I saw this in slickdeals.net and wanted to know if this was a good deal from those who own one. Maybe a first hand experience. The cameras and specs are what's attracting me. There's some discrepancy whether its new or refurbished. Thanks.

I paid $189 for mine on black Friday, and while it's definitly not the best tablet out there, for that price it's not so bad. I'd pick it over a Nook Color or a Kindle Fire becasue you get a morefully funtional tablet.
Main weaknesses are batterly life and just a rather low quality screen. The only only thing I might consider is that Asus is coming out with a $250 tablet sometime this year that should meet and probably beat the specs of of the A100. Unless they just really cut some corners, it'll probably be worth the extra $60. But if you want a tablet today for $200 and can get an A100 for that, I'd say for for it. You probaly won't get anything better for that price.

Anyone would pick it over a nook color, and it seems better than the kindle fire (It is in my opinion). Also, that tablet which you are talking about - The Asus Memo - has probably been "canceled" (It may still come, but stripped down of the most attractive features in previous rumors. There are various places discussing this).

Its not a bad deal but it is a refurb. Just make sure Acer will still provide you the 1 year warranty for it. It says refurbished by manufacturer OR manufacturer approved vendor so check also with the seller who refurbed it if it makes a difference to you. Or you can always try craigslist but you'll probably get used ones only but they wont be refurbs however warranty will not be a full year on them anymore.
I've already gotten a Nook Color and put CM7 on it. While its great and stuff, I just feel like it's not a fully functional tablet like when it comes to videos and even gaming. Ah damn decisions, decisions!

If rumors are to be believed, the Asus MeMo has been cancelled in favor of whatever Google Nexus tablet is being prepared.

That was quick lol. My coworker has a nook tablet with cm7 also and I wasnt overly impressed with it. It was kinda choppy. Browsing wasn't great on it either. I told him to exchange it for an a100 but he never did. It was for his gf so I guess as long as she was happy with it he didn't care too much lol.

Rumors are strongly indicating that the Asus MeMo has been cancelled and is going to be the basis for the sub-$200 Google Nexus tablet, but the most attractive feature -the Tegra 3 processor - will be removed in favor of a Snapdragon dual core.
If true that is a total bummer, I was planning on getting one but now think I'll just stick with the A100 until the next generation comes out, probably Q3 or Q4.
For under $200 I think the A100 is still probably the best 7" fully functional dual core tablet out there (w/ GPS, microSD slot, full HC / soon-to-be stock ICS system, etc); most comparable tabs are still over $300 at this point. It blows the Kindle Fire away for sure (we have two of those for wife and kid, there is no comparison).
I've had a Nook Color for a while now.. went from CM7 to CM9, and it is nice. But, it lacks the "horsepower" that the A100 has, without breaking the bank.
I got my A100 today. Paid about $180 after shipping after seeing it on Woot. I have a feeling my NC will become very lonely... so, a gift for the girlfriend!
Pretty good deal from what I can tell. It is a Refurb but still a great price. I grabbed one. Did anyone notice that this is for the VanGogh edition?
Other than 1GB instead of 512MB Ram is there any other differences?
Will this affect any of the Development (unlock, custom recovery, Rom's, ETC) that are in this forum?
In other words I would hate to flash something that was developed for the "standard" device and have it "brick" my VanGogh unit. If anyone can offer details I would appreciate it.
TIA

How would you guys compare the a100 to a 16 gb HP touchpad running CM 9? Let's say one could find them for around the same price.

It's special . I have the "vangogh" edition but there's no real difference from what you can tell. NB.: It is the GEN2 version (GEN1 roms still work though). Even though it didn't recieve the 3.2.1 update, I haven't noticed the issues mentioned by users of the GEN1 while running 3.2 (which the GEN2 also comes with).

I would go for the Acer a100 since it is natively android and will have support for more apps (especially when running the modified build.prop). It's size provides more comfort for doing many things (also more portable) plus it's camera is much better than that of the touchpad.

