[review] G2 antismear protector - myTouch 4G Accessories

Have you seen the screen protector on iPhone 4? Isn't it looking nice?
It is called "Anti-Smear" protector, and does have a bit of anti-glare coating.
The one for G2 fits our myTouch 4G perfectly, without need of cutting.
I went to T-mobile store and got a pair of those, and it is a perfect fit!

I can't find an anti-glare screen protector

I'm getting the phone soon, and I want an anti-glare one. I looked on ebay and can't find any.
*edit* I realized I didn't even ask anything. Can anyone point me to a website where I can buy an anti-glare screen protector?
Boxwave, AT&T, and Skinomi all have anti-glare screen protectors. I'm sure there are more but those are the ones I know off the top of my head.
SGP's Steinheil Ultra Fine Film (available directly from the SGP Store site) is another option.

I live in Canada, so the AT&T one is not an option, I tried skinomi, but I didn't see an anti-glare one, can you link me to one directly?
I'll try boxwave now.

Holy ****, they do have it but it's $15 for only two of them.
I found these on Amazon, can anyone verify if they're any good:

I'll be going with the SGP, I used it on all 4 iPhone and 1 Motorola Droid. They are awesome screen protectors.
I'll probably purchase from their ebay store.
DO NOT BUY THE ATT ANTI GLARE ITS ABSOLUTE ****....... its gives a horrible look to the screen and you can literally see the multi color pixels in in the screen

haha, it's ok, I live in Canada, the closest ATT to me is one in Seattle (if there is one there), and that's two hours away.
I'm not gonna get one from ATT. However, I need to know if those ones from Amazon I posted will do.
I didn't know they had one yet. Good deal, supposed to be the best.

I HATE the anti-glare screen protector but it was the only thing available at the time. Instead, I purchase a regular one on eBay as well as the Incipio Feather case that comes with one. IF these those fix the feel/look, I'll just have to go naked (screen )
Hi Ivan go to T-Mobile and buy the protector for Samsung vibrant and it fits very nice upside down plus its antiglare I have on my atrix

Gorilla glass..
I 'm waiting also my atrix..
and i ordered from ebay screen protectors..
they said its anti-glare, but i dont think so.. because its very cheap..
anw.. do we really need screen protector?
it makes less-sensitive the screen..
it hasnt got good antiglare action..
it may not be exactly at the size of the screen
the screen is gorilla glass.. it is necessary to have extra protection?
is gorilla glass really un-scratchable?
from keys the gorilla glass it doesnt make any scratches..
but with something stronger?
e.g phone falls..
if the screen brakes, the screen protector wont prevent it from breaking..
if anyone has atrix or any gorilla-glass phone without screen protector
and believes it's not necessary,
please just inform us!
Do not buy wrapsol screen protector. They are extremely hard to put on and it dims the screen quite bad. Its the one with anti fingerprints. Also, the installation is a pain. There is no room for error. Any dust or lint trapped between the glass and the protector can not be removed with tape. It will beforever there. Im just thinking of removing it since my protector has full of unremovable dirt..

I found it not too bad to apply. Make sure you're in a dust free environment (close the door in the bathroom and turn on the shower - hot - for a few minutes to steam things up).
I've messed up quite badly on an installation (got some lint stuck between the screen and protector) and was able to rectify the problem by washing the protector with soap and water and then reapplying it. Worked great!
there is what your looking for. these are the ones that have the Matte finish to them. i had these on my HD2 but now i bought the Invisible ones for my Atrix.
splash Masque Screen Protector Film Matte Clear (Anti-Glare) for Motorola Atrix 4G (3-Pack)
The best I've found is from www.nushield.com. I've used their screen products for years now on touch gps screens, Tilt2 and camera screens. Their DayVue film is great.

They are anti glare but give a horriblie look and texture to the phone literally feels like rubbing my hand on sandpaper
I got these instead
http://www.amazon.com/splash-Masque..._1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1299738380&sr=1-3
And with Atrix Screen you dont really need antiglare
I bought the ones from att. I have had protectors on all my phones, out of necessity after scratching a new phone. I don't care for the att ones. They do ok for glare, but are horrible for the clarity of the screen. I am going to take it off. I went for about 2 weeks before I installed it. I really don't want to use one, but I live in Florida and the glass just reflects the sunlight soo well, which in turn really brings out the finger smudges. So I'll get another brand.

