.17.1 from that thread!
That thread has an APK that you must sideload onto your device. Once installed, you will have a new application on your phone called "BusyBox Installer".
Run this application, and it will have a button to install busybox. Click the button, and it should install it for you!
If you have made a mistake and run this without the right busybox, there may be a solution for you! Check out this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7580071&postcount=187
A windows box to run the batch script. (Batch script does very little, you should be able to easily modify this to run in any enviroment.)
If you are already running mimocan's lag fix, check out this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7578137&postcount=85
How to run the one click fix
Place your phone into USB debugging mode: Settings->Applications->Development
Download the attached ZIP file.
Unzip to a folder of your choice.
Double click "lagfixme.bat"
Wait for it to complete.
How to remove the one click fix
Double click "unlagfixme.bat"
Wait for it to complete.
New Method for applying this lag fix
Tayutama has developed an update.zip version of this lag fix. I haven't tested it personally, but some people have had a lot of success with it. It should be more robust and less likely to cause you problems. I believe it avoids all rooting and busybox issues as well! Nice! Check out this helpful post by glockyboots for instructions. You must only use one lag fix, not both! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7587405&postcount=417
Known Issues
1) If you do not have 1GB of free space on /data, this fix won't be able to run. Looking into workarounds.
2) Script fails if your busybox does not have mkfs.ext2 - Solution is to update busybox - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7574130&postcount=229
3) Script will not work if you have previously used mimocan's fix on your current firmware. Try this to revert mimocan's fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7578137&postcount=85
4) Make sure your device is plugged in, and that you have the correct drivers. Permission denied errors usually mean that your device is not in USB debug mode. Settings->Applications->Development

Big thanks to mimocan for putting us all on the right track in how to sort out lag problems!
Big thanks to ykk_five for showing us all how well loopback filesystem mounting works!
Warning, this software is BETA QUALITY, and is known to function on a lot devices! You must have busybox 1.17.1 !
This doesn't meant that this won't break your phone and force you to reflash. It does mean that if you do everything properly and you read everything a few times, you very likely will have no issues!

Won't currently work with mimocans fix. I can make a slightly altered version that will work with mimocan, but if you could install mimocan, you should be able to open the .txt files and check how this is done, and do it yourself in ADB!
It seems a bit strange to have two lag fixes installed at once anyway...

I based this off my script from yesterday, so it has the names I used and not the names other people used. Feel free to just edit the text files to change the names.
Important part to note is that this fix is intended (eventually when all issues have been sorted out) for people who have no idea what linux is!

You don't have to do anything! That's the point!
You put your device into debug mode. Settings->Applications->Development
You plug the device in.
You double click "lagfixme.bat"
Bang!
Just gotta make sure that its rooted, and has busybox (well, it needs mkfs.ext2 included in busybox).
It worked well for me thanks
[Q] will this lag fix also fix the delivery lag of my galaxy s?
it was supposed to arrive last wednesday, today i caled the guy and he told me i get it this week... however he´s a friend of mine and i trust him. just cant wait so long...............

yes did a reboot after that.
Yes, i know they arent enabled by default, but after reading this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253502) thread i figured i'd give it a shot.
And i missed.
Im using a RHOD300 (tilt 2)
i downloaded the
Attached Files
LiveWallpapers.zip - [Click for QR Code] (347.8 KB, 45 views)
extracted them to my desktop, then placed them into the root of my SD card, then I ran haret and booted into android, then i loaded up terminal emulator and followed the steps (noted that im doing the "on phone" method) and sure enough there was indeed a new "live wallpapers" selector. however, whenever i try to use a live wallpaper, it force closes. (i even tried using livewallpapers i downloaded from the market, but that didnt work either) after rebooting to see if that was the problem, the same instance occured.
Thinking of a workaround, i saw that they were .apk files, so i this time placed them into the android app folder (where all the other .apk files are) and hoped that would work. and it didnt. So im at a loss as to what im doing wrong.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Edit: i dont think this would make much of a difference, but im using GO launcher ex from the market.
Edit2: 52 views!? i guess Live Wallpapers is a pretty attactive saying
I've had the same issue. It worked for me at first but then kinda force closed after sleeping. Afterwards it wouldnt start back up. I've done the ADB method aswell same issue. Let ya know after some adjustments if it works.
After much testing...
i have tried...
-deleting frx07.1
didnt work
-doing it on gingerbread
didnt work
-extracting files to multiple places, (android apps folder, android folder, root of the sd card)
Didnt work
-rebooting multiple times, in a desperate attempt to get it to work
as expected, nothing.
-accidently clicked "wallpapers" instead of "live wallpapers" and thought it was working...
Then i saw nothing was moving...
Well for the moment, i give up.
i'll try to tackle this again tomorrow, hope someone else finds a solution!
You should check out the android official website. read up on the commands for the terminal and stuff. If you've ever used any linux build youd learn the terminal for android fairly quickly. i got it working modifying the mount command. i'll go back and write a guide for using the terminal for android. in depth guide on what each command does and how to use it effectively. i'll post it in the android dev section in a few days