IMO the size difference will make the biggest difference. The touchpad is very heavy and is a 10 inch tablet. You will never take it anywhere with you. After you put a case on it itll feel like you're carrying a laptop. My brother has one and he only uses it at home but from what he tells me it is pretty smooth with cm9. I've only gotten to play around with it for a few minutes but not with cm9. But wow it is heavy.
In comparison I have a transformer prime. Even though it is much faster and thinner its still a 10 inch tablet and its not easy to carry around with me. I mainly use it at home or work but I never take it with me anywhere else. The a100 however I can easily put in my pocket or give it to my gf to put in her purse for me. So a lot of times thats what I take with me. So you may need to consider what you want to use it for since you're really not gonna se a huge major difference in software (unless you get a prime). Portability might be the key for you.
A100 does or will have ICS natively in the future?
I've seen some youtube vids of the A100 running ICS fairly smoothly.
So performance wise, an overclocked/stock clock Touchpad running ICS should be equal to an A100 running ICS?
720p/1080p video, same thing?
Which one is easier to type short emails on? I'm guessing the touchpad's larger interface, multitouch would be better suited for it?
How is battery life during use and sleep?
Good deal. I've got a fire but honestly I would buy this over a fire for that price.
Just got one for my wife and thinking about getting one for myself now since I played around with it. Nice size and weight. Use to have the a500 but didn't like the weight of it. 7" is a perfect size for me. If what everybody is saying us true about the Asus 7" tab then I will more likely get the a100..
If you wanting to type on any tablet take a look at thumb keyboard. It splits the keyboard apart making it easier to type with your thumbs. No stretching across the screen to get at letters.

Padfone or G-Nexus-7 combination
I've been using a SIM-free (unlocked and rooted) Motorola Atrix 4G with the lapdock everyday as my "daily-driver" phone/laptop solution since April of last year. I used the webtop, and later on, a modded version of Gentoo with Google Docs and Libre Office to get things done. I work at a university, so if I need something other than regular office software, I just use one of the hundreds of workstations I have access to on our campuses-- I've never experienced the so-called limitations that the lapdock+phone combo presents, and the fact that I ride very crowded trains in Tokyo precludes me from bringing my $1500+ laptop around everyday.
So when the Asus Padfone came out, I was sure that this would be my upgrade path! A phone that goes into a tablet that clips onto a keyboard. Brilliant! But hang on-- now there's the Nexus 7... Pure Google, and OPEN... That plus a Galaxy-Nexus... hmmmmm.... Could that also do the trick??
Well, there's always "let's wait and see a few more months..." But the obvious happened a week ago-- my Atrix's screen gave up the ghost... Sure I can plug it into HDMI, and use the lapdock just fine, but I can't use it as a phone... GRRRR!! Oh, and check out my location to the left-- I live in JAPAN, but I travel a lot, and go back to the US every year; actually, I'm going home in a week for a month!! So I NEED a phone either just before I go, or when I get there....
REQUIREMENTS:
- SIM Free (unlocked): I travel. A lot. Internationally. I needs my unlock!
- Multi-band support: Japan uses 2100MHz for HSPA+, and so does most of Asia. The US is 850, 1900, 1700... I'd like to find a phone that supports both of these... The Padfone will only support the Asian frequency, but nothing in the States-- I'd be stuck on 2G back home for a month... I can tolerate that though because I'll at least have AT&T hotspot support. The G-Nexus of course has a PENTABAND 3G radio (why the F don't other phones <other than the iPhone> have this same radio?!) so it'll work with whatever network I throw at it.
- Open bootloader/Rooted: One of the things I really enjoyed about my Atrix was being able to tweak tweak tweak. The Nexus devices don't need an explanation here-- They're designed to root and tweak. The Padfone can be rooted now--but it's bootloader is locked... But with the exotic tweaks made to get the tablet and phone UI to work, I doubt I'd use a custom ROM anyhow.
- Tablet/Phone combo: I got spoiled by my Atrix. Being able to use a physical keyboard to respond to an incoming text message is really habit-forming. Especially if I need to type it in Japanese. Of course the Padfone would win here... Not sure if there's an app that lets you see the text and MMSs on a phone through a tablet though. The other obvious thing here is that the Padphone *IS* the tablet, once docked into the PadStation. No tethering, no separate data plan, no hotspot needed. The G-Nexus-7 combo would see me tethering the G-Nex to the Nex-7. Is there a simple app that can make an on-demand data connection between the two happen at will?
- Updates: This is what pissed me off about Motorola. The OG Atrix's Tegra 2 processor can more than handle ICS, but here it is almost 6 months later, and nothing. Luckily I can get Kang builds, but certain things just don't work for me--for example Chrome crashes ALL the time. Camera sucks, etc. Hence, I'm over using another Moto device. Obviously the Nexus duo will ALWAYS get the latest and greatest; no-brainer there. Asus? The TF series got their updates to ICS within the first 3 months IIRC. Since Jelly Bean is just a point update, perhaps the Padfone will see an update in the fall sometime--I can live with that.
- Ease of use: Not the OS, but the physical pieces... The G-Nex-7 combo is easy in the way that both are able to use the same charger (micro USB). Padfone just nests together. I like how the Padfone keyboard has USB ports and an SD card slot... Not to mentin BATTERIES galore. It's hard as hell trying to find a place to charge my phone all the time, and sometimes I'd just use the Moto's lapdock as a battery charger!
- Price: this is the kicker... The Galaxy Nexus/ Nexus 7 Combo will come out to less than US$600 when bought from the Google store. Even buying from a grey-market distributor in Taiwan, I can't buy the Padfone/PadStation/Keyboard combo for less that US$1000... I have barely that much to spend though.
Friends, I need some help deciding! Here are my pros and cons for each device as it stands today. I'm posting this in the Padfone, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7, and my old Motorola Atrix forums as well. I want some good honest and thoughtful opinions-- no haterism, flaming, or retardedness please. This is an extremely important purchase for me, and needs to be done ASAP.
As always, thank you so much for your opinions!
$200 for the N7 + $350 for the GNex is way better than the almost a thousand for the Pad phone with tablet dock + keyboard dock. (You can buy a laptop with the difference) The main advantage of the Padfone is the monster battery and you don't need to carry 2 devices, but everything else is just "meh"
Review from the Verge:
The PadFone nails the idea, but misses on the execution to the point where it feels more like a tech demo than a viable product. There are enough performance issues and app interface problems that I began to avoid using the PadFone as a tablet, and even the phone itself has some underwhelming specs for a supposedly high-end device. I want badly to be able to ditch my laptop, set up a dock at work and a tablet at home, and just carry my phone everywhere knowing I can get done whatever needs doing. The PadFone hints that we're not far from that day, but proves conclusively that it's not here yet.

