I bought a Logitec diNovo Mini for my HTPC... but hey it makes the SGS2 a mini-netbook SGP Ultra Capsule makes sure it doesn't slide down. You even get a cursor in Android!

Thanks! I still have one of those lying around somewhere
How is the galaxy attached?
I believe the capsule rick is talking about is a magnet, which keeps it in place.
A diNovo mini keyboard (with touchpad so it also is a mouse) has a lid (which actually has a function, it turns of the keyboard backlighting when closed). The sgp ultracapsule is a polyurethane case which is 'rubberish' enough to make sure the sgs2 has enough grip and stays in place on the opened lid.
So holding it in your hands you have a small netbook and might even be able to do some office work on it.
It does topple over onto the lid due to the phones weight when you don't hold it sadly ;-)
I've got the Samsung Mesh case, I wonder how solid the S2 would sit there?

It slides right off, even with the rubber case. I saw a magnet thinggie for sale at mediamarkt that might work. The s2 battery case slides off too.
Hi M8
I used the same keyboard and attached to and LCD tv. Works great but cannot map the back and home key . . . .Any ideas?
Kinda cool
I prefere swype over a mini keyboard anyday though!!

1) Leather case, no flip. I like that it's made out of leather and it protects all corners despite having the korean hole thing for TV.

2) Leather cases with flip.
They all look awesome and not that expensive, help me decide !!!
Here's my criteria for choosing a protective case :
1) A case that would allow me to dock the phone (on a Samsung desktop dock) without removing it from the case
2) and a case with a hole on the bottom to allow me to charge it, without having to open the case.
So far, I have found none.
Lemme know if you find one.
The spelling on that eBay page is dreadful, Black is spelt "blcak"

I believe with the zenis dock you can dock the phone with any regular case (the no flip one or any silicon one for example would work with this dock)

It's the only dock I know so far that has a removable part to allow case + phone docking.
As for the charging hole thing on flip cases, well, cut it out yourself
^^Can they sync too?
Was searching high and low for a slim snap on case, I phoneish style. (only thing I like about the iPhone are the cases) finally found one so I thought I'd share. Good feel to it. Only downside is the buttons are a little flushed so its a harder to press, not too bad though. It comes with a clip too.

Looks nice but that item on Amazon looks completely different
This case came out soon after the first release of s2. I used this case for awhile.. but I dropped it a cople of times over tiles and back started cracking from the middle. Also one of the piece that holds the phone (There's 3, 1 at the bottom and 2 on the sides) just broke off one day.
I paid $15. I am currently looking for something again like this that I can use it to hold the phone on my belt for work. Not sure if I'll buy it again.
Design is not that nice but I think in the end, the value was there.
i have this case dropped several times never had a crack and saved my phone like the kick stand too,got it on amazon for 5$ cant beat that

The Incipio case is almost identical...

Why pay 25$ when you can have it for less than 10 shipped? Still pretty durable and slick
Sent from Samsung Galaxy SIV
My Xoom came with a Cyber Acoustics leather case. It has a lot of advantages, is very well made, but I would like something that simply protects the case and allows me to use the HD audio dock, without removing it. Access to all the ports and the power button is an obvious "must have". Grippy back surface would be a plus. I was looking at the Body Glove Phantom, but they don't seem to be available any more. Does anyone have a recommendation?
I have an Incipio shell. Works very well.
I went to look at the Incipio cases. They have at least 3 made for the xoom. One described as the kickstand case, one called feather ultralight hardshell, and one called Silicrylic. It never can be easy can it?
Heh. I have the red Featherlight.
If less is more, there is always the gel case. All ports (apart from SD card slot I think) are open.

Thanks Kenny,
I bought the featherlight and it's just what i was looking for...well made, secure fit, not cluttered with features that just add bulk.

Yeah, I must have bought 5 or 6 Xoom cases in the time I've had it, and this one is the one I've settled with (I'd better buy a spare while I still can, come to think of it).
What I use when carrying it around is this case, which has a pouch that I keep a small BT keyboard in, as well as my USB OTG cable and a cleaning cloth.

Yust use the gel case
My little review on the "Beyond Cell" "Duo shield" Samsung Galaxy S3 case.
after getting my s3, i like everyone else started looking for cases.
I couldn't justify spending $40+ on a case ( i know its not much ) but for me, i could essentially vacuum formed ABS around it & then painted that with 1 can of plastidip & had a case as good, if not stronger then a otter-box defender
so i went perusing the beautiful internets of china & saw some cases that were around $10-$20 . i saw a few, but it seemed like all where the same but the sellers were just inflating the prices.
so i decided i also wanted a kickstand, so what i wanted was:
kick stand,
hard-case
soft gel case to go over hardcase
So enter the Beyond Cell DUo Shield.
it cost me about $13 shipped & i surprisingly received it about 5 days after ordering.
I have dropped this thing 3 times on purpose from about waist height. & 2 on accident (it was on my lap when i got out of my car) & all is well still no cracks or breaks...etc.
the rubber sleeve has nubs on the inside of it, that press the buttons, so you don't have the hard dead feeling like with hard buttons. all the ports are accessible, 1 little issue i have with it, is i dont like how it emcpompases the LED, speaker & camera...but those are aesthetic issues.
pics are below.
I will get the pics of the phone in the case when i get my Nexus 7 from work since i cant take a pic of the phone in the case with the phone...lol

Ok I found out a very nice way to hold my One in my car, though I dunno if someone tried it with the One which is the first Android phone to be in aluminum, and I wonder if we can use it horizontally

I have something like that in my car, however I always have a plastic case on and it sticks on there no problem, issues with this pad is that over time dust will gather and you will have to wash it, but when you do it becomes sticky again.
I don't know if I can trust this pad to hold my phone well. What if I suddenly hit the brakes hard and the device falls on its face and breaks or like right out of the window? Maybe I am just too paranoid. Ha ha!
i found mine lost stick way too quick, too much hassle to repeatedly wash. I turfed it.
I think this pads have magnetic + rubber coating so that it catch phones,I have read in the comments that phones are like glued to the pad!
I hope so because our Lebanese roads are very bumpy

If you can snag some, look into Pugoo. Fully washable, quite strong, and easy to remove.
I something similar to this for my S3 and it worked very well in keeping it in place; however, when I switched to my HTC One it no longer sticks well at all, probably because of the aluminum casing. I always use my phone without a case and was never worried about my S3 unsticking, but I wouldn't use it with my HTC One unless it was in a plastic case.