Screen protector/Mobile protector

I have read some ad for the ultra protectors, some brands are INVISIBLE SHIELD, BODYGUARDZ, SGP PROTECTOR etc
Since i am LG P970 and it is not using the Gorilla Glass. I want a screen protector/ full phone coverage can protect from keys scratches, coin scratches in my bag.
what are the different? I know they all provided lifetime warranty replacement service. But Can I have more brands for comparison and have your comments on these protectors (how hard/strength are they)?
Thanks~~
i have looked the two web and do think that the info are great. As a matter of fact ,i bought two pieces.
I bought a Martin Fields screen protector for my HTC Mozart and am loving it.
Took a while to apply as I wanted it to be perfect and have no bubbles / dust particles under it. It now looks great (like there is no screen protector on).
Also as far as I can tell, it uses static to stick and no glue so you can remove it, put it back. If you need to get your phone swapped out, take it off and put it on the new phone etc.
It was half the price of the invisible shields (well, the prices here in South Africa at least).
i use the invisi-shield. and must say its very resistant to anything i have in my pockets with the phone.
I currently have a Skinomi and I notice it seems to be thinner/more malleable than others I've seen, so I do think there are at least subtle differences between most the brands. Sometimes differences can be major, as I hear about the Zagg and its intentional texture. I saw GhostArmor in the mall last week and although its cut didn't seem nearly as good as Skinomi's, I'm still going to give it a shot because it seemed to have very good transparency.

What I think is really funny is that everyone is buying this same stuff that 3M makes for protecting cars paint as well as head lights and it would probably be cheaper for one to get this stuff here rather than pay the amount for specially cut out clear film.

+1 INVISIBLE SHIELD It's a durable shield.
im just using the normal 1...haha...it very good also...
nice product i love it
What does everyone here think about Seidio? I'll probably be getting a G-Nexus and want to put something on it right out of the box.
I use a xoskin screen protector. They come with a install kit, spray, squeegee, and instructions. They are smooth and dont have orange peel like others and they dont turn yellow and peel off.
I use it to and good..
+1 to invisible sheild here.. once you get used to the texture it's a very good protector.
what do you think about defy
invisible Shield is great! I have it some time now, and the phone looks just like new
Please pleaase try a steinheil ultra crystal first!
I tried a couple cheapies $3 or so with bad results. They wore down in a couple weeks and didn't look clear.
The sgp or steinheil ultra crystal truly makes the screen look like glass with no protector on! And I am three weeks not a dent or scratch. They are around $14 shipped and well worth it (2 pack)
I have it on my samsung galaxy s2 Epic™ 4g touch and I might prefer the cover to the raw glass

[Q] Which screen protector should I choose?

Hy guys, i'm going to buy a Galaxy Nexus and I wanna buy a screen protector before getting the phone.
I have a ZAGG one on my iPod Touch 4g, but I don't like it, so I decided to ask here.
I had the opportunity to try a Brando one on a friend's iPhone 4, and it's very nice, but I can't find a Galaxy Nexus' one... So which i should choose? I also can't understand yet differences between the one using wet application and the others...
PS: i already found some questions on various screen protectors, but didn't find a "which shouldi i choose" one in this section...
PPS: Sorry if i made some mistakes, my English is only a scholastic one...
Brando have screen protectors available for for the Galaxy Nexus (not sure if they do international shipping):

http://shop.brando.com/brando-works...or-samsung-galaxy-nexus-_p06678c1373d011.html
I've heard the SGP Flex screen protector is very good, I'll most likely be ordering one myself. (http://www.sgpstore.com/cell-phone/...s-screen-protector-steinheil-flex-series.html)
i have the zagg. Its actually not as orange peely like the zagg on my old galaxy s. I wish power support made their screen protectors for something other than by apple because theirs are excellent.

Do you know if the Brando is a dry install? If so, it probably won't cover all of the screen like he Oleophobic from SGP. I just bought the Flex and it will be here Wednesday so I can let you know how that feel/orange peel is.
The Zagg on my iPod is crap looking at the Brando on my friend's iPhone. Yeah, it has less bubbles, but his doesn't make the user feel he is using a screen protector!
Not meant to hi-jack this thread but I came across this
http://www.sgpstore.com/cell-phone/...-nexus-screen-protector-steinheil-series.html
The description says that the screen protector has an oleophobic coating. I was wondering if the film is clear or matte? I don't like matte screen protectors.
I'm interested in that screen protector too... I'm undecided between this one and the Brando's one

It's clear, but I feel like it causes a little bit more friction than the bare screen. As mentioned in another review on here, it's significantly smaller than the entire screen area to avoid peeling at the curved edges, so that may be something that affects your decision to purchase.
How is the fitting of the Brando screen protector? Can someone upload a picture of it on the Galaxy Nexus?
Thanks.
I never realized screen protectors were such a big deal. lol
The one I am using now is the Anti-Glare screen protector that I got from Verizon. It was a bundle with 3 protectors, a car charger, and clip holster.
Didn't realize everyone used one... My GNex stays naked!
Stay away from the ones Verizon sells. They aren't completely terrible, but those things smudge so badly. It's pretty annoying, but I can't complain because they are protecting the screen for the most part.

I've tried just about every screen protector out there and I have come to realize the VZW protectors are the best for me. Yes, they do show smudges a bit more, but they don't yellow, they don't require the wet application, they don't have a weird feeling to them, and they are the cheapest. Also, I had one on my Incredible for 6 months without a mark on it.
Just my opinion after trying tons of brands.