In the end though, it's really up to you. If you miss the all-in-one option of the Atrix, maybe it's worth it. If you can live without it, GNex + N7 is the best option
The gnexus or the nexus 7 should be the best option . Although it might not be the perfect solution for your requirements.

True, I've seen this too. thanx.
So what are some ways I can make the tablet/phone combo a "cohesive" solution? For example, someone showed me a way to use SMS on the tablet via a software link to the phone... (of course I also use Google Voice in the US too, so there's that)
But what about being able to tether the two together? Not by a hotspot, but some sort of "on-demand" tethering? For example, I'd rather use the big screen of the tablet when navigating maps, but there's no cellular connection. Is there an app that would have the two connected via low-power bluetooth all the time, then when the tablet needs an internet connection to do something, it can send a signal to the phone and create a hot-spot (or since these are 2 jellybean devices, wifi-direct link) on demand?
For $1000 the Asus parade is a no go. For $600 it would probably be a nice experiment. For $600 I am sure the nexus x2 would inconveniently meet your needs and wants and somebody will come out with a phone/tablet case combo to wirelessly tether the nexus combo into an interchangeable video/keyboard combo. Would be cool for the geek factor too. Is it a keyboard or a monitor. You decide. :what:
butter and jelly please...
^^ Now that would be impressive ^^
I could just "make" this happen actually- All I'd need is a smallish keyboard... hmmm....

I love this dilemmas. I have had the Droid Bionic, HTC phone and Motorola phones and I have never been happier than with my Galaxy Nexus. Stock is the way to go. The Nexus 7 is a tablet and not a phone though. So if your looking for a phone. I would say, go with the Galaxy Nexus. There is a reason Apple is trying to stop Google from selling it.