Glad to hear you got it working I still havent however :/ Where do you have your Livewallpaperpicker located? (i assume its the root)
Also, was it as simple as changing mount -o, remount to something like mount -1, remount?
And just making sure, the guide your talking about... will it include how you got this working? or will you post that here?
EDIT: found something interesting, i renamed my data.img and created a new one. i have the same files and everything (including livewallpaperpicker) and on my new data.img i dont have the live wallpaper option (as expected).
yet, when i use my other data.img (on i was using before) i have the livewallpaper option. a little confused as to why this is
I'll include the live wallpapers in my guide. I have everything in the root. I will find an alternative for you. but as arrrggghhh said it isnt guaranteed to work for everyone. will let ya know what i find. i have a spare tp2 so i can see if it works on there as well.
Another thing to note, when I'm using terminal emulator I do all the steps, but sometimes it will find LiveWallpapersPicker.apk and sometimes it won't "file or directors not found" I believe it says

Have you tried the GPS fix? I had to reinstall it manually after I did a reset. it's just an lto.dat file that goes into /data/gps IIRC. Also GPS status is an app that is included with Flexreaper it can be useful to see what is going on with your GPS reception.
This link has the info
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636757
and has eww245 said if you are able to you should post this kind of stuff into the Flexreaper thread.
Sorry for the wrong place! Could you remove or move it?
As I have already installed RF1 and the patch is included then I have no luck with it as well. Could you please tell me how to manually do it? There is nothing clear in the theme you have posted and I am NO pro!
Thank you
I have downloaded first the patch but it said errr already patched? Then I have downloaded and copied the lto.dat file.
Still NOT even a single satelite!

Did you reboot the device after putting the ito.dat file into /data/gps? Mine went from almost never getting a sync up when using Navigator app to always working(still takes a min or two when I first enable GPS) but then it works like a charm. In fact the battery on my old Nuvi w200 finally gave out on me so I'm using my tablet as navigator all the time now.( still need to find/make a good mount for it) and does GPS status show any satalites? Also GPS Status(the app) also has some features inside the menu that will reset some stuff that might help. GL wish I had more things to suggest. If non of this works I'm guessing you may have a harware issue with your GPS, but I don't have enough info to be sure of that.
Is "Use Internal GPS" selected under "Settings > Location services"? I don't know how, but last time I flashed a rom it wasn't selected, nothing was, so when I tried to use the GPS it would obviously fail.
Don't know how common that is, but sometimes stupid little things like that can give us the worst headaches.

Sure, What I did was look inside /data/gps on the tablet and I didnt see ito.dat. So I extracted the ito.dat out of the Flexreaper ROM .zip. You will find the file inside data/gps within the .zip file also. Take this file and copy it to /data/gps on the tablet. This can be done via root explorer, script manager etc, or via a terminal.
Assuming you extract the ito.zip from the .zip and place it into a micro sdcard and the root of the card, the following command would work to copy it via terminal emulator.
su
cp /mnt/external_sd/ito.dat /data/gps/ito.dat
It may or may not fix what ever issue you are having but it's worth a try and easy enough to do.
If you are on latest flex-A100-reaper , type in terminal.
Su (enter) gps-update( enter) and this will update your lto file for gps.
Normally it is done automaticly.
But all this information is in OP of flrexreaper.

If this does not help, try the following:
1. Install Terminal emulator for tablet
2. Turn off the GPS on the tablet: Settings -> Location services -> GPS satellite - uncheck
3. In the terminal the following commands:
Code:
su
echo 254 >/sys/EcControl/GPSPower
4. Turn on the GPS, Google's location service and WiFi on the tablet. Wait 5-10 minutes for the GPS data updates on the tablet (most likely it will be much faster).
Following these operations my tablet finds satellites within 10 seconds after turning on.
Well I have a question to our devs. Is there any one way to logcat that is preferred over another? I never have done logcat to determine issues for our device and I would like to start. I know there are a couple apps on the play store that are useful like aLogcat or Catlog. I know its best to use adb and even run the command in terminal emulator.
There is a great guide here that I've been referring to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726238
And DONT forget to thank paxChristos for the guide.
In short I want to logcat to help out our devs as much as possible so is there any requirements that you like to see for a logcat? Should I/we try and duplicate the issue a certain amount of times while doing the logcat? Any feedback would be useful.
Thanks to everyone who makes these devices we have just that much better. And keep up the great work.:thumbup:

Try installing the regular ADB drivers then. I linked a Google search for "Samsung adb drivers".
Damn still can not connect, I've tried to uninstall Google USB driver and Samsung USB drivers and they uninstall and install just fine witj a reboot in between of course but phone is still not connected. I'm my device manager on the PC under other devices it shows 4 android devices all with yellow caution signs.
Now my G2x won't show either lol Going to try and completely remove ADB and reinstall and see what happens.

