When ever I turn my phone on at home, both the wifi and the 3g indicators come. I can toggle the wifi to make the 3g indicator turn off, but it is just irritating. Is this normal? Ive been on 3 different roms, kernels and other themes and still get both indicators on when I boot up. Did a quick search and didnt find anyone else with this problem.
Happens to me too

Have the same thing on stock since day one, doesn't seem to effect anything, comes out of nowhere. Today is my first day running SyndicateROM and it came and for the first time, went away, on it's own.
What is your wifi sleep setting set to?
If its set to go to sleep then when you wake your phone up. It turns back on

From everything I've heard, having 4G running all the time is a real battery hog. So it's a real waste to keep it on while the phone is in standby mode. However when the phone is on, I'd like to use 4G for web browsing, etc. and I don't want to keep having to toggle it on and off.
Is there an app available that automatically toggles off 4G whenever the screen is off, and automatically toggles it back on whenever the screen is on (similar to what is done with the OverclockWidget)?
I've searched but couldn't find one.
Thanks
Albert
There will be the second that I find the one little line of code to toggle the 4G.. got the rest of the app done though..
That would be handy.
Starting to think its not possible.. let me know if anyone finds how to toggle the 4G and ill add it in. I feel like it was something that Sprint/HTC created though and is not in the normal SDK as this is the only device with wimax so far.
I live in new york and take the subway to school every morining. Since most of the time it is underground I don't have signal. Every time my phone starts to look for signal the music stops for like a second or two which Is pretty annoying. Is there anyway to remove this sound?
Sometime I use airplane mode which does stop the sound but I forget to turn it off and ppl get mad at me for not replying to their texts so any advice other than airplane mode is good.

I was sitting at my desk when I saw my data start acting funny. I thought it would be an excellent time to use network info app and see what was going on. It lasted about 45 seconds in the barless 3G before droppping data and then reconnecting to gray bar 4G. Location Mesa, AZ
So I've been working to get as much battery as possible out of my device. Just today, I left my phone with wifi turned off on my desk and sync on, and it idled down only 1% over the course of 2.5 hours. Great, that's almost better than in gingerbread. The minute I turn wifi on and let it idle, my new wake locks are coming from "phone" and process "rild" in GSam. Any thoughts what these ones are?

I've tried searching but it's tough to search wake lock and "phone" since it's such a vague term, but seems to be a specific piece of Android that GSam is reporting on.
Rild seems to be a radio interface layer or something related to 3g/4g,but why would that even be attempting to wake the phone when wifi is on? Isn't that portion of data turned off when on wifi?

Hi guys, I hope some of you are experiencing the same issue and can help me to figure this out. Here it is what is happening.
My WiFi in advanced settings is set up to be always on only when plugged in. So the phone goes to deep sleep, turns off the WiFi and turns on 3G data on network. The problem is after that the phone doesn't pull off messages and push notifications (Gmail, WhatsUp etc) and when I wake up the phone and he connect to WiFi
he is pulling the messages. And that is happening only if I am in range of remembered WiFi network. If I am not in range on some saved WiFi network the 3G data pulling works as it should (pulling the messages as they arrives).
I tried to put the phone in Normal Mode under Power manager but nothing is changing.
So any of you guys noticed something like this?
deep sleep
Same issue...wifi or only 3g either.:crying: no idea and i hate it... i turn off the screen and after 15 min it goes to deep sleep and no notifications but just...once or twice a day....strange. i checked every energy management option but ...dunno.

This happened to me last night, I'm on B512 and it hadn't happened before. Did you ever fix this, @goce.nakov, @marilllyo?
Is this supposed to happen in deep sleep? Unlike your case, my Wi-Fi was off and I always have a good data connection, but I only got the notification when I turned the sreen on, about an hour after the notification were supposed to get to my phone.
