Foreign cases - Galaxy S II Accessories

Anyone know why some of the cases have the top corner missing?

The Korean version of the phone has an antenna there that protrudes a bit from the body of the phone.

Slim Fit Mercury Case

I love this case. I got it in turquoise mint and I love it. The case is a TPU silicone (sorta) case. It fits but its flimsy enough to easily take on and off. Sadly, what I didn't know is that when shined in the light, the phone case is a bit glittery. But hell, I don't care.
This case also comes in many colors. Plus when I got the package, there was a cheap cut out Thank You card. That means a lot, considering all the stuff I buy from amazon is in bubble wrap and just a....disgusting plastic wrap.

Only thing I don't like about those cases are the cutouts for buttons. When I get a tpu case I want to be as protected as possible. I'd go crazy looking at those holes for the antenna and sd card slot. Just extra places for dirt to get in.

I do have like two extra port holes on the case that I don't understand why they're there.

The top one is the antenna and the one on the left is the sim card slot. That case made for the Korean model that our phone took design after. Just those 2 changes. Are the only difference.
Well now you ruined the mystery to him lol

Have had this case for a couple months now; best of the four TPU-type cases I've had yet. It stays on very well, doesn't lift up screen protectors (!), and protects enough such that I still have no damage after a couple drops (3-4 feet out of the pocket style). The glittery styling on the back is nice yet subtle too. Yes the cutouts are a bit odd on a US model, but all things considered it could be worse!

Cases

I have the battery cover that has the flap that covers the front of the phone and was wondering if there's a case to go over the battery cover part to protect the back of the phone.

I think he meant 'and doesn't interfere with the hinge or cover'.
Which one of the products on the page do you think might work?

Was looking for the same solution myself.... Haven't found it yet, either....
Maybe taking a clear TPU case and trimming it so there's still some corner protection on the hinge side....
My bad thought you wanted a case that covers the back and has a flap.

It could be done with an original samsung case, but you need to cut the left side to accomodate the flip. This ahs been done with the Note 2...

S4 Design

Just a question, does anyone's S4 have a little line on the upper right edge(The metal band)?
Also, just a fyi, these plastic battery door are fragile. Somehow, I got a little dent on my battery door right above the T, on the T-mobile logo..
Picture?

Dont have a 2nd camera.. but Its like the iphone where it has a little gap on metal band, except the s4 is likr 10x smaller.. on the top right corner of the metal strip.

I think I know what u r referring to...its on the top right and also on the bottom left...its the part of design...

Ok here's a photo from another site with what I think you might be talking about.
http://www.sammobile.com/2013/05/09/broken-corner-around-the-display-of-the-galaxy-s4/
Now there's two things here, the line where the fat metal band was fused together/bent around the corners, very faint but visible. There's also a very visible line on the top part of the metal band. This is where the people from the other website were having issues, is one of these what you're talking about?
On my own white GS4, there is a faint line on all of the corners of the fat metal band, but nothing on the thin one.
yep. That's what I'm taking about. Except I dont have 1 on my bottom left.

Yup just noticed..its on all four corners...I think its tge way it was built..nothing to worry about..

Intersting.. Mine's only on top right corner.
Is it leftover goo from the clear tape they used as scratch covers?
Can you scrape it off with a fingernail or use a little rubbing alcohol?

Build quality

Does the bezel is so fragile? I know from my S1 that its scratching easily or peel off, but i have the phone for 2 weeks and a strange dent appeared on lower rigth bezel near the display, but i haven't dropped the phone and Im the only one who is using it. The dent looks more like someone stucked a pencil tip between the bezel and display and some part of the bezel lifted away from the spot.
Edit: Saw now that this is the Note 1 forum, sry for mistake, I have a Note 2.

The bezel on my Note 2 is scratched a little in the cornets but I have dropped the phone, also a tiny part off my screen is scratched but because I lend my phone to my mom and she put it in her purse. But the bezel being separated from the display have never happened to me
Sent from my GT-N7100
Yea I got exactly what you're talking about but mine was because I dropped mine on a hard surface. The bezel has even pulled off from some of the corners. I'm looking for a way to take the entire chrome off.

Likewise
I will try to use a spray paint a (chrome silver) spray paint and I will let you guys know if it works..
But for the mean time I tried this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZuYzQrIHjA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
And my note 2 looks awesome now..I dont know if you guys will appreciate it.. just saying =)

[Q] Is there a protective film on the lens of the T-Mobile Note 3?

I've read a few comments that suggested removing the protective film on the lens of the note 3. I have tried to remove it on my T-Mobile Note 3 and I cannot so I'm thinking that it might not be present. I can't even see or detect one at all and I am scared that I might scratch the lens if I keep trying. Have any owners of the T Mobile Note 3 successfully removed a protective film from their camera lens?
there was a protector on my voda note 3
Is it noticeable? My lens seems crystal clear and I cannot see or feel the edges of any material over the lens. Maybe it's only on certain carrier versions?

There is one on ky n9005
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
yes, i got it on both of my NOTE 3
probably some one was using that phone for Demo, and removed the protective sticker already
Brand new phone opened by me. I'm almost positive there is no film present. I would like to hear from another T-Mobile user just to be sure.

Fellow T-Mobile N3 owner here. Mine came with a protective film, and I'm gonna hazard a guess that your unit simply didn't come with it.
The film is not completely transparent, nor Space Age-thin, and you'd see: A) a small circle cut in the center of the film through which light could enter the lens uninhibited; and B) a semi-circle of plastic dangling off one of the edges to allow for easy removal -- it's very noticeable upon close examination.
I myself ripped it off after a few days, but now I'm wondering whether I should have left it on. Better safe than sorry, and all that.

Now I'm 100% sure that mine didn't come with it. Strange. Thank you.
Present on mine, still have it on for my paranoia until I get a decent case in. I see no difference when taking photos though.

Strangely enough I bought 2-note 3 at a same time at the same store, 1 has clear film on it and the other NOTHING.
Got 2 Note 3's... Both have plastic in the camera... (Both T-mobile version, 1 black & 1 white...)

2 notes, sealed no cover on mine..was sure there would be...spent like 30mins inspecting them lol
All 3 of my n900t didn't have a film on the camera. Weird.
Just got mine and there was no protective film on it.
