I want to flash my desire with MIUI ROM. Coluld you please help me finding good MIUI ROM for my phone? I saw several threads about miui and confused.
I want to use MIUI due to it's special features like call forwarding notification. This feature is not available in any other roms. I also request MIUI concern to introduce some other features like call waiting notification.

You can try these. And next time, please take some time to search, these two threads are quite popular, they are not hidden, thus easy to find.
Cheers!

I think MIUI_AU is the best.
Can also recommend miui xj, but a2sd+ version (did not try d2ext x-part version yet, will do sometime).

MIUI already have an option to all call waiting notifications to be made.
All of the MIUI derivatives have great communities and followings, so you cant go wrong with any of them,
That said, I use MIUI_Au (perhaps being the man in charge has something to do with it).
MIUI_Au may not have their ROMs out the quickest, or squash bugs the fastest, but the English translations are second to none.
Cheers,
Josh.

MIUI 1.7.22 X-part
X-part gives you upto 2GB internal space by using a partition on SD card and fooling the phone into you having more internal space.
You need a SD class 4 and above for this but some get away with class 2, the best thing you wont see that low space message ever again
A2SD version
I dont like A2sd because not all the app is moved to SD card some of it still sits on real internal, so you will soon fill it up and get that low space message.

Hi all, I have HTC desire and I am constantly running out of internal memory I am going to root the phone to solve this. I am a complete noob to this so which custom ROM would be easy to install and stable out of the following Cyanogenmod7, LeeDroid 3.0.5 or MIUI ROM, Thanks
Id try the cyanogenmod or miui.
Cyanogenmod 7 or Gingervillain plus CMHBOOT(from alpharev.nl) can solve your problem I think
Thanks for replies jroc716 & plohoi. I will have closer lock at the ROMS ye have recommended
all these rom's r running fast and stable. internal-memory problems had gone by integrating ext-partition(s). so which rom u take is just a matter of ur personal favors.
I have had look at the ROMS suggested in this tread and I am going to flash MIUI Rom by xavierjohn22 but not sure which version is most stable. Should I flash the froyo version (2.2) or 2.3.4 gingerbread (latest version) or 2.3 gingerbread. . I be grateful for any help on this, thanks
1st of all you better obtain an SD Card at least Class4 then follow the guide with the link I will give below. This will help you move your applications to SD and have more space.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016084
And as a ROM Choice, better use InsertCoin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016940
Thanks alpivelopx for the reply. Ya I have class 4 SD card and I have carefully studied the noob proof guide just can’t make up my mind on which rom to flash.
I likr the look of MIUI have any experience using this rom? Which version is most stable?
I have had a look at InsertCoin and having the new Sense would be cool.
I use google maps a lot and assume this bug “compass doesn't always point north” will be a problem. Is there a stable Froyo version?

At first: One cannot say, which is the best rom. It's a personal feeling. You should read the posts where the authors describe there themes and then you should decide. If you cannot, just try one. If you like it, stay with it.
I think you should install the latest version of MIUI. It's usually the most stable version.
I cannot find a (stable) Froyo version of Insertcoin. Maybe ask the author (baadnewz) if he can upload it for you.
Thanks Matdroid, I think your right. I'll try a few roms and decide which is best for me.
I can recommend Leedroid 2.4.1.
A very good and stable Sense rom with A2SD+!
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Like others have said... it's more of a personal opinion with ROMs as to their speed and usefulness but if you can get by with the compass issue until it gets resolved (hopefully shouldn't be too long as devs are working like crazy at porting sense 2.1/3.0 to desire) I warmly recommend InsertCoin.
The chef is pushing updates like there's no tomorrow an also makes time to answer people's questions (how he manages it I don't know...) and also you have all the info you need in the first 2 post of the thread.
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016940
PS: regarding speed, keep in mind that benchmark apps (Quadrant) don't tell the full tale. Try the ROMs for yourself.
I second leedroid 2.4.1..... fast and stable with a2sd+. I wouldn't bother with gingerbread yet still a bit buggy

+1 on leedroid 2.4.1
My first not-htc-rom was leedroid v.3.0.5. It was nice. But since a while i use redux v1.2. I like it much more than leedroid, although you have to readjust a little to use a non-sense-rom.
The best froyo sense rom is the InsertCoinHD 2.0.1 Data2Ext.
The best gingerbread rom is InsertCoin v25 CM7.
Keep in mind that Cynogenmod and Miui don't include Htc Sense on it.
I've been using on Leedroid (froyo) for sometime and it was great and stable.
I'm running now Insertcoin v25 (gingerbread) and it's also great. I got 2 issues that I can live with - the compass issue (not pointing north) and the camera makes my phone boot itself sometimes. but other than that it's great.
Both roms have a2sd+, and if you want something stable than I recommend Leedroid 2.4.1. After some time you can get gingerbread roms based on the official release from htc (something like mid-june or a bit later)
Hi
Hmm running out of internal Space *gg*
I Recommend you use InsertCoin, or an ROM Which fits on CM Hboot, Here is the System Partition smaller, difference space is added to userdata, so "more internal" Memory for you.
Pls. Think if you change your SD Card, or crash of it, your OS Cant booting because 1/3 of our System is stored on it. (sdext)
S-Off required.
If you don´t want to manipulate hboot (afraid of crashing bootloader), use any App2SD Rom.
I have many Problems with DATA2SD and DATA2Whatever Scripts.
App2SD is very good.
*I User Insertcoin GS_V26* and i´m happy with it.
Baadnewz is providing these Rom with STock or CM Hboot.
Just Look at a few Roms, (Download 2-3 Roms and test it) an fix install it, which you mostly like. ))