bash me all you want, but android tablet apps suck and that's all that matters.
I would say the Gnex/Nexus 7.
The dev community on the Nexus devices is just insane. Plus, because it is a nexus device, it gets updates the fastest. Also, seeing this : http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/6/3064317/asus-padfone-review , I honestly wouldn't get a padfone.
No bashing here man. That's a valid setup too. As long as I can tether to the G-nex for data out in the wild, that's all that matters. G-nex seems the best to meet your requirement. You can always tether it to either your Nex-7 or iPad2 depending upon which one meets you needs (app wise).
I am using G-nex on SBM and wi-fi only iPad2. The G-nex is almost always in hotspot mode. Ofcourse you might want to invest 2-3k yen in a good external battery.
^^Ahh, a fellow Softbank user who doesn't use a Softbank phone!^^
I know if I get the G-nex, I'd be getting the 3800mAh battery as well from Seidio. What external battery do you recommend? Of course we live in the land of Akihabara, Yodobashi Camera, and more-- but this Zagg Sparq seems like the ticket to me... Can charge both tablet and phone at the same time, and it's only $50 right now too! Hmm...
Since you're doing the same thing I want to do, what is your experience like with battery and speeds? Also have you been able to use Softbank's WiFi spots with the iPad?

I can't comment on the seido battery but I have had great experience on my Verizon nexus on the oem extended 2100 battery. Perhaps you would be fine with the Samsung 2000 hspa+ battery. I have found after market batteries to be very hit or miss. Another great thing about the OEM extended battery is it doesn't really make the phone any thicker and it feels good in the hand. I actually prefer the feel over the stock battery.

From what I've heard, the best 9-10 inch tablet is the Asus TF Infinity which is the TF700.
I've heard that the note is plagued with issues but I've never heard of the TF700 having them. I know the TF201 has issues with Wifi and GPS but not the TF700 that I know of...

I would go with the tf700 infinity, even though I took mine back after wanting to upgrade from my Nexus 7. I don't understand how people use such a big tablet I have a laptop for everything my tablet won't do. Anyway its a great tablet though and it's getting Jelly Bean like right now, and it's pretty much stock Android no touchwiz or anything if you prefer straight up Android. I just researched this all and the infinity came out on top for me, or you could wait till the holidays and see what comes out. But that's you can always say that with tech.

I appreciate your input guys, I also was interested in the asus TF700 but have heard there are some quality issues... maybe you can confirm. I have heard there is a problem with some of the sceens becoming un-flush and squeaking in some spots, coming loose or something, light bleeding, dust getting under them, there is one review from mobiletech on youtube comparing the asus TF700 and the samsung galaxy note 10.1 and the asus all of a sudden got some lines through the middle of the screen right through the photo she was showing. And its was about 2-3 months old. So my worry is after time or after the warranty is up, something like that will happen and i'll be F'd.

Dude. It's an amazing experience. Been fortunate enough to have a couple different windows 8 slates and a surface in my possession for a couple weeks now. Seriously freaking awesome. I've been an android guy for years but do not think I will buy another android tablet (phones are another story, will not switch for the foreseeable future) after rocking this windows setup.
My fav thing to do with the more powerful slates is to install steam on them, load up all my games, then plug in an xbox controller and play games on an airplane... Boredom = never now.

Well I don't know what you're looking for on a tablet, but currently the 1st gen would be the best to get I think considering the price. Don't buy the $160 2nd gen model, you would have to find one on eBay or Craigslist.
The devs on here are coming closer everyday to getting ROMs for the kfHD, so if you want all the new and exciting features that Amazon had to offer go for that.
If you want an open device that is amazing, then I would go with the nexus 7. It has most of the same specs as the kfHD, but is pure vanilla Android with a few bonus features for the same price.

The KFHD is nice as far as specs go, minus the lack of immediate expansion via an SD slot, but KF1 has a robust development community. One problem with the KF1 though is it is aging in a fast moving technological world. It will be hard for it to keep "keeping up" with the ever expanding hardware requirements. Well, any piece of computer related gear is going to be outdated quickly.
If you want something "cheap" without bells and whistles, the KF1 is a good buy currently. The KFHD will be unlocked sooner or later although in a year the KFHD will be old news and something much superior will then take the stage. The Nexus 7 looks pretty sweet and that's what I would buy if I had money lol