If using Windows you must run the command prompt [cmd] as an admin be sure to do the following in Win 7:
click start type cmd in the white box and wait as it searches. When it lists cmd in that list now right click and choose run as admin.
Also you need to enable developer options [go to settings about device and tap the build ID like 7 times [as you tap it, it should count down after the first couple taps once you hit it enough it will say you have enabled developer options if you don't see them in settings already]
Be sure to hit the on off switch in upper right of window when you first tap developer options if the options are greyed out and don't let you change anything
Now in developer options be sure to go to the option where it says enable root access and be sure it says apps AND ADB if it says apps only tap that and change it to Apps and ADB.
Now try again
BTW I love CatLog it has a home screen widget that can start / stop recording for you] so if you know how to produce the problem go to home screen tap the widget go through the steps until the error occurs go back to home screen tap widget again and it stops then look in /sdcard/catlog/ and it will have text files named with the date and time and that will be the entire log cat that happened between the time you started and stopped the recording of your actions.
Ok so I have a problem, I would think most users have this too: The max volume level being too low. So I went ahead to search google for help, and downloaded "Ultra volume mod" now what I'm supposed to do is to overwrite the "default_gain.config" but when I do, it says permission denied. So I tried another method, manually editing the code. Now it justs says that an error occured when I try to save it. I did a little digging on the internet, and found out that my system is apparently read-only, how do I change that? Oh yeah, I'm currently using ES File Explorer, most people said theres a button to mount something but I can't find the button, maybe thats the fix to it? I have the latest updated version of the root explorer and I still cant find the mount button.
Well, while you're here can you help me with another one? On game hacking apps such as GameCIH or GameGuardian, either right after I grant root permission, it says "error: root denied" or it says nothing and when I try to change the code, nothing happens. Thanks for helping.
Device: Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-17005
Root: Yes
OS: Android Jellybean 4.3, Stock.
Any other info thats needed? Please say so, I will do my best to provide them. And please don't post complicated stuff, the most I can do is read simple codes and edit them, such as the volume one. I cant decode, read complex codes or create codes, if theres anything complicated, please try your best to explain how to do it. Thank you in advance for your help.

Open ES file explorer hit menu button ,scroll down, check mark root explorer ,slider will turn blue, then click extreme left of root explorer you'll get a pop up with few options, click on Mount R/W then another pop up comes up and you'll see RO and RW columns, and 4 rows of options.Select the RW column for each of the row options. That would mount your system to read and write files just like you are doing right now.Once you change your default_gain.conf it will ask you to replace it with existing one (you should make a back up of your original one on the sd card) then replace it,long press on the new file click on MORE at the bottom right then Properties then you'll see permissions as RWX-RWX-RWX- and Change next to it.click on change and you'll see 3 rows and 3 columns make it read as RW-R-R basically selecting first 2 columns for first option and only the first option for 2nd and 3rd row.Click ok,exit the es file explorer and reboot your phone. I am attaching images below so you can get visual help as well (my options differ a bit under es file explorer since im not running TW ROM but concept is same
Note: Root is must (I see you've mentioned you are rooted)
Thank you so much for the help, it worked perfectly, now my volume is just as its supposed to be. Thank you for your help, now i just need someone to answer my second question.
2nd one sounds like an app issue now you have confirmed it's not a root issue. Probably don't work on 4.3. Think I remember seeing groans from game cheaters about apps not being supported.
Oh okay... well, i tried out the mod, forgot that 1db more is 3 times a loud as the bd before. Almost busted my cheapass earphones. Also the static noise you hear in idk, clash of clans during start up increased by at least 5 times. Switching back, luckily i took your advice on making a backup. Thanks guys, really helped me. In the shortest time of any other forum too.

Ya many of us eat , breathe and sleep on xda and love to help out people cause we were also once in your shoes so I know how it feels when something doesn't work right ,the anxiety levels sky rocket at once and panick sets in.
Edit: You might want to quote people when responding to someone in particular so he/she gets notified otherwise they might not check back on the thread and your future questions might be left unanswered.Just a suggestion
Well if its just thanks i think they would like it if they didnt get spammed on email. Anyway i fixed the static problem, seems like the old speakerboost app i tried but did not delete was jealous of the mod, uninstalled and mod works like a charm.