@MindVision1Thanks for the reply. I am right in saying the Hboot resizes the internal memory to allocate different amount of space to the system. You can get different hboot's from http://alpharev.nl/ so I am right in saying the cm hboot you recommend is the Bravo CM7 on alpharev site.
So If I go with the CM Hboot I have to get a custom rom that fits the 130MB system memory and will also have 300MB free for apps on the internal memory.
If some of the rom is on the sd card and I remove it or it gets damaged I will have a major problem?
How do you know what size a ROM is?
My desire is stock with no branding
Im using Htc Desire,I wanted to flash to Miui rom from Supernova Extreme rom, i noticed that there were 4 MIUI roms outthere, MIUI AU, MIui XJ, Detox Miui & Portugese Miui
Which one shall i Use?
N I noticed that they mention A2SD need to be activated, what does tis mean?
Currently I have 13GB fat32 and 1GB ext4
hope to hear some replies soon
Well, all MIUI Roms are very good. No doubt.
I use the MIUI XJ because that is what i prefer.
But ive heard that the AU is supposed to ru smoother.
I have heard about the A2SD activation thing here is a link: miui-au.com/faq/a2sd/
(Im sorry about the inconvenience with the link but because im a new user on xda i cant post real links.)
BTW i also have the same setup for the SD card.
Cheers.

My littlest sister just "inherited" a Wildfire S from my mother, who got a new phone.
Now, the stock ROM is completely useless beause of the lack of space. So I have unlocked the bootloader and installed CWM to work some magic on it.
I am considering installing a 2.3.5 Rom with Link2SD. But of course, if an ICS ROM is stable enough (modpunks CM9 seems to be the best?) and is pretty swift, ICS is better than GB.
Some questions though:
1: Is Link2SD a good choice amon the ther A2sd-options like Int2ext4+?
2: Is any of the ICS ROMs (like modpunks) an OK choice for a non technical kid after it's setup? Or if not, what GB ROM should I go for?
I live quite a few hours away, so it should preferably "just work" ones it's set up. Of course, it ill occasionally hang, reboot etc., but the less the better, and she won't be able to do anything techie to fix anything. Fixing permissions nd wiping dalvic cache from recovery is pretty much wht I cn expect to talk her through.
int2ext+ is best... and ICS is stable now... try paranoid android ICS, it is good for daily usage... If your sister found any difficulty using ICS then going for wildchild/hense mod GB roms ...
May I suggest miui or cm alpha 9 only by mod punk. Int2ext+ is a good option as she won't have to go into technicalities. It'll work in background and would be faster than data 2sd.

Thank you. modpunks alpha 9 seems to work well with the miui camera except for automatic back light - but with a toggle in notification drawer that is not a problem. is there any particular int2ext+ I should use? It seems to be more than one modified version out there.
edit: iI think I'll just use CronMod int2ext4+.

I use int2ext4+, Thats specially if you have a ext4 partition. There aren't more than int2ext+ version. They are either int2ext, ext(bla bla)...
So just find int2ext+ or int2ext4+...
Here's link for ext4 one : http://d-h.st/EVF
Thank you very much for your help. It seems to run surprisingly fast with Modpunks CM9 Alpha 9 and int2ext4+, especially after I changed the CPU settings to 768 or something max. Now she's playing some silly game or another, and is indeed very happy with her "new" phone. Now her parents will be afraid of what and who she'll be texting on kik or whatever with her smatphone, but with no credit card connected and mobile data turned of, at least she'll not ruin them.
THIS
jellyking1.0 cm10 (soon to updated as promised by the creator) + int2ext+ like you said + eoghan's kernel + 806MHz cpu clock

Hi, sukhjut321, do you know which custom sense Rom can run int2ext+/int2ext4+ ? I am running http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797588 sense 3,5 rom now but non of the int2ext is working. D2sd is slow and lagy for me. Any particular sense rom recommended for working int2ext?
hensemod, wildchild, alaadragon fire are sense 2.1 based roms that support int2ext scripts... supreme mod also supports it but it is little over themed, you can use it if that wont bother you..