@OP: So which Screen Protector did you end up with? Cany ou give us some feedback about it?
Verizon clear (not anti-glare) works great. No orange peel. there is a 1-2mm gap from the bezel but the sensor cutouts align perfectly
Currently using VZW clear + Incipio NGP.
I went with ghost armor, cost me $15 covers top to bottom and edge to edge. Rep installed it perfectly. No orange peel yet but I do expect some. The good news is that it comes with a life time warranty. If it does begin to show signs of orange peel, they will replace it for a $5 install fee.

+1 for Verizon clear screen protector.

the best wet screen protector?

I have bought ultra crystal and they discontinued it so I'm supposed to receive Ultra Nano Clear (http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/sa...een-protector-steinheil-ultra-nano-clear.html) for replacement. But, I'm still not satisfied that the screen protector doesn't cover the whole screen, so I'm thinking moving on to the wet screen protector. I don't have many information about wet screen protectors, though. Only I know is Skinomi TechSkin, Zagg Invisible Shield & SGP Flex HD. I have used Zagg's Invisible shield, but haven't used Skinomi and SGP Flex HD. Which one should I use? or feel free to reply any wet screen protector you know.

I got the Flex HD protector. I have always really liked SGP's stuff. Had Zagg before and didn't like it at all.
XO are pretty nice.
if anyone comes in and has any opinions to offer on skinomi please share them. I ordered a carbon fiber skin and didnt plan to use the screen protector that came with it. but if theyre good quality i might try it.

I don't have Skinomi's screen protector (SP) on mine but I never liked their SP, due to being rubbery. I prefer the hard feeling for a SP. But, I love Skinomi's Carbon Fiber kit.
Has anybody tried this one?

I tried zagg. Problem is it isn't dust proof. Most screen protecter can withstand dust before actually getting dirty. Zagg can't.

wow I thought Zagg would win! I still have nano clear coming so I will just wait a little bit to see other people's experience with nano clear. It would be simple if I return ultra nano clear and get flex hd since it's from the same provider.
Had the Zagg, hated it. Bought a Copter one, better, but still not great. Ordered a Skinomi one from the web, and it's the best yet(don't like the feeling of it, but it has the best fit ever). Also bought some Belkin dry fit ones, but the cut was just all wrong.

just arrived and applied the FLEX HD, it covers perfectly all my screen.
I have skins from BestSkinsEver, and I like it quite a bit, it covers the entire phone and, even with me constantly slipping it in and out of the leather pouch, none of the skins on the side rim/silver area have peeled off.
I prefer a $5 screen protector. It isn't glossy but smooth and doesn't peel of easily

I have the same problem with the sweaty hands I'm thinking about getting a screen protector is the flex good as it is a wet screen protector out do you recommend anything else because I use Swype for my typing and don't want my sweaty fingers to be a problem. any other brands besides the 3 listed up top?
looking for one that has good clarity and not to much of that tacky feeling ( I know aren't we all?) haha

Which screen protector?

Hey guys,
I need a screen protector which covers the whole front (not the borders). My Nexus's screen broke and I installed a new screen and now I can't find which one did I use earlier. It was perfect.
Attaching a photo of the previous one.
Thanks
I just bought the official Verizon screen protectors last weekend. You get 3 for 12.99. Just don't get the glare proof ones as they distort the color.

How do they fit?
i really have never used any screen protectors for my samsung phones. I never have had any scratches whatsoever and I am pretty rough with my phone.
Wow, really? :/ Not at all? Even I don't want to apply a protector. The Beauty of the phone dies!
I just got my Galaxy Nexus off eBay and I bought ArmorSuit MilitaryShield - Samsung Galaxy Nexus Screen Protector Shield with Lifetime Replacements
$9.95 from Amazon.com
I bought one an ArmorSuit shield for my Nexus 7 and it is GREAT.
I posted a review on Amazon.com, basically stating:
FLAWLESS installation. No bubbles, no overhangs, no dust. No "orange peel" texture like you get on the other brand (rhymes with Bagg). Save Money and get this TOP QUALITY protector. When I showed my Nexus 7 to my friends, they couldn't even tell that it had a screen protector on, and this one on my Galaxy Nexus looks just as great!
If you follow the instructions, (it is a wet install- but super easy) and take your time, you should get similar results. I will never buy any other brand of screen protectors.
I'm still using the same XO Skins from last December. It' still holding up great but I'm curious to try out this no screen protector thing now and see what happens.
I'll probably keep the screen naked. I'm loving the feel of it. And anyway, the whole front glass of the phone is just for 16$. :/
OR I might just buy the armor suit shield
Ghost armor is what I've been using since my S. Pretty transparent and it's slightly oleophobic so any oils that build up wipe right off. Dust likes to cling to the edges though.
