max i would pay is 300$ only if new or bareally used. if some scratches it should be around 260$
New
Its new .... and in my country its very good price ...in some eshops it costs 520€
Its more than 600 USD. So Ill buy it.
Not worth it at all. With that money save a few bucks and get a newer phone so you will be future-proofed for at least a year..or maybe 6 months with the rate devices are popping out

No
No I would wait forever. Yes I can wait and buy a better phone but there will be another good phone and i can wait again and i can die every day. ...
I need new phone right now.

I want to sell my Desire but not sure where to sell. Ebay is pretty much a no go. I can't see a BST section on XDA so i guess they don't support it? I was hoping to get £250 but not sure it will fetch that much? So i'm stuck for a price too lol.
Why not eBay? There is a marketplace section on here but don't know what sort of response you'll get...I'd say £300 if in good nick, or try Gumtree??
It's got some dings on the corners where i have dropped it. The screen is perfect though. I'd go as low as £200 just need to decide on somewhere...Ebay is a no go due to fees and stuff.

I don't know what the prices are for a Desire overthere in the UK, but here in the Netherlands you can get a new one for €390, around 330 pounds. With no contract or whatsoever. So I think 300 pounds is a 'bit' too high.
I agree i'm not a greedy man I'd be happy with 210-200.
Fair enuff, that's a fair price

You gat any HD's there? Currently on long waiting lists everywhere I've looked. Then I'd look to sell my Desire as well and get the DHD...
you could try selling it on hotukdeals website in their for sale/trade section

Did a quick search on the shops I buy stuff, everywhere I looked they seem to be out of stock.
Well i'm just about giving up on the idea of selling it. Even for £200 nobody seems interested...i blame the Z and HD!
Last time I checked you could get 167 quid for it on money4urmobile.com. but that was a couple of weeks ago. Just as the dhd was released they were offering 201 for it but it soon dropped.

I bought my first Defy just before Christmas.
Well I lost my Defy in the Indian Ocean on holiday a couple of weeks ago..... waterproof video
Problem is I really liked the Defy but is it really worth paying for twice £260 x2 ?
What is it like with 2.2 and will it ever get an open bootloader?
Convince me to get another one, because I can't decide.
BTW I'm now using a Nokia 5800, so it may not take too long before I get the urge.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=940683 ...... nice.

Question is: What are alternatives and what features do you need? If you need waterproof video, the selection is probably limited . 260 Pounds sounds a bit expensive IMHO.

1.Don't know yet, 2. probably not.
I personally think the phone is worth it's money and it is a solid and reliable device, but because of the locked bootloader I will not buy a Motorola phone again and hence will not convinve you in buying one.
By elementary economics/accountings, your bricked phone is historical and shouldn't be factor in your decision

Why pay so much? On ebay you can find new for 200-220 euros. i found mine for 190
problem resolved
checked on Ebay and put in a bid for £215 on a new sim free Defy and won. Was checking out Samsung Galaxy S as well, they look nice. FTR Nokia 5800 is fairly rubbish, but worth £70.... hello Ebay
The moral here was that we shouldn't be too tight with our money. Or tie string on your phone when in the sea, you choose.
out.
I'm selling my HTC Desire HD.
It's in mint condition with all the acessories plus extra battery, external charger, TPU protective case and 3 screen protectors.
How much money do you think I can make?
What's the best place to sell it?
Thanks!

I don't have the original receipt. I bought it in February.
It's rooted and it's with custom rom.
Is it unlocked? You can get a bit more for it unlocked than not, tbh if its rooted it probably is xD.
looking on ebay at like £250 - £300 depending on what condition its in, more if you have extras with it.
Hope this helps!
Thank you.
It's beeing difficult to sell it. :S

I also think that's the right price. About 250 euro. If there's a guarantee card - 300 euro.
Also, remember we have a Marketplace forum here on xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=476
Hello. I was looking for cheap socond-hand android phone, and one friend offered his Desire for 150$ is that a good deal?
im from ireland and average price for second hand desire is around 100 euro, so bout 135$ so yeah its about right. just make sure its in good working order

It's a good deal, when you think it's a good deal. Are you willing to spend $150 dollar on the phone?
Here in The Netherlands, second hand Desires are sold for about €125-€150, so the price seems fair. But it may well be that in your country the prices differ.

If the phone is in perfect status can be a good price, but if he's your friend he might be able to lower it.
I bought mine 4 weeks ago for 100€ with headphones, and I think I made a very good deal cause this phone is awesome.

u dont need a big sdcard for rooting, jeez a 4gb card would be fine for a lot of people, most ext3/4 partitions u need for like 70% of roms only require 1gb/1.5gb. basically what im saying is keep what u have, s-off & root ur phone, learn to flash a rom and so on, and if it turns out that u download like a madman and u need a bigger sdcard then go buy 1, dont just go buy 1 coz some1 tells ya too, coz they aint that cheap.

i dont think price will drop again
Wait for atleast one week
I bought it for 10999 on primeday
But there was a mandatory prime membership charge of 500.
I think you should wait for atleast 7 days, keep on looking for price cut.
Wait for 1 or 2 weeks and Amazon will have again some kind of sale and then you can buy it at 10,999₹
New device available at 10,999
Hi. It's an amazing purchase for 10,999. One of the best smartphone deals in history if you value your hard earned money. I have a unit that's coming to me for delivery today. I bought it on Prime Day, COD. I can give it to you for the price you want as my cousin is sending a galaxy s7 edge from the US. The lenovo z2 plus hasn't even been delivered to me as of now. It will be a new piece. Do let me know @ 9644930916