I never tried any sense rom with int2ext. It'd be great if you post a new thread asking. I don't wanna give you any wrong suggestion.
Why don't you go for link2sd? Even I switched back to it gives me more freedom.

Hey ppl ! My friend has this phone ! And I just wanted to help him get the latest android version ! So what's the most stable ROM out here ? I don't want to create a partition in my SD card for the ROM to work ! Or if the ROM is real good I don't mind creating a ext4 partition

You'll probably want to create an ext-4 partition because of the limited internal memory. You won't be able to install many apps if you don't.
Try VJ's CM10.1

You don't want to create a partition but you don't mind creating a partition?!?
Anyways, best ROM threads are not allowed on xda. Everyones idea of "best ROM" is different, so you should try a few out and see which one suits your needs. With that being said pretty much all of the aosp gingerbread ROMs are quite stable. My personal favourites are milwilds.

I use An-Droid for year and a half or so, and I'm always nitpicking about stability and I'll be using it for two moar days
If it is a favor u r doing for him, avoid Jellybean.
Tell you what, Evervolv's ROMs are the most stable and fastest. Slim them down, use jmcclue's smaller system-size hboot, and you are awesome
Im liking MildWild 5.0 for smooth and stable everyday use.

Suernova 2.4.0.1 is the one, and it also provides a memory extension, throuhg flashing data2sd.
MildWild MW 14 (Redux), super smooth, fully woking camera and userfriendly aps2sd implementation.
I am also using MildWild 14, it's stable, fast and smooth. Totally recommend it!
Mildwild rom are the more usable with android 2.x if you want a nice and simple rom with the ability to use a lot of apps and almost bug free.
For android 4.x ROM I think it's best to wait the evervolv team (aka Nikez) with kitkat which seems to be the fastest rom with all the latest improvements.
For the stability Mildwild rom rocks. But its gb. So you can not install some apps or you can not use the latest version (gmail etc.)
If you wanna 4.x rom on htc desire, for now 4.0.4 ics roms are is the best solution i think.
Give a try marius.a's qissme port http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095658
or directly the qissme rom (without a2sd, intext support but u can use link2sd from market) http://desirecustomrom.blogspot.com/2013/04/qiss-me-rom-404rc-21005.html
Roms stock launchers is not good enogh but u can install nova/apex/aviate/milauncher etc. from market.
Edit: 210 mb hboot will enogh for qissme rom
Hi everyone
i've tried all the Roms for the Desire, but i'm a speed fan, so i suggest absolutely the Mildwild MW-14.
I use Miui-XJ for everyday use and i think it's the best GB NONSENSE ROM for this phone.
Then i tried Mildwild-ROM = clean, stable and powerful and RSK Sattelite 3.5 = Sense ROM very stable and full of utility on it
The ROM based on ICS and JB it's heavy for the hardware. but the authors like evervolv team, vijendras and chromium make an excellent work for the life of this phone.
Greets!
Now, the most stable roms are the stock ones. So you can try that or most of GB roms. If you want to newer ones, try Chromium's or VJ's. But problems of these roms are camera and soft reboots.
For me, now it's most stable Evervolv KitKat rom (Nikez 4.0.0p2). No soft reboots or such things. No of JB roms is so great.
*Stock*
As with any thread of this type, each user need make the choice on their own. While this thread has survived, many end up in arguments claiming "this is the best".
As always, it's best to try some out and find which is "most stable" for you.
Thank you and thread closed
Hello,
I am searching a ROM which should be FAST and with a INT2SD support. (or similar) I was using Runnymede before and now I am using the VJ CM10.1. I started to get tired of the low performance and the various bugs.. (I am not complaining of course the VJ did amazing work who brough 4.2.2 in our mobile but when spontaneous reboots happened in the worst occasions you are searching for something more stable )
So, which one you suggest? What about MIUI XJ ?
PS: xda-moderators, why you dont create a sticky thready which has a Poll about the rom that the users are using?
Thanks,
c.
Milwilds redux ROM.
I can recommend MIUI XJ too.

They did try, but they're just not that useful...
1) requires people to actually bother to vote
2) way too many roms to even put on the poll, and do you break each rom down by version number??
3) the poll wouldn't update when people switch roms, and people wouldn't bother to change their vote
4) people that do vote might be people that just say "IT'S THE BEST ROM EVA!!!!" without any justification, also you don't know how many rom's they've tried to arrive at this 'conclusion'
5) people's rom requirements are different, only you know what your exact requirements are . If you try a few roms and find the one that's best for you, then that's progress. Nothing wrong with people giving recommendations here and there, but you can quite easily then pick a rom which is best for them (which is kind of what the poll does)
Any AOSP CM7 based, Oxygen, MildWild's, dGB etc.
problem is in your phone, not VJ rom.
we can't recommend, you need test them all byself.
