[Closed Tests]Need some Wildfire S users to test rooting methods - HTC Wildfire S

I HAVE ENOUGH TESTERS NOW, PLEASE DO NOT PM ME
DON'T WORRY IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PM'D ME BEFORE NOW (30th JULY) YOU COULD STILL BE CHOSEN FOR TESTING
Thanks to everyone that offered to help!
I am trying to get the Wildfire S rooted, and I need testers to try downgrade methods for me.
I can try rooting method on my fiancée's Wildfire S, but she has given me orders not to try any downgrade methods lol
So only PM me if you...
1. Have a Wildfire S (Obviously)
2. Are willing to try downgrade methods
3. Have some knowledge in this sorta thing
PM me asap
Thanks
P.S. Please do not PM me if you believe you will have problems following instructions (For example, if you have ever created a question thread in the dev section, do not PM me as this means you cannot follow instructions...I will check lol)

I wish I could but gave away my wildfire s! Anyways will be following this thread closely thanks for this mate and best of luck

Sorry to those I didn't reply to, I got quite a lot of PM's and also working on other things too.
Update on Root...
I'll be honest, I haven't made any progress with Rooting the Wildfire S. I did think I had done it, 3 times in fact, but unfortunately didn't
But, I'm not giving up
I'll keep you guys updated

UPDATE:
Still no luck unfortunately
Still trying

[Q] HTC Sense 3.0 for my HT Desire HD?? Please help!!

Hello everyone!!
I have the following question, I hope someone can help? I am using an HTC DHD amd would like to have the new sense 3 fully working on it. So I found this article that describes a rom for tbe inspire 4g and figured that the inspire and dhd are actually the same, the rom can work, right??! But, then I found this interesting fact, that rooting is impossible for desire hd that runs on an official 2.3.3. Is this true? Please help, I am ver new to all of this, but very want to learn!!
Thanks in advance
Danny
You don't want Sense 3. It's even more bloated and laggy than its predecessor.

Are you crazy? it's already ported to dhd.it's fully working.and it's rootable.from where the hell you collect this info.check dhd thread.
flash a sense 3.0 rom like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1115312
His question was also if he could root 2.3.3.
It depends in your baseband. 1.72 etc. Go to setting and about (info) to find it. I think I saw a thread in dev section to now root 2.36. But I could be wrong. Check through the development forum.

Cool! so just an extra info for ya. Almost 2 weeks back there was no such thread to root any DHD above than 2.37 software number. the OP of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152233
He figured it out not only 2.37 can be rooted but also with any other different software numbers. If you ever feel like rooting your phone and enjoy some custom ROMs. Follow the link.

Well if they say, you can't then you probably can't this time. Also in other threads were updates - people are working on it. It will be on the forums, when root is available.
thanks alot
You have to wait either for HTC to release their boot unlocker or someone else who manage to root it. It's a race. Wonder who will faster.

aren't there rooted stock GB roms in development section? maybe you should ask developers how did they do it?
Here's an idea, search before making a new thread. Its right there in the rules of these fora. There are multiple threads about this subject already. If you can type then you can read, right?

You do read that its not about rooting an ordenary gingerbread device, right?
After HTC released the official upgrade to 2.3.3 alot of eager smartphone users have left their cooked 2.3.x rooted devices stranded on the upgraded 2.3.3.
As did I. Now I am too looking for a solution to get back to the much better 2.3.x rooted version gingerbread that I had before.
I understand threadstarters frustration. Maybe so should you instead of flaming?
Have a nice day...
EDIT: just found the other thread about downgrading to bootloader 0.93. But still think a decent reply to a kind would be nice, eventhough there are other threads about same topic.
Yes and as we all said there are already multiple threads about this exact subject. I understand that the thread starter is frustrated but there are others with the same problem already. Thats why you're meant to search before posting new threads, because there are already threads covering this topic.

This can be done.
I s-off and rooted my desire running official gingerbread today.
You need this tool from revolutionary.io (sorry I cant post links yet)
It was quite easy (after finding a guide on google).
I needed to root so I could updated the radio and have 2 way call recording, it's working perfectly. Well happy

The best place to start looking for that kind of help will be in the Development forum for your device. It may be listed as a different name since HTC changes names for different carriers and countries. I'm not familiar with your device so I'm not sure. Anyway, in the development forum, you'll find guides and help on getting your device rooted and customized.

Guy they are telling you the truth, this is a Wildfire S forum .. ah .. this thread is called 'new to this lark', but that's just an expression it has nothing to do with 'Lark' who made your tablet.
Let's start at the beginning, do you know how the internet works?

How to root

Hi guys and girls, I need some help with rooting my cousin's HTC desire. Can any one paste the easiest guide , to root , radio off and eng is off.
What Rom ya guys recommend which has Persian/arabic support.
The aim of the root is to provide Persian support for this tiny baby.

Unfortunately my friend this is not a hold my hand and guide me forum. You need to do some reading and learning like the rest of us. We all had to do it and we all were new at this once. So please read and search then read and search some more before you end up coming back to us requesting help to fix your phone.
Never attempt anything without some kind of basic knowledge of what you are trying to do.
To get anything higher than 2.3.7 means you have to go custom rom like JB or ICS. So my first advice to you would be reading up on how to get your bootloader unlocked since its a DHD. If its an inspire then read up on rooting if its still supported.
Good luck and enjoy the learning.

I agree...
To op. Please look through the forums, people have already done lots and lots of work already for you, creating guides and tools and roms and recoveries.
Now I don't want to sound mean, but at the end of the day your going to have to do all the work rooting and flashing yourself, this stuff is not easy for beginners (noobs) your going to have to do some reading and learning.
However this does not mean that some one is not going to help you after you've learned some skills.