The KF1 stock is a setback compaed with present tablet technology. If one is used to the common features of many tablets currently (camera, mic, BT, copious amounts of memory and being a non-slave device) it sure is hard to grasp the stock Amazon experience. I remember when I first got the KF1 and thought it was pretty sweet as stock.
The reason for me saying this was because the only other tablet I had experience with BEFORE I had the KF1 was a horrible El cheapo WM8650 7" resistive screen running Froyo. That thing claimed to have an 800MHz CPU but sure didn't act like it. If the battery lasted 3 hours I felt lucky. I have a Samsung Android phone that runs Froyo and has 256MB of RAM just like the WM8650 and that phone will out perform that tablet anyday! So when I got a Kindle I felt lucky but eventually was tired of the limitations of the stock software.
Ok....maybe back to the topic at hand. I can understand your frustration with a stock Kindle lol

Whats the rsp of the 10 ?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777
I do agree the nexus7 seems to be top of the line, however it does have a few downfalls that would steer me away from it (and did) 1- no rear facing camera 2-no landscape mode and 3 - no sd card slot. I would recommend a samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 it has all the above features and is priced comparable to the nexus 7 and imho it would be the better tablet also the 8 gb version of the nexus 7 is no longer available forcing you to buy the 16 gb version which is more expensive with LESS FEATURES .....hope this helps i got my daughter the samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 8 gb version for Christmas and both of us couldn't be happier. the galaxy tab also has a feature on it that's called ir blaster that allows you to use it as a universal remote all of this and the fact i only paid U.S. -175$ (retail i believe is around U.S. -199$) i think the samsing would be a better deal for features and price.

Personally, I'm kicking myself for not buying a nexus 7. Here's my point of view: the Samsung one has a camera on both sides and an SD card slot. I don't really need either. The KFHD has stereo speakers and an HDMI port. I thought they would be handy but it turns out those features are not terribly useful to me either. The nexus has crap speakers that can be fixed with a free volume app, landscape mode is locked but there's a free app for that as well. You can't plug it straight into the TV but that's also not much of an issue, because you can send it to a Roku box, or a Google TV add on box. What really takes the cake for me is, even the wifi only nexus 7 has GPS. A nexus owner can carry his tablet around the house, doing his reading, texting, and redditing; then walk right out to the car with it and drive across the country with sat-nav powered by tomtom while pumping your mp3s through the car stereo. All the while enjoying having the latest version of android.
PS. Kindles don't natively read epub files, which take up 1/3 the memory of Amazon's mobi format, without downloading a 3rd party app like moon plus or aldiko.

I agree w/ some others on here, nexus7 is a better buy! KF1 is still kind of awesome in its own lackluster way though.

Currently have PA 3.1 Galaxy Nexus. I love it. Thinking I should get a tablet. Even though I just bought a laptop. Which one though. I'm thinking nexus 10. What are your thoughts.

Do you want a big tablet? I personally prefer the 7-8" form factor as it's easier to handle and carry around. Or you can wait a few months, I imagine Google will be releasing a new tablet during I/O in may.

Hmm.. I would compare the latest ipad vs nexus 10.
I think i would go for a nexus 10. Android lover , aka the NEXUS *****

If I were to replace my Motorola Xoom tablet now, I would get the nexus 10. Although with a tablet its a purchase that lasts you quite a long time. My Xoom is 2 years old and is still functioning perfectly fine for all my tasks.

I got myself a Nexus 10. Felt right. Feels right.
I also share 18t's point of view.

Tablet Choice
My Xoom is 2 years old and is still functioning perfectly fine for all my tasks.
I also own XOOM (running TeamEos 4.2.1 155 nightly build) and am perfectly happy with it; however, I also got the itch for latest and greatest, and bought an N10 (running stock 4.2.2 stock and rooted) and love it as well.
If you're a GED fan, you can't go wrong w/ N10.

This is a good thing to keep in mind, if Google keeps with their annual update yearly on Nexus line, the N7 and N10 could be having updated versions rolling out. Or perhaps something completely different. Perhaps they don't plan on updating them at all.
That said, for a tablet you have to consider a few things you want. First what size do you want? Then what do you want to do with said tablet? What accessories do you want for your tablet? What is your budget? What OS do you want (perhaps you want a different OS, to experience different apps from a different ecosystem)? What sort of connectivity do you want (HDMI, 3G/4G...etc)? These all could point you to different options.

All valid points. Very much a nexus fan. Can't put a price limit on great tech. Android os obviously. Doesn't matter which one as root and custom ROM is a must. Size doesn't matter. Haha. WiFi connectivity is fine but 3 or 4g is an option too. Really just wanted to know what the census was out there.

Ask yourself, what you want that tablet for?
After buying mine, i find it kinda under used...
I don't need a tablet, but it would be good for the whole family, especially video call and acting as an HTPC. I've decided that it must be able to play HD videos smoothly and have physical HDMI output. This unfortunately rule out the Nexus 7 which I really like the form factor of. The Nexus 10 is overkill for my needs.
So I probably will pick up the Kindle Fire HD, but seem the rom development progress slowly and Amazon OS seems dreadful from an AOSP user. But the price point and HDMI output make it the main contender.
Maybe I'll just go for the Asus TF300T since it's only $50 more used, but I have Asia tablet in the past, good hardware but the proprietary charging port is a turn off.
I'm not ruling out Chinese tablets with rk3066 cpu as well.

I use my phone a hell lot more than I use my tablet. My nexus 7 feels like a big phone that cannot make phone calls. I have all my games on it though.

same here. i at least had the gn10.1 until two weeks ago. sold it and got a ATIV 500t.
i love the spen and the multiwindow is wonderful on the note. i may end up selling my nook hd+ later and get the gn8. i hate that i've become a samsung fanboy, but until someone else makes something better it's what i'll be getting. don't get me started on asus tablets quality control...
so, spen was more important than screen res for me.
Well while looking for a suitable 7" tablet, I went ahead and picked up a Kindle Fire HD and is underwhelmed even after rooting it. Unfortunately the ones on display at WorseBuy are in demonstration mode which lock down everything.. But I didn't want to spend more than $200. Other choices I looked at were:
-Nexus 7 is out of the question due to no HDMI out. I knew this device would be perfect except for this one factor.
-I could order some pretty high performance RK3066 chip Chinese tablet for under $100, but skip them because they have poor built quality, lots of people with battery and charging issues, sketchy to no warranty and probably not much development.
-Other choices available are the Nook tablet which I'm impressed with the high res screen, but quick search shows CM10 currently perform poorly on it and having to fork out $40 for an HDMI adapter.
-Same with Samsung and Asus tablets which also use proprietary ports and needing adapters purchase that I dislike.
-The Acer A110 tablet almost match with what I want with the bonus of microSD slot, except the for horrid screen quality and low resolution. There were the Lenovo tablet which seems to have nice build, but $300.
Main reason to get the Kindle Fire HD was the stereo speaker and standard usb and hdmi ports. Interestingly, this device have the same CPU spec as the Galaxy Nexus, yet the XBMC hardware accelerated test build playback movies smoother on my Nexus than this tablet which stuttered even with 720p MKV videos. This might be a deal killer, but its due to the poor optimization done by Amazon. Probably the only hope of my keeping this tablet would be for a working CM10.1 version for it. My disappoint of the performance of this device is mainly due to the software itself, the hardware are good. Its my first experience with Amazon AppStore and I think its junk compared to the PlayStore(though I know I can side load the PlayStore to this). It seem to be a wall downed garden like Apple, except in this case the interface sucks too.
I am very happy with the quality when connected to the TV however, along with stereo speakers, screen quality and front camera and mic for video calling is nice.
I have a Xoom running cm10.1-nightly now, if I would need to buy a new tablet I would go for a Nexus 10.
Multiple users is probably the best thing that has happened for Android on tablets. The only way to be guaranteed to have this feature is to buy a Nexus.
7" might be too small, but you might get used to it over time.
Well I returned the Kindle Fire HD and got the Nexus 7, naturally. Just fed up with the 'Amazon OS', and even after making my own 'fastboot cable' to be able to boot the device into fastboot mode and install TWRP, installed PlayStore, the device is still very limited and looks like there aren't much developers interested. My chance of ever buying another Amazon device is zero because of their locked down OS design. Too bad because it have a better screen, speaker and seem more durable than the Nexus 7 with hdmi out.
I also saw an Asus Memo Pad Smart 10 for $299 at the store with Tegra3 also, it use standard microUSB port and standard micro-HDMI out and microSD slot, amazing combo, its very rare to find a device with all these standard ports without all the proprietary craps. But being 10" its just not as portable and comfortable for me. I'm just getting the Nexus 7 to be sure I'm happy with the software and developer community, but I'm definitely checking on the development of this device also.
